Hindi version of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bZPX3dcQv4&feature=youtu.be Hey guys! This episode talks about the controversies related to Thaat. The sub-topics covered are: 1. Bilawal vs Alhaiya Bilawa: Is alhaiya Bilawal different from Bilawal? Why does it represent Bilawal best, even when it has a komal note in it? 2. Deskar and Bhoop: Why do they not fall under the same thaat even when the have the same notes? 3. Bilaskhani Todi and Komal Rishabh Asawari: Why are they called types of Todi and Asawari respectively even when they fall in thaat Bhairavi? ================== background score credit: bensound.com This video is the property of Anuja Kamat and prior permission needs to be taken in order to download and re-upload the video. I decided that my Spiderman robot should have at least one web shooter, but not silly string! So I went about designing a Spider Web shooter contained within one wrist, but still allowing the hand to make the Spiderman 'webshooting' motion. I hope you enjoy part 4 of building Robot Iron Spiderman. ① GENIUS No MacArthur grant yet. But while I’m still waiting by the phone for that call, maybe you might patronise me with your Patreon-age. I finally managed to find some time and work on my suspension again. In episode 2 of the suspension overhaul I am removing all of the suspension parts that will get their bushings replaced with brand new polyurethane bushings. I will also be replacing the ball joints and tie rods. For episode 2 of the suspension overhaul I had hoped to have all the suspension components removed, but all I managed to remove was bits from the rear passenger side of the car. Rust is the enemy and all the suspension bolts are seized. This makes the job super hard and slow. I even bought an impact wrench, and then another better more expensive impact wrench. I was naive enough to think it will be enough to make the job super easy. It didn't, but it did make it possible. In the episodes to come I will remove the rest of the suspension components, do a bit of restoration work and install the polyurethane bushings. I will also make short, informative useful, tutorial type how to videos for you guys out there that plan to do this yourself. My blog: http://www.driving4answers.com/ Music provided by Frequency. Credit: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Credit: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory https://www.llnl.gov 13,650 ft Parachute deployment Operation Dominic was a series of 31 nuclear test explosions with a 38.1 Mt total yield conducted in 1962 by the United States in the Pacific. This test series was scheduled quickly, in order to respond in kind to the Soviet resumption of testing after the tacit 1958–1961 test moratorium. Most of these shots were conducted with free-fall bombs dropped from B-52 bomber aircraft. Twenty of these shots were to test new weapons designs; six to test weapons effects; and several shots to confirm the reliability of existing weapons. The Thor missile was also used to lift warheads into near-space to conduct high-altitude nuclear explosion tests; these shots were collectively called Operation Fishbowl. Operation Dominic occurred during a period of high Cold War tension between the United States and the Soviet Union, since the Cuban Bay of Pigs Invasion had occurred not long before. Nikita Khrushchev announced the end of a three-year moratorium on nuclear testing on 30 August 1961, and Soviet tests recommenced on 1 September, initiating a series of tests that included the detonation of Tsar Bomba. President John F. Kennedy responded by authorizing Operation Dominic. It was the largest nuclear weapons testing program ever conducted by the United States and the last atmospheric test series conducted by the U.S., as the Limited Test Ban Treaty was signed in Moscow the following year. The operation was undertaken by Joint Task Force 8. The U.S. conducted 210 atmospheric nuclear tests between 1945 and 1962, with multiple cameras capturing each event at around 2,400 frames per second. These are the declassified films of tests conducted by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

When mercury is added to aluminum, it forms an amalgam (a mercury alloy). Aluminum is normally protected by a thick oxide layer, but the formation of the amalgam disrupts it. It allows fresh aluminum to react with air to form white aluminum oxide. As the oxide grows, it forms as these cool white fibers. ■ Pre-order the NileRed BZ Reaction Kit - https://inqfactory.com/nilered ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Merch - https://nilered.tv/store ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join the community: Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/nilered Discord - https://discord.com/invite/3BT6UHf NileRed Newsletter - https://nile.red/home#newsletter You can also find me here: Facebook - https://m.facebook.com/NileRed2 Instagram - https://m.instagram.com/nile.red Twitter - https://mobile.twitter.com/NileRed2 Nile talks about lab safety: https://youtu.be/ftACSEJ6DZA Chapters: 00:00 - Why You Can't Bring Mercury on a Plane 00:20 - Setting Up The Reaction 01:49 - Run 1: It Looks Alive! 04:21 - It Still Grows... 05:15 - Run 2: It Looks Different Every Time 06:38 - Inspecting The Aluminum 07:06 - Practical Uses For This Reaction Music in credits (Walker by SORRYSINES): https://soundcloud.com/sorrysines/walker

I found an interesting article which essentially tried to answer the question "What's the most productive way to practice?" This blog post by Noa Kageyama of bulletproofmusician.com introduced me to a scientific study which attempted to answer this question. In my guitar practice sessions, I have used and still use all three methods that the research compared, but I'm certainly going to heed the results of this study as one method seemed to clearly stand out over the others!

