Here's a quick video showing you how to clean, remove rust and re-coat your wheel wells to get them looking like new. Also, here's a seriously good product to coat your wheel wells with: https://amzn.to/2JtfSsk To restore the wheel wells we need to take the following three steps.First we clean, then we repair any rust, and lasty we re-coat the wheel wells Cleaning the wheel wells is by far the most tedious task becaue there will be a lot of dirt and grime there. To clean the wheel wells I use a heavy duty degreaser, some stiff and tough brushes and a washer and canister attachment on my compressor. If you have a pressure washer that will probably work even better. I also use a big tub to catch the water to avoid creating a flood in my garage. The first thing I do is apply the degreaser per the instructions on the can. Usually you have to let it sit for 10-15 min so it can do it's thing. I then wash it down with a mixture of car washing shampoo and water. Then it's time to shake the dirt and grime with a brush. And then repeat the procedure until you have removed all the dirt. It will probably be impossible to remove ALL of it, but you need to get the wheel wells reasonably clean. Once you have cleaned up the wheel wells you might notice that there is some rust present and this is the stage when it needs to be addressed. Once you have washed your wheel wells it is very important to remove the plastic covers and check that area for rust. The aw11 mr2 is famous for getting rusty on the edges of its side skirts, because water and dirt, and rotting leaves often accumulate there and create rust. So it's definitely a good idea to check this part here once or twice per year. According to the previous owner my mr2 has been repainted 4 years ago, and there is already some pretty significant rust in the notorious area. The procedure for removing rust is well known. Grind away and paint with a nice high quality primer. Once the primer is dry and everything clean it's time to recoat the wheel wells. There's a lot of different products out there for this purpose but I found the one I use in the video (Nigrin - stone chip protection) to work really well. It creates a rubber like, long lasting flexible coating that resists stone chips, water and pretty much all other road conditions. The great thing about it is that it bonds to the surface really well even when it's not perfectly clean. Apply the coating as per the instructions on the can. This one calls for 3 layers. Once the coating has dried and you have reinstalled your plastic covers you can behold your results. Is Reel to Reel the new Vinyl? Short answer: No. Long answer: It's complicated - Press Play. In this video I'll be playing pre-recorded tapes from 1957 & 2017 The first half concentrates on the history & background, and the second moves onto the current day and the most expensive pre-recorded music format available for the home. CHAPTERS 01:11 i) History - Explanation of the format 15:01 ii) Now - The ultimate in high-end analog music More Information/Links: The Tape Project (Tapes & Useful Information) http://tapeproject.com The Verge Article from 2015 https://www.theverge.com/2015/10/5/9409563/reel-to-reel-tape-retro-audio-trend United Home Audio (High end 15ips machines) http://www.unitedhomeproducts.com Horch House (Tapes) https://www.horchhouse.com Opus 3 Records (Tapes) http://www.opus3records.com Analogy Records (Tapes) http://www.analogyrecords.org What Hi-Fi article (quoted in the video) https://www.whathifi.com/features/holy-grail-vinyl-art-half-speed-mastering Clearly a short video like this can't hope to cover every possible aspect of the complete history of Reel to Reel from 1928 to 2017...for example it's missing facts like the first stereo tapes were recorded in Germany in the early 1940s, how the different thicknesses and formulations of tapes affect sound quality, and why tails-out storage of tapes is recommended. If you would like more information on reel to reel the following website is a great place to start: http://reel2reeltexas.com/index.html If you are shopping for a Reel to Reel machine on ebay - here's my affiliated link http://ebay.to/2j1afnA UPDATE: DUPLICATION PROCESS The company that I contacted have now answered my questions and clarified their duplication process. They borrow the master tape, make a copy (or more likely a number of identical parallel copies on a bank of tape machines)...they then use these copies as their master to run duplicates off that they sell to you. The original master is returned to the studio. The 1957 stereo demo tape can be heard in full on my