Who was William Shakespeare? He is far more elusive, and his life more obscure, than his fans and biographers will admit. We consider the massive, bloated mythology that has built up around the great Bard over the centuries, and then examine the remarkably scant surviving documentary records from the writer's own lifetime, which tend to paint a both bizarre and unflattering picture. The first of three installments examining the reality of Shakespeare. We are launching a series of calls to help us reinforce a coordinated DiEM25 narrative about where Europe and its nations are right now politically, economically, socially, and our movement’s role is in these historic times. All calls will be conducted as teleconferences, with coordinators (NCs, EWs or DSCs where the former do not exist) as panellists, and all other DiEMers as participants (with the right to ask questions, but not participate in the discussion). Participants can also come from other countries. The duration of the calls will be 2 hours each. From the side of the CC, in each call, there will be 4 members participating, two men (Yanis being one) and two women. One of the four will also be the moderator of the discussion, taking questions from the observers and facilitating the discussion among the “panellists”. All interventions from panellists must not exceed two minutes, so as to allow everyone the same space to express themselves. In today’s video we are going to discuss how to find a job in finance in 2020 and particularly how to find a job in finance during difficult times like during the coronavirus pandemic. What to expect when looking for a job during coronavirus. Visit our website: www.onfinance.org Follow Patrick on Twitter Here: https://twitter.com/PatrickEBoyle Patricks’ Books: Derivatives: https://amzn.to/2yOdRoN Corporate Finance: https://amzn.to/2T56Syu Statistics for Traders https://amzn.to/3dUv8vn The US economy has shrunk almost 5% in the first quarter of 2020, many experts are predicting the worst economic recession "in our lifetime." The Bank of England is predicting the worst economic slowdown in 300 years. Right now, 33 million US workers are unemployed So, times are hard, or at least harder than normal, but that should in no way deter you. These jobs are always hard to find It usually takes 3 - 6 months to find a good job In difficult times you just must double your efforts Many of your competitors will feel discouraged and give up – you don’t have to. This job hunt will not be fun, but by the end of it you will have built an amazing skillset and be so much more resilient than before. You have a full-time job right now, and that job is the job hunt You are a salesperson! You will find that you will be selling for your entire career. The seven key steps in your job hunt: 1. Inventory your skills and work out how they could be useful to a variety of employers 2. Build a high quality cv, have friends check it, eliminate buzzwords and management speak 3. Create a list of firms you could apply for. There are lots of great firms that you just haven’t heard of. 4. Read the financial press, look for firms that are growing or expanding. They should be high on your list. 5. For phone interviews, use “cheat sheets” 6. Apply online to all the big firms 7. Find an exhaustive list of big firms on Wikipedia. 8. Seek Internships and full-time jobs That is the easy stuff out of the way. You need to set goals, the goals need to be short term and achievable. You need to break complex tasks down to their simple components. What is the first step? Step 1: get a meeting. Step 2: Then lots of meetings. Build a written plan, judge yourself against it be systematic Set short term goals 1-5-day goals Find jobs that have not yet been advertised Contact real people not companies Have a spreadsheet or word file where you keep detailed notes of your meetings. Judge your progress by the results you see, not by the number of applications The job hunt is a numbers game, the moor meetings you get the better your odds are. Prepare for an interview with a friend Search online for how the interview process works at the firms you are applying to. Find the typical questions Research the firm and the people interviewing you Prepare for well-known interview questions, prepare genuine good answers. Keep searching right up until the moment you have signed an employment contract – don’t slow down just because you had a good interview The harder you work at your job-hunt the more likely you are to be successful.