Today, we build a North Shore style freeride drop in my backyard. Here's what I used to build it. I'm a part owner of Clik. We make better, easier valves, backwards compatible with Presta. https://clikvalve.com Get Early Videos & Behind the Scenes! 🚲 http://bermpeak.substack.com MATERIALS 1) 8ft treated 6x6 2) treated 2x8's 5) 2x4's cut 16" each 1) box of deck screws 4) 4" x 1/2" lag bolts 1) bag of fast-setting concrete You could build this whole thing with a drill, shovel, circular saw, and large adjustable wrench, but my job was made easier with some cordless tools from Ryobi. ryobitools.com/nation #RYOBINationRocks CORDLESS POWER TOOLS Drill and Impact Driver https://thd.co/2JgTTU4 Jigsaw https://thd.co/2PT6FLg Miter Saw https://thd.co/2q73QL4 I also used a level, gloves, and safety glasses. This is Berm Creek, a tiny but steep mountain bike trail I built in my yard. Right now everything here is blue, meaning it’s of intermediate difficulty. Today, that’s going to change. Now the title of this video says I’ll be building a North Shore drop, but that’s not entirely accurate. Having visited the North Shore, I know that most of those features are built Ewok style, from actual trees in the area. So technically, this will be a freeride drop, built from lumber that any of you can get at your local home supply store. The main support will be an 8 foot 6x6, and the joists will be 10 foot 2x8’s. Since these will make contact with the ground I’m using pressure treated lumber, which gets nasty and slippery. For the parts making contact with the tires, we’ll use run of the mill 2x4’s. All this lumber costs under $75. I’ll spare you the details and leave a list in the description. Step one is to survey the area. The drop will jut out directly from my front yard, as the hill falls below it. With the hill as a landing, we should be able to get about 8 feet of vertical drop with some speed. Maybe more. I’m digging a three foot hole to sink the post into. This isn’t an exact science, so to cut the post to size I’m dry fitting it and approximating where it lines up with the top of the hill. We’ll have the ability to adjust the joists slightly later on to get them level. If you’ve never seen a cordless mitre saw, let me tell you it’s the future. I’ll need to cut a ton of slats today, so this thing will be coming in handy. This 2x4 is only temporary. I’m using it to hold the post in place while I position it. I want to make sure it’s standing straight up, and pointing in the right direction. This fast setting concrete will ensure it stays that way permanently. To get the drop level I’ll need to dig the front end of the joists into the ground, so I’m attaching them temporarily with one screw each, so they can be pivoted up and down. I’ll use the offcut from the 6x6 as a post for that side, no concrete required. This post not only helps with rigidity, but also makes it easy to level out the drop. Once things are in place, I can cut a little curve in the end to ensure that no sharp edges stick out of the ground. There’s probably a better way to do this, but I’m figuring this out as I go along. Time to make things permanent. Two 4” lag bolts with washers should do the trick. Lag bolts are real strong, and I think they’ll make this drop look legit. It’s amazing how fast concrete can set. This thing already feels like it was born here. Now for the slats, which will be 16” wide. This can be done with any saw, but a mitre saw sure does make it go faster. I’m drilling pilot holes and securing these with 2 1/2” deck screws. To space them evenly, I’m using a piece of 3/4 inch plywood as a gauge. I’m not even 3 hours in, and this drop is almost complete. To get the sharp edges and splinters off, I’m hitting the edges with a rasp. After that, there’s only one thing left to do before this drop is rideable. Berm Creek is now officially a black diamond. With a crude measuring device I made from a 2x4, the tire marks indicate a 10 foot vertical drop. With a little more speed I think 12 or 13 would be no problem. Building this drop has motivated me to get back to work on Berm Creek. I need to work on drainage, and the berm. We also need to put these tools to use, and bring more North Shore flavor to North Carolina. What do you guys think? We still need to name this drop, so leave your suggestions below. I’ll make a sign for it once we choose something. If you liked this build video and want to see more, thank Ryobi Tools for helping make that possible. This is far from the last structure we’ll build in Berm Creek. Thanks for riding with me today, and I’ll see you next time.