website: http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2017/12/14/is-reel-to-reel-the-new-vinyl.html ...and yes the demo tape contains the voices of Art Gilmore as the narrator and June Foray as the bowler - you can see this written at the bottom of the tape box at 08:17 -------------SUPPORT--------------- This channel can be supported through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/techmoan Patrons usually have early access to videos ---------------SUBSCRIBE------------------ http://www.youtube.com/user/Techmoan?sub_confirmation=1 ----------Outro Music----------- Over Time - Vibe Tracks https://youtu.be/VSSswVZSgJw ------Outro Sound Effect------ ThatSFXGuy - https://youtu.be/5M3-ZV5-QDM
One of Ravi Shankar’s sitars was donated to the British Museum and is now on display in the Sir Joseph Hotung Gallery of China and South Asia. In this video, Shankar’s daughter Anoushka Shankar plays extracts from two compositions on the sitar that was owned by her father. The first is a composition by her father based on the Carnatic raga Charu Keshi, in the rhythmic cycle of teental (16 beats). The second is Anoushka’s own improvisation on the raga Manj Khamaj. Hear more of Anoushka Shankar playing the sitar in this video: https://youtu.be/o6HzjWiCLNc The British Museum has been given a sitar that belonged to Pandit Ravi Shankar for 40 years. The sitar has been given to the Museum by his widow, Sukanya Shankar, their daughter Anoushka Shankar, and the Ravi Shankar Foundation. Ravi Shankar is known today as the person, above all others, who introduced Indian music to the world outside the subcontinent. Born in Varanasi, in northern India he spent some of his childhood in London and in Paris, but returned to India to study music with his guru Allauddin Khan. He went on to work as a composer, performed and taught across the world, and played with musicians including violinist Yehudi Menuhin and guitarist George Harrison of The Beatles. In this video find out more about Ravi Shankar, the history of this sitar and how it came to be donated to the Museum. Making a retro mid-century modern console out of walnut plywood using dowel joinery. Use my promo code 'MAKESOMETHING' on eero.com for free shipping on your order! http://bit.ly/eeroMake This woodworking project Sponsored by eero Mid-century modern design is very cool and very timeless, but it wasn’t designed with the cords and wires of modern technology in mind. To remedy the situation in my own house, where the TV, modem, speakers and other gizmos are making a huge mess, I’m constructing a custom console to get everything in place. I’m using walnut plywood here, along with panels made from acrylic and cloth. We’re using dowel joinery in the assembly for added structure and strength. Dowel joinery can be a little tricky, so I have a pro-tip that helps you get the dowel holes lined up perfectly every time. Overall, though, this how-to tutorial shows you how surprisingly easy it can be to build a mid-century modern console that meets your specific needs. The great thing about combining woodworking craftsmanship with mid-century modern design is you get the retro look you want and still account for the technology that didn’t exist in 1962. This project hides the electronics away — and those ugly cords — while still giving you easy access to them and preventing them from overheating. It's hard to even begin to quantify what the "most difficult piece of music" is, but if we look at it through the lens of Physical Virtuosity and Conceptual Virtuosity, we can at least get a good idea of what difficult in music even means, and what are some contenders for the most difficult piece of music. 𝄢 Kyle Gann’s take on Ben Johnston’s 7th String Quartet http://www.artsjournal.com/postclassic/2010/03/the_mount_everest_of_string_qu.html 𝄢 Cristina Deutekom slaying the Queen of the Night like some sort of robot synthesizer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQpTGKXAxqA 𝄢 ALASH (Tuvan Throat Singing) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHdOT64Ycwc 𝄢 YEFIM BRONFMAN (Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no. 3 in D Minor) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFkAwFDZGHk 𝄢 Paganini Caprice no. 24 performed by Alexander Markov (absolutely badass!