The coronavirus crisis is revealing that the powers that be of the European Union have learned nothing from the Eurocrisis. They are currently betraying the interests of the majority of Europeans in the same way that they have done so in 2010 -- by failing to mobilize existing money and public financial instruments in the interests of the many. With their current decisions, they are jeopardizing public health, public goods and the interests of Europeans. Every day at 20:00 CEST switch on the television from the future! These 7 movements can be used to underpin pretty much any scale or arpeggio that you could possibly play on the guitar, and when you do you get the benefit of all the skills you've previously developed in a whole set of new ways! This is a very powerful way of getting the most return for the effort you invest in learning new scales and arpeggios, which is why I take advantage of it all the time. Fundamentally, if you can adapt or reuse a motor skill then you'll get the benefit of it so much more quickly than if you have to learn a new one from scratch and that's the basic principle in play across all of these 7 classes of movement. 03:16 3 nps - Major, Minor, Diminished, Bebop etc. 06:21 2 nps - Pentatonics, 9th Arps, leading note chords. 07:34 1 nps - sweeps, arps, chords. 08:12 2:1 - 7th Arpeggios 09:31 3:1 - Pentatonics, 9th Arps, 10:48 2:1:1:1:2 - Major and minor Arpeggios 11:47 4nps - Chromatics - stretched scales. Hello everyone, welcome to our intermediate session on Sangiovese, an essential guide for those studying WSET Level 2. To enhance your learning experience, be sure to check out our comprehensive WSET Level 2 mock exams, available here: https://e-learningwine.winewithjimmy.com/course/e-learning-wine-level-2. In this session, we delve into the intriguing world of Sangiovese, a grape variety at home in the warm Mediterranean and continental zones of Italy, especially Tuscany and Umbria. Discover why Sangiovese is not just famous in Tuscany, but also regarded as one of the most alluring and complex expressions of the grape. Learn about its journey from being a single varietal in wines like Brunello di Montalcino to its common use in blends with both local and international varieties. We'll explore how oak barrels are used in the vinification process to add complexity and soften Sangiovese's rustic charm. Understand the key locations and sub-zones where Sangiovese thrives, particularly in the DOCG areas of Chianti, and how the aging process influences its profile. We'll also cover the typical characteristics of Sangiovese, including its red fruit flavors, oak background, and how aging brings out notes of leather, tobacco, and nutty characteristics. If you're in London, feel free to visit our wine schools or join us for a class or a glass at the Streatham Wine House. For any questions or comments, please reach out on social media or through our channels. Whether you're preparing for an exam or simply passionate about Italian wines, this session will enrich your understanding of the remarkable Sangiovese grape. Thank you for tuning in, and best of luck with your studies and wine journey. Looking forward to your feedback and seeing you soon! #Sangiovese #ItalianWine #WSETLevel2 #WineEducation #WineLover #WineTasting

It's a unstable mine and very very slippery in the rockpiles on account of the soapstone......subscribe for the next video!

In the last few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation that China's government is manipulating or hiding the accuracy of it's coronavirus cases. President Trump and Dr. Birx tried to prove this point by comparing China to some of the world's most affected countries in Europe, however the comparison is apples to oranges, and not fair. In this video, we break compare China's numbers to its Asian neighbors and explain why China's numbers are much more accurate than you think. Missing in action. I've been getting a good few questions asking about how to learn the guitar neck. Which approach is best, which scales you should learn, is one approach better than another? So this week I thought I'd talk about, what sits behind many of the videos I've produced. There is a global struggle taking place of enormous consequence. Nothing less than the future of the planet is at stake. The end of history promised peace and global prosperity. Instead, it has destroyed communities, impoverished workers, and brought our environment to the brink of collapse. Feeding on the discontent, a network of right-wing factions is spreading across borders, working to erode human rights, silence dissent, and promote intolerance. The time has come for progressives around the world to organize. - Let’s mobilize behind a shared vision of democracy, solidarity and abundance. - Let’s stand together to fight inequality, exploitation, discrimination and environmental degradation. - Let’s reclaim our communities, our cities, our countries, and our planet. https://progressive.international/ Subscribe to the Progressive International's Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jcRtN6RUCU&feature=emb_title SUPPORT US --------------------- Join DiEM25: https://diem25.org/join Donate to DiEM25: https://diem25.org/donate
Hello and welcome to our WSET Level 2 friendly session on Gewürztraminer, one of the most aromatic and exotic grape varieties in the world of wine. Enhance your wine knowledge further with our comprehensive WSET Level 2 mock exams, available here: https://e-learningwine.winewithjimmy.com/course/e-learning-wine-level-2. This session is designed to give you an essential understanding of Gewürztraminer , perfect for those studying at an intermediate level. We will explore Gewürztraminer's unique characteristics, its preference for cooler climates, and its typical expressions ranging from dry to sweet. Discover why this grape variety thrives in Alsace, France, and how its history in this culturally rich region contributes to its distinct profile. Gewurztraminer is renowned for its intense aromatics, often single-varietal due to its overpowering nature. Learn about the complexity of Gewürztraminer, from its high alcohol content and full body to its relatively low acidity. Despite current trends favoring light and acidic white wines, Gewurztraminer remains a fascinating study for its bold and distinctive qualities. While Gewürztraminer is most closely associated with Alsace, its cultivation is limited, making it a unique and specialized grape. We'll delve into the various styles produced in Alsace, from the approachable Alsace AOC wines to the more complex and intriguing Grand Cru selections. Expect to uncover the sensory profile of Gewürztraminer, from its floral notes like rose and honeysuckle to stone fruit and tropical flavors, and even the spicy undertones that its name suggests. If you have any comments or questions, or if you're in London and would like to join us for a class or a glass, please get in touch with me at @WineWithJimmy on Instagram or Twitter. Our wine schools and wine bar are always open for wine enthusiasts and learners alike. Thank you for joining this session on Gewürztraminer. For those seeking a deeper dive into this aromatic grape, including its history and more detailed characteristics, do check out our advanced version. I'm Jimmy Smith of West London Wine School, and I look forward to seeing you again soon. Enjoy your wine journey! #Gewurztraminer #WineEducation #WSETLevel2 #WineWithJimmy #AromaticWines #WineLover
