Earlier this week, Christopher Ferguson the designer of the Tone Magnet got in touch and asked if I'd be interested in testing out a prototype of a new product that he is developing, called the Tone Magnet Sustainer. The Tone Magnet is physical block which attaches to the bridge of a guitar using strong magnets. Here's the website... http://www.tonemagnet.com/ If you want to support the project, a link to the KickStarter page can be found here. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/869348738/tone-magnet-sustainer-for-electric-guitars Disclaimer: I am not personally involved with the Tone Magnet project. All opinions are my own, and formed in good faith from a review of a prototype unit. used on my own guitar and equipment. Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/SixStringsAttachedTV
A few days ago I noticed my car had a weird vibration at speeds above 40 mph. I thought I had a bad wheel or maybe steering rack problems or something else entirely. But my mechanic took a look at my wheel s and said, "you're missing hub centric rings on your wheel hubs, that's why you have a vibration at these speeds". What are hub centric rings and why do you need them? Hub centric rings are used only when the center (hub) bore on your wheel is larger than your wheel hub. This never happens with stock rims/wheels, so they are only needed when you are using aftermarket wheels. Aftermarket wheel manufacturers make the hub bores on their wheel larger so they can fit as many different wheel hubs as possible. Since call car wheel hubs are not the same diameter it often happens that the wheel hub bore is larger than your wheel hub. This is when you need hub centric rings. Wheel bolts / lug nuts are not designed to take the weight of the wheel, that is the purpose of the wheel hub. The weight of the wheel rests on the wheel hub. The bolts (lug nuts and lugs) simply attach the wheel, they do not hold the weight of the wheel /car. Without a hub centric ring and with a gap between the wheel and wheel hub vibration occurs when wheel rotations is fast enough. Vibration occurs because the wheel is not resting on the wheel hub and it moves up and down as it rotates. Once rotation is fast enough this causes vibration. As soon as I installed my hub centric rings my vibration was gone. Driving too long without hub centric rings can actually damage your lug and bolt threads and cause them to loosen which can result in the wheel falling off while driving. So, take a look at your wheels and see if you have that gap, if you do its a good idea to get some wheel centric rings. Thanks for watching don't forget to subscribe. Hey guys, today we will be going over the second step in the quest to acetaminophen. In the previous video I extracted ASA from aspirin pills and now it is time to hydrolyze it to salicylic acid. This will be done by a simple acid-catalyzed ester hydrolysis. The next step in this process is the decarboxylation to phenol. On my second day in Arkansas, Brian and Alexander make a guest appearance! We ride Blowing Springs trail, which is fast, flowy, and scenic. After that we stumble onto a short downhill run that you need to earn your descent on. For lunch, we eat reasonable meals while Alexander gets a ridiculous hamburger—it probably makes it into the top 5 most ridiculous sandwiches I’ve ever seen, with two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bread. To finish off the day, we go to the Railyard, which is an amazing public bike park. I purposely did not bring my bike since I was guaranteed to get injured there, but that didn’t stop me from demoing a Specialized on some of the jumps. I would have been better off just committing to ride there in the first place. Along the way, I meet a guy named Tanner who does the most ridiculous whips—they’re so tweaked out that they could be mistaken for turndowns or lookbacks, but they’re definitely whips! There’s only one day left in my trip, and I’ve been left thoroughly impressed. Bentonville Arkansas is definitely committed to cycling in a huge way. As soon as I learn a new lick I look at simple ways of adapting it so that I can move it all over the guitar neck. I made this star-stabilized looping timelapse centered on Polaris. In this video, I explain the challenges of filming a 24-hour timelapse, and give my solutions to many of these problems for future timelapse-recorders. I made this star-stabilized looping timelapse centered on Polaris, but it looks pretty funny to have the ground spinning around the image. In this video, I give an explanation in terms of the motion of the Earth, and how you define your day. In this video: I dunno grapes Creative Commons: Attribution http://ccmixter.org/files/grapes/16626
It's an interesting perspective to realize that the Earth is spinning, and the sky that seems so active is actually still. This timelapse shows one full day with the camera pointed at Polaris, the North Star, and the frame has been stabilized so that the stars stand still and the earth moves around it. The State Board of Tourism for Arkansas invited me to attend IMBA world summit, which is an honor. This event is only held at world class mountain biking destinations, and IMBA doesn’t mess around. Arkansas seems quite promising. Day one, and I’m already riding! This was supposed to be the day I picked up my bike, got my camera gear in order, and learned my way around the town, but two locals (Tom and Ricky) threw a huge wrench into that when they recognized me at Phat Tire bike shop and took me to the nearest trails. The only trails we rode were part of Slaughter Pen, and were mostly flowy singletrack with jumps. Just watch the video and you’ll see how fun they are. I have not even scratched the surface of what Northwest Arkansas has to offer. Next time I’ll be aiming for a more natural, backwoods experience with scenic views, screaming descents, and lung busting climbs. Hang tight, as there will be much more to come! This is an excellent IIT problem from 1996. The problem tests your understanding of how well do you understand the concept of energies. Conceptually the problem is intermediate to tough. It involves two parts, which is not quite obvious. So hopefully this will help you gain some insights and learn some problem solving skills. Have a great session
This is a great problem testing your knowledge of Torques and rolling motion. This is not a very difficult problem, if you just remember the basics of what a pure roll is. Then it's all about building equations and crunching in the stuff. So have a great physics learning session