It's a MIRACLE! Some 30 years after the original Alex Kidd in Miracle World landed on our Western shores, we finally have a worthy sequel to the game which kick started the gaming career of many an adolescent youth. Sure, we had Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, but that doesn't count. I mean, have you played it? Plus it's on the Mega Drive. For a true sequel, the good ol' Master System is the way forward, and of all the Sega Master System games, Alex Kidd in Miracle World is the one I remember fondest (probably because it was built into the Sega Master System II, and buying new games was bloomin' expensive back then)... Of course, this is a homebrew title, and has no official connections, but good lord, does the physical copy look official. It looks more official than some of my official Sega Master System boxes. In this week's episode, Hannah and Monique remove the old restoration fabric from the back of the embroidery. In doing so they're revealing the back of the embroidery. The embroidery dates from China’s Tang dynasty (AD 618–907). It depicts the Buddha preaching at Vulture Peak – in Buddhist tradition a favourite retreat of the Buddha and his disciples, located in what is now north-east India. It was discovered by archaeologist Sir Aurel Stein (1862–1943) who, while exploring the many caves at Dunhuang, discovered a walled up cave. Behind this wall was a library full of manuscripts paintings and textiles, including this astonishing embroidery. Watch the rest of the ‘Conserving Vulture Peak’ series here: https://goo.gl/FXoBK2 The tapestry is part of a collection donated to the British Museum by the archaeologist Sir Aurel Stein (1862–1943). You can find more information in the collection online https://goo.gl/7B4W81

In a rare informational video, I show you how to steal my Trabant if you happen to find it with the keys inside. Typically, I don't let this happen, but you'll be prepared to make off in my communist box if I do. I'm not worried. You won't exactly outrun the police in a Trabant. Of course, all of these instructions assume you already know how to drive a car with a manual. I'm not letting you near my Trabant if you don't already know that.