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZ307sM0t-0 𝄢 ERUPTION covers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iTt38Bc85o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rV6SmY04WdE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1HcxELJzTM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2WHk4C9OTg 𝄢 Covers of THE BLACK PAGE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_7qf8M6DiM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZNE4iX2i10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROmJx_S4EMo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFfWD96y06c 𝄢 Covers of Failing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb2X-zsKfl4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XD6GVuESgPs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykzBY_qC8Oc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9kjso91MPA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9P8C6-XqaNs&t=126s ⦿ Adam Neely T-shirts!⦿ https://teespring.com/stores/adam-neely-merchandise ⦿ SUPPORT ME ON PATREON ⦿ http://www.patreon.com/adamneely ⦿ FOLLOW ME ON THE INTERNETS ⦿ http://www.facebook.com/adamneely http://www.instagram.com/its_adamneely ⦿ Check out some of my music ⦿ http://sungazermusic.bandcamp.com http://insideoutsidemusic.bandcamp.com http://adamneelymusic.bandcamp.com Peace, Adam

I had been wanting to take a 24-hr timelapse of the tides for over a year now, ever since I began playing with the 24 hour technique last last summer. I had recently obtained the necessary battery gear and fisheye lens, and on December 2-3, 2017, I had the (almost) perfect conditions to take this timelapse. There were more clouds at night than I would have liked, but on the other hand, there was a supermoon falling across a weekend (early Sunday morning, technically). Not only were they some of the largest tides of the year, but I didn't have to be at work, so I could stand outside on Campus Point (Goleta, CA) for over a day babysitting the camera (occasionally wiping seawater off the lens)! Of course I couldn't pitch a tent on the beach because it was on campus, so I will say that it wasn't fun to be out there, but I had periodic fast food deliveries from my roommate, and a lot of layers on at night. I biked out to the location Saturday afternoon, and the camera ran uninterrupted until sunset on Sunday. One of the most perplexing things to me is the lunitidal offset in Santa Barbara. The highest tide follows the lunar meridian by about 8 hours. It seems like the tides are almost 90 degrees out of phase. I can only assume that's a local effect due to being at the mouth of the Santa Barbara Channel headed into the Pacific. I'm a huge fan of the Axoloti Core development board. The reason it took this long to do a video is because I simply don't know where to start!
Modes are one of those subjects that can confuse people and especially guitarists. In this video I try and untangle what a mode is, how it relates to a 3 note per string position and why I think understanding it from a harmonic perspective probably makes the most sense.
Masses connected by Pulleys on an Incline. Yet another classic problem to tackle in constrained motion. This is one relatively easier.
After watching, you can solve any problem with multiple pulleys, using the concept of constrained motion.
In this video, we have three boxes in contact. Let's calculate the acceleration and contact forces on each one of them

Stylophone Gen X1 giveaway over on my patreon! aswell as an extended download of this jam .wav file!:- https://www.patreon.com/lookmumnocomputer Jamming with the kosmo 2.0, a stylophone GEN X-1 100 Oscillator mega drone. Along with an adjusted module of the previous arduino keyboard sequencer, that is jigged up to be presets! also later on this month stems will be made available for it over on my Patreon. for more info on the arduino keyboard controller check it out here :- https://www.lookmumnocomputer.com/projects/#/sequencer-keyboard/ A bit more info on how this was done. - Vocal loop goes into electro harmonix 45000, which also has a homemade passive mute pedal! and a reverb and a vocal transformer in its loop. so you can bring it in and out, send one side of the outs to pitch up and also reverb and stuff. That mic is phantom power, annoyingly i lost my phantom power box, so i had to run it through a mixer just to power it!, but when in headphones, its worth having a more crisp vocal than an sm58. and my SM7's capsule has broken (if your reading this and distribute shure mics,,, pleeeeease can i have a new capsule for my SM7, they cost nearly as much as the mic to replace!) :) :) :). -the bass line is sequenced by the beatstep pro. The keyboard has a rotary switch that can select between midi channels 1-4 channel 1 and 2 go to the first beatstep (the only one im using in this video) channel one is the bass line, so i play it in and the beatstep records