Veel kijken thuis met familie en vrienden, terwijl anderen de wedstrijd liever samen met een grotere groep volgen. Over de uitslag lopen de voorspellingen uiteen, al hebben veel supporters vertrouwen in een goede afloop voor Marokko. Na de eerdere prestaties op het toernooi is de hoop groot dat de ploeg ook tegen Frankrijk kan verrassen. De kwartfinale Frankrijk - Marokko start vanavond om 22.00 uur. A new documentary investigation has uncovered how the United Arab Emirates supports a secret network of military training camps for the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces that enables them to continue their deadly war in Sudan. “This war, which is often categorized in international media as a civil war, is really a proxy war,” says award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker Julia Steers. “We’re talking about a really extensive network of logistics and training and financial backing from the UAE.”

Het Openbaar Ministerie (OM) gaat Tata Steel strafrechtelijk vervolgen. Volgens justitie stoot het bedrijf in IJmuiden opzettelijk stoffen uit die gevaarlijk zijn voor de gezondheid van omwonenden. Tata wordt ervan beschuldigd de fabrieken slecht te onderhouden, soms zonder de juiste vergunning te werken en incidenten onder de pet te houden. De strafzaak van het OM is een vervolg op de massa-aangifte door advocaat Bénédicte Ficq. In 2021 deed zij, namens 800 omwonenden, aangifte tegen Tata. Die aangifte was aanleiding voor een jarenlang onderzoek. Op 20 november dit jaar start de zaak, met een regiezitting.