Way before the SNES game Star Fox (note the space), released in 1993, there were several other StarFox games. One of those was released in 1987 for the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC. Developed by Realtime Games and released by Reaktor (of Ariolasoft), this game also sees us fighting a war, in space, with solid vector shapes as our enemy. But its there where the similarity ends, and we find ourselves more in a Star Raiders/Elite style game, battling to bring peace to the Hyturian System. This game was actually called The Rubicon Alliance over in north America, so is this game then the reason that Star Fox was renamed Star Wing on the SNES over in Europe? Let's delve in and find out. *Please consider supporting the channel on Patreon*: https://www.patreon.com/nostalgianerd?ty=h ☟Sharing☟ If you wish to share this video in forums, social media, on your website, *please do so*! Today I'll be making some margarine from olive oil, however, it is going to be terrible and inedible. It is all about the journey though...right? To make it, I'll be hydrogenating olive oil. Margarine is normally partially hydrogenated, but I am going to fully hydrogenate things. So, it's going to actually be closer to "shortening". I was informed by some people that my way of making the margarine was terrible. I am probably going to try it again sometime, where I use a whisk (and froth it properly) and I'll do a partial hydrogenation. Techno toy tuning lightweight crankshaft pulley: https://technotoytuning.com/toyota/16v4age/4ag-crank-pulley-0 So the first parts for the bike conversion have arrived. The first arrival is the sexy looking lightweight crankshaft pulley from techno toy tuning. This thing looks really amazing and is unbelievable light. Weighs only 398 grams compared to the 1564 grams of the stock heavy weight crank pulley. It's also anodized so it won't rust and techno toy tuning claims that it's perfectly balanced up to 11.000 rpms. What's also cool about it is that you can quickly turn it into a crankshaft position sensor by buying the techno toy tuning trigger wheel, which will be super convenient for me later on when I decide to go with a standalone ignition controller. Another thing that should be mentioned is that the keyway boss on the techno toy tuning crankshaft pulley is a lot thicker and stronger than on the stock pulley, which is extra insurance against it breaking off on high revving heavily modified 4a-ge engines. The only drawback of this being that you have trim your plastic timing cover a bit to fit this thing. So that's pretty much it, super excited to finally have this thing in my hands, feels like a feather compared to the stock crankshaft pulley, which I will keep around for weight lifting purposes. Aliens TC, or Aliens Total Conversion was a Doom mod released in 1993, which blew my tiny adolescent mind. Here was the merging of two universes which I absolutely adored. Doom and Aliens. So it's mighty pleasing to find a new and updated version of the Aliens for Doom mod, brought to life with the help of the Aliens: The Ultimate Doom modification by Kontra Kommando and the work of Justin Fisher. So it's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... no wait.... LET'S ROCK, with this new updated mod for the Ultimate Doom, running under the beautiful GZDoom engine. Splendid. Get Early Videos & Behind the Scenes! 🚲 http://bermpeak.substack.com Welcome to Pisgah Forest, home to a huge array of remote and challenging mountain bike trails. To get anywhere here, you need to climb a few thousand feet. To get out alive your bike needs to hold up to roots, sharp rocks, and sustained braking. There’s no cell phone reception out here, and the trails are far too narrow for emergency vehicles. When your very life depends on your equipment, what value would you place on reliability? That fact that we’re at Walmart is pretty irrelevant. It could just as easily be Target, Amazon.com, or even Canadian Tire. They all offer the same thing—bikes built and assembled to the lowest spec possible. With names like trouble, wipeout, ambush, and carnage, these bikes deliver what they promise, but today we’re staying optimistic. Alex and I are taking our time and weighing our options. Even in a sea of super cheap bikes, we can choose the ones that suit our priorities best. We settled on a pair of Genesis V2100’s, which had front discs, threadless headsets, and half decent saddles. As we checked out, reality started to set in. We’d be relying on these bikes for over 5000 feet of elevation change. We’d need all the help we could get. Back at the house I packed everything from sockets to gorilla tape, to zip ties, to extra food, lest we get stranded on the far reaches of mount Mitchell. We set out with our new bikes in tow, and kept two main goals in mind; Make it down the trail in one piece, and finish it off with Mexican food. What started as a ride quickly devolved into a grueling hike. It wasn’t the gearing, or even the weight—we just tried and couldn’t. The tires had no traction, and the bikes flexed like crazy under any kind of torque. Once the grade evened out we had a much easier time, and started to clear some serious ground. We were enjoying nature, and It wasn’t long before we reached our first downhill. Although it was only 50 yards, it was telling. Alex and I settled in for a long ride up the old Mitchell toll road, knowing full well that the climb might be the easy part. We were climbing at a snail’s pace, painstakingly