it, youll notice the riff is 128 steps long, so i had to half the speed of that sequence and pplay half time as the beatstep can only do 64 steps. then i flicked over to midi channel 2, the step was set to 6 steps long, and i recorded in some notes in the Am chord as an arperggio kinda thing. - the presets to make it suddenly go big are explained at the end of the video! -I added a band pass to the kick module last which which i can switch on and off, really useful to bring the lows out and sweep up to build to a "drop" -the juno is going through a vca gate, which is triggered by a trigger out on the beatstep. just wack the release to max, and to the second poly mode (what makes the juno 106 a million times better than the juno 6 and 60), which then removes the last played notes -the beatstep is utilising all of its 16 drum trigger outs with a piece of arduino code which is touched on in a zine on my patreon! any more info just ask in the comments! How I built my Star Wars BB-9E Droid from Star Wars The Last Jedi ,which was used in the video last week with Colin Furze and his life-sized Kylo Ren's TIE Silencer. This video is sponsored by eBay. Check out last week's video to see BB-8E in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GH0Iz22xigo This Star Wars BB-9E builds is similar to my BB-8 Build, but was designed to have enough traction to drive on grass. One of the most famous stories from the sort of cricket involves numbers, averages, and a duck. More links & stuff in full description below ↓↓↓ Archive footage courtesy of AP Archive: https://www.youtube.com/c/aparchive * Batting average list shown was current in December 2017. It includes one still active player (Australian Steve Smith) whose average will change. It is a list that uses a threshold of 20 matches minimum. Different lists use different minimums for matches, innings, or runs scored to weed out freakish cases. ** Comparing athletes, especially across sports, is notoriously difficult and more of a conversation starter than exact science. An interesting article here: https://www.statslife.org.uk/sports/1989-did-don-bradman-s-cricketing-genius-make-him-a-statistical-outlier *** A lower "not out" score in Bradman's next innings would also have made a 100+ average possible, but that's a very unlikely scenario in the "first innings" of a match. I did not want the video getting bogged down by intricacies and unlikely scenarios. In case you are curious, here is the scorecard for the next match Australia played... http://www.howstat.com/cricket/Statistics/Matches/MatchScorecard.asp?MatchCode=0318 Numberphile is supported by the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI): http://bit.ly/MSRINumberphile We are also supported by Science Sandbox, a Simons Foundation initiative dedicated to engaging everyone with the process of science. This series celebrates the work of living Japanese artists and craftspeople. Mori Junko employs traditional Japanese metalworking techniques including hand-forging steel with thousands of individually hand-cut nails crafted together to create compelling sculptural forms. Her signature piece is now in the Museum’s Japanese collection. She takes inspiration from the world around her and uses her imagination to turn metal into organic sculptural forms. She initially worked as a welding assistant in Toma steel factory. In 1998 she came to the UK and enrolled in a silversmithing and metalworking degree at Camberwell College of Art. Now based in the Llyn Peninsula, Wales, she is a transnational artist whose work graphically demonstrates that national boundaries do not contain, but actually inform an artist’s vision. She combines traditional Japanese attention to detail and technique with a European concern for fresh vision and innovation. This film series has been produced with the support of JTI.

We live in an era very different from the years gone by. If someone had presented me with a handheld console, with a colour screen that contained 298 games (or there abouts) in 1991, then I would have lost my mind and blown several tops. Now you can pick a machine like this up from sites like Wish.com and Aliexpress for mere dollars/pounds. I was enticed enough to purchase one and thought I'd have a quick look. I'll probably do a wish.com unboxing thing and then I might even take it apart and poke some components if you're lucky. ** For exclusive videos, mystery boxes and other rewards, please consider supporting me at; https://www.patreon.com/nostalgianerd?ty=h ** ☟Sharing☟ If you wish to share this video in forums, social media, on your website, *please do so*!
