This isn't the Egghead we're familiar with from the 1989 Crash Powertape. This is Egg Head by Silverbird... ANOTHER Egg Head, and this one actually preceded the other. This game was originally released in Sweden under the name of Hamte Damte, but later released in the UK by Silverbird as Egg Head. I spent ages searching for this game, so I'm going to describe it incase anyone else is doing the same; It's a game like Egghead and Dizzy for the ZX Spectrum, in fact it's like a cross between Starquake and Egghead. There are teleporters, and lots of different areas with multi coloured walls, in all sorts of glorious patterns. Your objective is to collect chips to fix into an electronic heater, in order to warm yourself and hatch into the chick you long to be. Let's play. ☟Sharing☟ If you wish to share this video in forums, social media, on your website, *please do so*! I decided that it would be more interesting to give Ultron some AI by building it using physics in Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality using my VR Portal mechanism. I've build a Virtual Reality physics game that is triggered with inputs from the robot's senses and has outputs that make the robot move. I hope you enjoy part 38 of my Avengers Ultron robot. ① GENIUS No MacArthur grant yet. But while I’m still waiting by the phone for that call, maybe you might patronise me with your Patreon-age. On May 25 2017, we went back to where our story began – the Volksbühne theatre in Berlin – for a two-day event with DiEM25 members and activists from across Europe, as well as leading supporters of the movement from the political and cultural fields. Titled “Next Stop 2019?”, the main goal of the event was simple: to develop our political roadmap to take the establishment head on… at the ballot box! Technology Connections now has a Patreon! Link below The late 1970's and early 1980's were a frightening time to be a video enthusiast. Two formats are duking it out and trying to assert their dominance, and although Sony was first* to market with their Betamax machine, they were caught off guard by JVC's competing VHS system which, rather than focus on pedantic details like cassette design and technical perfection, strived to make a cheap, versatile format that worked. This is part one of the story of the VHS and Betamax format war. Part two will be following shortly. Part Two: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v019trxfcmg Was the quality of Beta really better? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oJs8-I9WtA If you like videos likes this, I humbly ask that you subscribe to Technology Connections. I'm doing my best to keep videos like this headed your way! You can support Technology Connections on Patreon! Other formats predated Beta, as discussed in the beginning of the video. In my previous video, I made soap from vegetable oil. It got me wondering, is it possible to go backwards? Can I make oil from soap? This is my first attempt to do this and I think I will try it again in the future. I wouldn't use the same procedure though, because I don't think this one was too good. The high heat let to a lot of glycerol breaking down and I think a lot of side reactions. Back with another Byte size and another question; Ever wondered why DOS used short file names? Otherwise known as the 8.3 filename format. Further to that, do you want to know how we moved from these short file names to long file names with Windows '95? If so, then this is the episode for you. I'll be discussing, Windows NT, and the NTFS file system. FAT, Root directories, FAT16, FAT12.. even FAT8! There's a face of Bill Gates & Marc McDonald of Microsoft, along with Tim Patterson of Seattle Computer Products, as we delve into BASIC-86 and even 86 DOS, before Microsoft bought the rights back and made it into the short file name operating system of glory it became. ☟Sharing☟ If you wish to share this video in forums, social media, on your website, *please do so*!

