Brake bleeding can be an intimidating bike repair, but it's actually really easy to do—much simpler than many other repairs. Today, I'm going to show you how simple the concept actually is, and get you on track to bleed your own brakes. According to a recent poll, about a third of you are already bleeding your own brakes, so maybe you could help answer some questions in the comment section. Get yourself some rubber gloves (I know I wasn't wearing them). Also rags and a spray bottle for alcohol or water. I'm a part owner of Clik. You can support this channel on Patreon! Link below Over the years I’ve found that there are plenty of people who use captions, not just those who need them. But did you know that it took until the 1970’s for anyone to think of putting captions on TV? I can sort of understand that, since captions might be annoying if you don’t want them, but closed captioning would save the day and provide access to all, but only when needed. Here's the link for making translated captions for my videos: http://www.youtube.com/timedtext_cs_panel?tab=2&c=UCy0tKL1T7wFoYcxCe0xjN6Q Please don't feel compelled to do it, but if you'd like to give a bit of your time, I promise you'll get that imaginary badge! Akko and Haifa are the two holiest cities for the Baha'i Faith. The Baha'i Gardens, located on the slopes of Mt. Carmel in Haifa, Israel, have become a major tourist site in recent years. Baha'i pilgrims also travel there to pray and meditate at the Shrine of the Báb located in the gardens. Why are these two cities holy to the Baha'is? What is the significance of pilgrimage here? Difficult stuff to talk about, but I think it raises some issues worthy of discussion. Note: I regularly back projects on crowdfunding sites, I'm not being negative about people who do the same - I think there's just a lack of helpful information to judge the odds of the product coming to market.

If you want to find all the chords and arpeggios related to a particular key on the guitar, then this is the video for you. One of my regular viewers asked an interesting question... "Since many solos involve highlights on the top 2 or 3 strings... it'd be great to dive into the arpeggios that are available in that limited zone. Maybe strings 1,2 then strings 2,3, and then all three. One situation might be finding the I, mII, IV, V, mVI in one position. And anything related that might spark for you." I realised I used a few different approaches to this, so I thought I'd dig into them this week.

This video featured as an Astronomy Picture of the Day! https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap181208.html Official Explanation: You can pack a lot of sky watching into 30 seconds on this tiny planet. Of course, the full spherical image timelapse video was recorded on planet Earth, from Grande Pines Observatory outside Pinehurst, North Carolina. It was shot in early September with a single camera and circular fisheye lens, digitally combining one 24-hour period with camera and lens pointed up with one taken with camera and lens pointed down. The resulting image data is processed and projected onto a flat frame centered on the nadir, the point directly below the camera. Watch as clouds pass, shadows creep, and the sky cycles from day to night when stars swirl around the horizon. Keep watching, though. In a second sequence the projected center is the south celestial pole, planet Earth's axis of rotation below the tiny planet horizon. Holding the stars fixed, the horizon itself rotates as the tiny planet swings around the frame, hiding half the sky through day and night. Extra Info (original description): This timelapse is heavily distorted because it's packing a full spherical image (think globe of stars) and reprojecting it onto a flat surface (your screen). For the first minute or so, the standard "tiny planet" timelapse, the center of the image is straight down - you can see the tripod and the shadow of the camera; the outer edge, literally the entire ring at the edge of the circular image, is straight up, that's why the rim looks so distorted. In fact I made the "planet" a bit smaller as well by throwing in a sqrt(theta) so the edge is even more stretched... Once the frame switches around and the stars stop moving, I've changed the center of distortion from straight down to straight towards the south pole; the ring at the edge of the frame is now the north pole, and Polaris, the north star, is smeared out over the whole outside of the image. It's kinda weird. However, in this view, the center of distortion is the same as the center of rotation of the stars, so you can spin the frame and none of the stars appear to move! I like to think of this as the whole sky always being "there", but the earth blocks about half of it ALL THE TIME! I shot this timelapse over the course of about a week. (the camera was pretty tired and I went through a bunch of 64BG SD cards...) I ended up finally capturing one good 24-hour span with the camera pointed up, and one good 24-hour span with the camera pointed down. I was using