choosing our lines. Our cranks started creaking, and our hubs began to eat themselves, but we picked our way up the toll road without encountering any major mechanical failures. In fact, we were enjoying ourselves. For $149, Alex and I were taking part in an activity enjoyed by the likes of dentists and jewelers, with their pretty $6000 bikes. What do those bikes do that these can’t anyway? On my trail bike, this janky rock garden is a blast. On this bike, I couldn’t wait for it to be over. As you can see, Alex had been going much slower than me. He had the sense to. His bike had not one bit of damage to it, while I was nursing a blown up fork and no drivetrain whatsoever. It was clear by this comparison that speed is the major destructive force on these bikes. As I edit this video, my hands, arms, shoulders, and torso still hurt from this ride. On my trail bike, the brakes can be applied with one finger. On the Genesis, braking is a full body workout that leaves you in pain for days. We had made it to the end, sort of…. we still needed to get to the car. Luckily it was mostly downhill and I could hitch a ride on Alex’s backpack. After beating ourselves up for the better part of 5 hours, there was only one thing on our minds. Playing around on department store bikes might be fun and games, but I found that riding one on an actual mountain bike excursion is not fun, and most definitely not a game. Still I’m amazed that Alex’s bike survived. Although he was using a lot more restraint than I was, everything from the gears to the brakes were working at the bottom. To Walmart’s credit, there are warnings on these bikes that tell you not to take them on mountain bike trails. After our journey, I’d have reason to believe that on a flat dirt path, the Genesis V2100 would inconvenience you at the very most, not kill you. But just like sushi, tattoos, and cosmetic surgery, you’ll regret cheaping out on a bike that you really intend on exploring the mountains with. If you want to fall in love with mountain biking, try renting something first, or save up $400 for an entry level hardtail. In the meantime you can hike these trails for free. With one of these you may be hiking anyway. If you enjoyed this video, I have plenty of others on this topic. Let me know what you think below, and better yet give me some ideas of what to do with these next. Thanks for riding with me today, and I’ll see you next time. This is the story of how we travel for free and do what we love for a living. We generally don't talk much about money, but in this case we figured it was important to share how we survive off what seems like just a YouTube channel. Hope you enjoy :) If you want to support us, we have merch and we'd really appreciate if you gave it a look :) https://www.fanofafan.co/collections/yes-theory-merch All music from Epidemic Sound. The Omni from Milton Bradley is a product that straddles 70s and 80s technologies. At it’s core, it’s a game, an electronic quiz machine. However if you examine the way it works, it could be described as an interactive computer that reads program data from tapes.... 8-track tapes. In the video above I demonstrate what it does and how it does it…but first I have to get it working. -------------SUPPORT--------------- This channel can be supported through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/techmoan Patrons usually have early access to videos ---------------SUBSCRIBE------------------ http://www.youtube.com/user/Techmoan?sub_confirmation=1 ----------Outro Music----------- Over Time - Vibe Tracks https://youtu.be/VSSswVZSgJw ------Outro Sound Effect------ ThatSFXGuy - https://youtu.be/5M3-ZV5-QDM FPC (Frequently posted comments) Q) Hey is that Vincent Price reading the questions? A) Yes - on the Vincent Price's Movie Quiz Cartridge Game - it's Vincent Price speaking. Q) Will you post a sample of the audio? A) Yes - here it is http://bit.ly/2vEGMIs Q) How many questions are on a cart. A) It depends how long the questions take to ask and how they are laid out on the tape. E.G. Password+ will have a lot less than Words Words Words which is more quick fire. Without counting each individual one I can't say for sure...but you can get an idea from the fact that all the tapes I've dubbed have been 80 minutes - so contain 4 x 20 minute programmes. So the maximum length of a single quiz is 20 minutes plus the time it takes the players to answer the questions, minus the time it takes for the tape to play the answers and move between them. You could get perhaps 30-40 questions maximum on one program, so 120-160 per cartridge. ...and to all those people going on about wasted epoxy, you're assuming I didn't have anything else in the house that needed repairing at the same time...like a snapped controller mount on a mini arcade machine for example. ...and I see a few people complaining that Jeopardy doesn't work exactly like it does on TV...I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do about that. WIKIPEDIA A few people have found the new Wikipedia entry for the Omni https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/OMNI_Entertainment_System and are informing me I was wrong when I said it didn't have an entry. Well I was right at the time I made the video as that Wikipedia Omni page has been created directly as a result of people watching this video...it didn't exist before, but it does now. If you search for 'Techmoan' on Wikipedia you'll also find a few other articles that refer back to some of my videos.
