Now that we're ready to dig downhill trails, what's the plan? Today, we take a look at Berm Peak as a whole and decide what the overall layout will be. The map you'll see in the video is a rough idea of how many trails I want, and where they're go. The names and exact routes will probably change as we work our way through the woods. We don't normally notice until we try to take a picture of the whole visible spectrum (like in a rainbow!). For example if you take a picture of a rainbow with a goPro Hero 7 violet disappears! We follow the five Tudor monarchs’ struggle to consolidate power in royal hands and forestall a collapse back into the civil wars that ravaged England in the 1400s. Beyond the soap operas of Henry VIII’s marriages or Elizabeth’s love affairs, we consider the real workings of power, money, and propaganda as England rises from a European backwater to a commercial powerhouse and leader of the Protestant world, especially as seen from the viewpoint of the Dudleys, the longest-surviving family of royal consiglieri operating behind the Tudor throne. Officially, at least according to the Turkish government, it is a museum. In this lecture, Prof. Shapiro discusses China and Vietnam as the two most successful examples of capitalist authoritarian regimes that have emerged in the post-communist era. He talks about causal drivers of growth in both countries, the reform era in China before the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests, the sequencing debate of political and economic change, on why we should rethink modernization theory and expectations for the future of democracy in China. How did we get from the huge euphoria that followed the fall of communism in the early 1990s to our present politics of fear and resentment, and what are the prospects going forward? This DeVane Lecture series course entitled “Power and Politics in Today’s World” with Professor Ian Shapiro answered some of those questions. This course in the fall of 2019 was open to Yale students and the general public. Ian Shapiro is the Sterling Professor of Political Science and Global Affairs at Yale University. He has written widely and influentially on democracy, justice, and the methods of social inquiry. The DeVane Lecture series was established in 1969 to honor William Clyde DeVane, dean of Yale College from 1939 to 1963. In this lecture, Prof. Shapiro walks the audience through the international architecture of the early Post-Cold War world. He first discusses three lenses of thinking about politics (interests, institutions and ideals) and then applies them to guide his students through the first post-Cold war crisis, the role of NATO after the fall of the Soviet Union, the origins and meaning of the Washington Consensus, and the formation and expansion of the EU. What led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and why did it collapse so peacefully? Prof. Ian Shapiro discusses the events leading up to the fall of the Communist regime and its aftermath, including the rise of "gangster capitalism" in Russia, the transition from President Boris Yeltsin to Vladimir Putin, and why corruption is still so prevalent in Russia today. Professor Ian Shapiro introduces the class “Power and Politics in Today’s World.” This course provides an examination of political dynamics and institutions over this past tumultuous quarter century, and the implications of these changes for what comes next. Among the topics covered are the decline of trade unions and enlarged role of business as political forces, changing attitudes towards parties and other political institutions amidst the growth of inequality and middle-class insecurity, the emergence of new forms of authoritarianism, and the character and durability of the unipolar international order that replaced the Cold War. How did we get from the huge euphoria that followed the fall of communism in the early 1990s to our present politics of fear and resentment, and what are the prospects going forward? -Found in Monroe County, Illinois -Made of bauxite or "flint clay" -Dated to early 12th cent. AD One year after being shared with patrons only, this second installment of History of the United States in 100 Objects becomes public. We consider the statuette of a woman tearing into the back of a serpent (known to archaeologists as the Birger Figurine), which was found broken in pieces and buried in a pit outside of a small village site in Illinois. The figurine, despite its small size and condition, is the most exquisite piece of art surviving from the Mississippian civilization, a massive and powerful urban society that dominated the interior of North America for more than three hundred years before falling into decline and obscurity. The statuette most likely represents a goddess of death and rebirth that presided over the Mississippians' prosperous golden age. Suggested further reading: Timothy Pauketat, "Ancient Cahokia and the Mississippians"; Reilly and Garber, "Ancient Objects and Sacred Realms"; Guy Prentice, "An Analysis of the Symbolism Expressed by the Birger Figurine." I built a guitar with barcodes instead of strings - but it has a few extra features including programmable buttons, pitch bend, and octave and channel shift, which are all controlled by retro game controller joysticks and buttons. It's based on an Arduino MEGA with a USB host shield and a MIDI shield. In the demo I'm using an Arturia Beatstep Pro, a Noveation Bass Station, Alesis DM5 drum synthm and a Korg X5D. Despite the warnings of deadly contaminants on board, multinational SBM Offshore allowed a heavily polluted gas tanker to be demolished on an Indian beach in 2018. The tanker contained high concentrations of mercury. A specialized bureau warned SBM that workers could inhale mercury fumes during demolition, leading to lasting neurological damage or even death. From discussions with those directly involved, e-mails, and confidential documents obtained by ZEMBLA, it appears SBM attempted to conceal the presence of mercury in order to avoid millions of euros in cleanup costs. Ever wondered how we got hold of cartridge ROMs in the 90s? How they were originally extracted? Well, usually it was through a device like the Super Magic Drive. This little unit hooked up to a floppy drive and not only allowed you to "backup" cartridge ROMs to floppy, but also load those floppy ROMs back into the console. This was useful for development purposes as well as for PIRACY. A lawsuit linked to the devices was inevitable, but rather than being aimed at it's manufacturer, someone else took the brunt... ** For exclusive videos, mystery boxes and other rewards, please consider supporting me at; https://www.patreon.com/nostalgianerd ** ☟Sharing☟ If you wish to share this video in forums, social media, on your website, *please do so*! An easy way to accurately set your vertical axis position on your DRO. My DRO is called TouchDRO and it is a free Android App available from https://www.yuriystoys.com It runs on an 8" Android tablet. You can use very cheap tablets but I have found they lose the bluetooth connection every few days and need to be rebooted. The Samsung tablet I have now is much more reliable. I use magnetic scales made by Optimum. #tipblitz19 #tipsblitz19