Compression testing tool: https://amzn.to/2MlNUkg Time for the first ever compression test of my freshly rebuilt engine! Fingers crossed. Doing a compression test is really easy and its something that every car guy should be to do himself. You can buy a compression tester for cheap and be able to do a compression test whenever and wherever you want. How to do a compression test? The first thing you need to do is warm up your engine to operating temperature. After that shut off your engine and remove your spark plugs. The disconnect your ignition coil and disconnect all of your injectors. After that you are ready to screw in your compression tester into your spark plug hole and crank the engine. We crank the engine 4-5 times until the compression on the gauge builds up. Don't forget to hold the throttle wide open while cranking the engine. Fortunately my engine turned out to be ok. Which means my rebuild was not a failure and I can keep bragging how I rebuilt and engine by myself. When doing a compression test what you are looking for is staying withing the factory specified specs, but also whats even more important is consistency between each individual cylinder. If one cylinder gives a reading that is significantly different than the others, than you are most likely looking at expensive repairs due to failed piston rings, or sticking valves. In the videos to come I will be inspecting my engine for rod-knock and testing my engine's oil pressure. FAQs Q) What's that thing at the beginning displaying the Eye of Sauron? A) This: https://youtu.be/kcG9O6S6cOU Q) Hey you "forgot" to mention (Insert thing I didn't forget here). A) Nope - this is just a video about the things in the video. Anything not in the video is not there because it wasn't part of this video. e.g. Digital8 and 8mm data backup tapes are not in the video on purpose. -------------SUPPORT--------------- This channel can be supported through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/techmoan Patrons usually have early access to videos ---------------SUBSCRIBE------------------ http://www.youtube.com/user/Techmoan?sub_confirmation=1 -------THANKS TO ------- Jerobeam Fenderson for the intro animation: http://oscilloscopemusic.com/ ----------Outro Music----------- Over Time - Vibe Tracks https://youtu.be/VSSswVZSgJw ------Outro Sound Effect------ ThatSFXGuy - https://youtu.be/5M3-ZV5-QDM

Games these days lack innovation and imagination, right? They've lost the creative spark of times gone by?... That is the view of some people, anyway. I, however, have a different perspective on the matter, which was triggered by a very specific article from a copy of Your Sinclair from May 1986. The article was from the very last page and echoes (from the past), the same sort of gripes many people say today... and this was a year which witnessed so many classic games across a variety of home computer systems, not to mention in the arcades! So in this video, we'll be looking at that article, pondering how the views from 1986 of some are eerily similar to those of today, asking whether modern games lack innovation, asking when games began to lack innovation and whether the vast number of games available pretty much renders all of these redundant. I wanted to build robot arms for Robot X. The robot arms needed to be articulated so they can fit with any character I build on the robot in the future. The Robot arms have 4 axes each - 3 axes at the shoulder and one axis at the elbow. I've used both DC motor and Servos for the Robot Arms, and I'll build the control system next time. I hope you enjoy part 9 of building Robot X's Robot Arms. ① GENIUS No MacArthur grant yet. But while I’m still waiting by the phone for that call, maybe you might patronise me with your Patreon-age. We know the interval of a tritone today as "diabolus in musica," or the devil in music, but was it really always associated with evil? Are all of those metal musicians right in thinking that this interval is the sound of evil incarnate? In this episode of riding with Seth, I take to the mountains with two dear friends. Here are links to everything referenced in the video: Redemption 17 Road Trip https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjr0xjHkkOZTPckVta13d0gJnTS30s5EV BKXC (Brian) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3DFdy_qc-cqgKCyQTHLGzA The Singletrack Sampler (Alex) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfUGBBnxQYezwJM9wi3F-Lg Moab & Bentonville https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5S7V5NhM8JTE4-AcoDzTbOE21M5rpmS- My Bikepacking trip with Alex https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5S7V5NhM8JQ17-FsABwJKWJmFFWU1uL7 For the last week, my friends Brian and Alexander have been in town as part of their road trip across the US. I couldn’t be happier to ride with them again, and today that’s exactly what we’ll be doing. First, Alex needs to make some repairs to his bike. His dropper post has had a mind of its own, and his suspension fork needs volume reducers. The trail we’re riding today is a classic Pisgah ride that you may have seen recently on Skills with Phil—Heartbreak ridge. The climb involves a lot of huffing, puffing, and watching Brian recede into the distance. For part of the year you can’t climb the Old Toll Road because there’s hunting going on, but on this perfect June morning we’re the only ones out here. You may remember Alexander and Brian from my Moab trip, and again from Bentonville. It was during that trip that Alex dislocated his shoulder. His road trip with Brian was over, but they vowed for redemption. After months of healing, Alex and Brian are back on the road to finish what they started. They’re calling the trip Redemption 17, and you can follow it in the link below. Anyway, Alex is eager to take the front and ride this trail for the first time. Last time I rode Heartbreak ridge I was warned about this patch of off camber roots and tight row of trees. This time, it’s me warning Alex about it. I hope they never repair this outsloped switchback. Just by looking at the fresh dirt, you can see how regularly riders wash out here, but video doesn’t do it justice. It’s in a low speed section without any hazardous rocks, so it just ends up being perfectly hilarious and challenging. For us, this ride ended with a train track crossing and a short ride back to the Old Fort Picnic area. There were some falls, some mechanicals, and some hostile wildlife encounters. When you ride into the woods with your friends, that’s what you’re signing up for. Where are you riding this weekend? Are you bringing friends along or do you like to ride solo? Leave a comment. Thanks for riding with us today and I’ll see you next time.