a circular fisheye lens with a 185 degree field of view to capture the entire sky in a single photograph. I also flipped the camera over to take a picture of the ground and capture a full spherical image (albeit separated by a day). I did a whole lot of math and editing in Lightroom (twice for each of the "up" images), Matlab for color temporal smoothing, Davinci Resolve for stabilization and looping, back to Matlab for spherical "unfolding", back to Resolve for compositing the top and bottom images, back to Matlab again for redistorting into the "tiny planet", and finally back into resolve again for a final render. When presented with a meeting-free Friday afternoon we did what any normal person who has access to Irving Finkel would do - we asked him to teach us cuneiform. We're not really sure Nick learned anything, but hopefully you will. If you want to learn cuneiform from the man himself, Irving has written a book to help you with just that. It also includes the cheat sheet we were both using: https://bit.ly/3wJzm5x Outside the UK? My backyard mountain bike trails are about to get a makeover. Today, Skills with Phil is calling the shots on Berm Creek. You could say he's "Philling in" while I'm injured. In addition to Phil, Kevin stopped by to dig for the day which ended up making all the difference. We made some adjustments to the "trouble double" and even built a brand new surprise feature off the sicknic table. Today is gonna be a good day! I'm a part owner of Clik. Well, ok, not EVERYONE is angry, but most are, and I think it's down to the principle of the matter more than anything else. So, Sony have recently launched their Playstation Classic Mini console, and it's not unfair to say that reception has been cold. That's not to say that it's a total pile of crap, and you can have a lot of fun with it. But looking through the firmware source code, it's clear there were games on Sony's agenda, which may have made it into the Classic, but didn't. These hidden Playstation classic games will feature in this video, along with the reasons why I think we can be annoyed with Sony over their latest console (and why we also shouldn't really give a crap). A review of the budget Aukey DR01 dashcam. A simple camera with plenty to like - but because of one issue, I just can't recommend it. *CLICK 'SHOW MORE'* Hopefully it can be fixed with a firmware update. I keep a list of my favourite dashcams here: http://www.techmoan.com/what-is-the-best-dashcam/ Aukey DR01 Affiliated Amazon Links Amazon UK: https://amzn.to/2E2dlnk Amazon US: https://amzn.to/2Pjrezp NOTE: I did not put this in the subscriber feed *on purpose*. This is *not* a YouTube glitch. Feedback tells me that the vast majority of subscribers to this channel are no longer interested in my dashcam reviews. With the 'notify subscibers' option unticked everyone still gets to see this video in their 'recommended videos feed' and they can decide whether or not it is a topic that they want to see. No-one misses out - but also no one can complain about 'oh another rubbish dashcam video in my feed - I really hate these' What I'm doing here is a survey - I'm seeing how many people actively click on a dashcam video - if it's negligible then I know that I'm best concentrating my efforts elsewhere. So please just bear with it - and let's see how this pans out. It's like a free newspaper - you might post it though 100,000 letterboxes - but if 95,000 of those households immediately put it in the recycling without reading a page then you are probably wasting your time. I want to see how many people are actively interested in dashcam videos. This is a way I can find out. Putting a video in the subscriber feed guarantees it a number of views that it might not deserve. ---------------SUBSCRIBE------------------ http://www.youtube.com/user/Techmoan?sub_confirmation=1 -------------Merchandise----------------- https://teespring.com/stores/techmoan-merch -------------SUPPORT--------------- This channel can be supported through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/techmoan Patrons usually have early access to videos ----------Outro Music----------- Over Time - Vibe Tracks https://youtu.be/VSSswVZSgJw ------Outro Sound Effect------ ThatSFXGuy - https://youtu.be/5M3-ZV5-QDM ------AFFILIATED LINKS/ADVERTISING NOTICE------- All links are Affiliated where possible. With SpaceX aiming to drastically reduce the cost of getting into space with their Starship/BFR, it's easy to forget that the Space Shuttle once promised the same thing. Worldwide right-wing factions are rejecting the norms of democracy, freedom of the press and individual rights. With the rise of authoritarianism, we are seeing the deliberate instigation of bigotry and intolerance toward the ‘other.’ We must comprehend the scope and purposes of the ultra-conservative movement if we are to effectively confront it. To prevail, we must clearly articulate a vision of shared prosperity, personal freedom, economic fairness and, most importantly, human dignity – the basic tenets of a vital democracy.