People asked for this so here it is. I run this ignition map on 98 Octane (RON) fuel. Please do not blindly copy and paste this ignition map. If you do, please retard the ignition timing across the board and go from there. Any sort of tuning you do to your engine you do so at your own responsibility. That all being said, a few words about my bike carb 4age ignition map. It's actually divided into three zones based on throttle input. Bottom loads are for fuel economy, the middle part has the goal of providing instant torque and the top 30% of throttle opening has the obvious task of providing performance. This is a version 1.0 of my ignition map and I have made it through a lot of testing both on the street, on a real dyno and with a dyno app called perfexpert. It has been developed over time and might receive updates in the future. I highly suggest that you also develop your ignition map for your particular engine step by step until you are satisfied with it. How to setup and use Perfexpert: https://youtu.be/AHacDcIQDCs Perfexpert vs. Real dyno: https://youtu.be/Lx5238pqJak Perfexpert for android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.perfexpert&hl=en Perfexpert for IOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/perfexpert/id549390700 #d4a #ignitionmap #bikecarb4age #bikecarbconversion #throttlecable #bikecarbsoncars #throttle #4age #4age16v #aw11 #ae86 #4agebigport #mr2mk1 #mr2 #toyota #jdm #celica #corolla #starlet #ke70 #fx16
Square Off - the app-connected computer chess board that moves its own pieces. Manufacturers Website https://squareoffnow.com Affiliated Amazon Links US: https://amzn.to/2NXASKW Amazon UK: https://amzn.to/2Nbim26 Amazon DE: https://amzn.to/32BlgRg FAQs WHAT'S INSIDE THE BOARD? A few people queried why I didn't show the inside workings. It honestly just didn't cross my mind. I imagine everyone here can already picture exactly what will be inside without having to see it. It's going to be a small circuit board attached to something that looks a bit like a flatbed X/Y plotter arm with a magnet on the end. I thought about going back and adding a section in to show the internals for the sake of completeness - but I couldn't see a way to open it non-destructively. However if you really really are desperate to see the insides - then just search for 'Inside Magic Chessboard' on youtube - but you'll almost certainly wish that you hadn't bothered. Q) How does it deal with castling? A) You can see this (twice) in the video - watch the section with the streamed game. Q) How does it deal with pawn promotion A: Answer from here: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/square-off-chess-set?page=3 “When you are promoting a pawn the app pops up with four choices Queen (the board comes with two), Rook, Knight, Bishop. You pick your promotion and it recognizes it from there.” Q) How does the little horse ‘jump over’ the other pieces? A) There’s no anti-gravity technology employed - but you can see the Knight manoeuvring around pieces at 8:53 Q) Where did you get that phone stand A) It was included in the box - it’s the same as this one on Amazon (affiliated link) https://amzn.to/32Gnpez Q) That wasn't Check Mate in McMullet & Blowhard? A) It wasn't a real beard either. CORRECTION: It’s approx 30 years since I last played chess, not 20 as stated in the video. ---------------SUBSCRIBE------------------ http://www.youtube.com/user/Techmoan?sub_confirmation=1 -------------Merchandise----------------- https://teespring.com/stores/techmoan-merch -------------SUPPORT--------------- This channel can be supported through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/techmoan *******Patrons usually have early access to videos******* ----------Outro Music----------- Over Time - Vibe Tracks https://youtu.be/VSSswVZSgJw ------Outro Sound Effect------ ThatSFXGuy - https://youtu.be/5M3-ZV5-QDM ------AFFILIATED LINKS/ADVERTISING NOTICE------- All links are Affiliated where possible. The five most important things you need to get started in woodworking. Getting started in woodworking can be overwhelming at first. What tools should you buy and in what order? Do I need to have all those expensive tools I see on TV and YouTube? In woodworking there are many ways to perform just about every task. That means there are many options when it comes to buying tools. There's a common theme in woodworking; there's almost always an expensive way and budget friendly way to do everything. I always suggest buying what you need to complete that first woodworking project. Then add tools and supplies as you need them. Yes, bigger tools are extremely expensive but they allow you to work more efficiently. That means you can get started with the more budget friendly hand power tools. Do whatever you can to get started and upgrade down the road as your budget and desires grow. Nothing says "home improvement" like building a mountain bike park in your yard. Today, we build an elevated roll-in deck at the summit of Berm Peak. I'm calling it, "The Flight Deck". In the future, we could build drops, bridges, or any number of features off the flight deck. This was a pretty big build for one amateur carpenter to do in a weekend, so I sure learned a lot on this one. Enjoy! In the modern world of airtravel, pilots still play an essential role in safely flying the plane. But when it comes to flying rockets, humans have always taken a back seat, since computers are capable of getting into orbit with much more accuracy. I built animatronic robot heads for my Performance Robots series. These robots are intended to be reliable, robust and transportable so they can visit various shows and take place in various collaborations. My ultimate aim is to add intelligence to a live performance so that the audience can interact. The robots are controlled by DMX, and so the heads are separate DMX devices which means they can operate independently if required. The front panels have a number of (a lot) LEDs so that I can display animations. Each head has three servos to give the three degrees of freedom at the neck - each one is a separate DMX channel. I need to build hands next as well as some more cosmetic panels, but we'll see! ① HARDWARE/SOFTWARE What more important hardware is there in life than the clothes on your back and the cup in your hand.