The Sega Genesis / Sega Mega Drive was the console which Sega first made waves (and green hills) with. Building on their Sega Master System, the Mega Drive heralded the dawn of Sega in the 16 bit home video game market. Going up against the NES, PC Engine (Turbografx 16 in the West) and of course, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, this is a story marked with highs and lows, with aggressive advertising (Genesis Does What Nintendon't) and with lots and lots of amazing games. This video charts the beginnings of the Mega Drive back in the early 80s, out of arcade hardware, to it's arrival in North America as the Sega Genesis, to it's dominance over Nintendo, Europe and even it's recent resurgence by TecToy in Brazil with their limited edition Mega Drive model. We also cover the Sega CD, the 32X and touch on a load of other accessories, rivals (Turografx 16, Super Nintendo) and rip offs, including the Scorpion; a Mega Drive clone released in the UK in 1993. There's also a load of Genesis games and Mega Drive games throughout, including the launch of Sonic the Hedgehog, all designed to hit you right in the nostalgia gland. This is a long'un, so hold on tight, and enjoy! ☟Sharing☟ If you wish to share this video in forums, social media, on your website, *please do so*! If you’ve been following this YouTube channel you’ve seen swing bikes, tall bikes, and even bikes that are hard to call bikes. Today we’ll look at what is easily the most belligerent bike I’ve ever seen—The SE Fat Ripper. With 26 by 3 and a half inch tires, it’s definitely fat bike, but clearly it’s also a BMX. The Fat Ripper was designed and tested by BMX legend Todd Lyons, who is brand manager for SE Bikes. In his video, you’ll see that the fat tires turn bumps in the pavement into straight up ramps. It is Todd who sent over this bike for testing, so today we’re going to do that Miami style. The first thing I noticed about the Fat Ripper was how dope it looked. From the old school BMX adornments to the SE Logo shaped cutouts in the rims, this thing turns heads. Another thing I noticed was that the massive tires chirp every time the bike lands as the mass of the wheels adjust to their ground speed. That’s the only thing you’ll hear when the Fat Ripper lands, as these parts are battle ready. The Fat Ripper weighed in at 36 pounds, and to be honest, I was surprised it wasn’t heavier. After all, this bike isn’t just for show, it can handle the abuse you would expect from a BMX. Because of the weight, you need to be heavy handed with the Fat Ripper if you want it to obey your commands. Staircases feel like nothing. Curbs are like kicker ramps. Ramps, are like—ramps. If you’ve jumped on a BMX, you’ll be able to jump the Fat Ripper. I’ve ridden a BMX on mountain bike trails before, and it’s a pretty rough ride on the chunkier sections. The Fat Ripper feels more like a fat bike, but with BMX geometry that beckons you to take to the air. The rigid frame and bouncy tires make this pig fly off everything. Like the other novelty bikes we’ve tested on this channel, I can already smell the comments about how it’s just for attention, or that it’s totally impractical. This vocal minority is kind of a sad bunch. The Fat Ripper is unapologetically flamboyant and impractical, and that’s what makes it so awesome. It’s the perfect bike for the beach, social rides, bar crawls, or even getting around town in an unruly manner. It weighs less than most cruisers, and is more comfortable than most fat bikes. The Fat Ripper is the ultimate smile delivery device, and I can’t stop riding it. I hope it put a smile on your face, because we’ll be seeing a lot more of this bike around here. Thanks for riding with me today, and I’ll see you next time. If you want to see the full assembly video of the Fat Ripper plus other behind the scenes content, follow the link in the description to support me on Patreon. Also, check out the video that Todd Lyons made on this bike to see what it can really do. Want to see the full assembly video? I Make a Tap Follower. This is a fun easy project especially for a minilathe beginner. Try it yourself or come up with an even better design. Its definitely a handy tool to have around the workshop. You just need some scrap steel and a nice stiff spring.

This problem is about a sphere inside a hollow sphere. As the sphere is released from horizontal position, we need to figure out the shift in the center of mass of the big hollow sphere. These problems are better tackled, using Brute force. No thinking, no need of intuition (much). Just use formulae and substitute and take care of signs and positions. Simple

This is an Easyish level problem. The reason I call this EasyISH is because it was a more than one option correct problem. So you need to check all the options. So this is a little bit time consuming problem. But conceptually it's quite standard, nothing out of the ordinary. Just building equations for translational and rotational equilibrium and doing the math. So hope you learn something :)
This is an easy problem from JEE advanced 2013. Well to be fair, the problem is easy from mathematical point of view. But it's a little bit conceptually challenging. Problems like these are usually fishy. If you can smell the fishyness, you can easily tackle these problems without much of a difficulty. But you can never take them for granted and guess an answer. Because this is JEE advanced you know. Alright hope you learn something.
Today, we will solve a Easy level problem from JEE mains 2014 based on 1D kinematics. This is the first episode of Random problem solving series. I will solving random problems from various chapters in physics from different question papers of JEE (mains and Advanced), NEET, AIMPT etc. So hope you learn something. (If you have any requests please let me know in the comments below) Learn well!

On the first day of the Fat Tire Festival at Alafia River State Park in Tampa, I take my Orange P7 on her maiden voyage. Oh, Orange is only sold in the UK? Not anymore: https://aventuron.com/collections/orange-mountain-bikes-hardcore-hardtails/products/orange-p7-rs We check out the trails here at Alafia for the first time—I can't believe this place is in Florida. After that, we take out some weird demo bikes, like a rigid carbon drop bar 29er from Salsa (of course). My GoPro Stabilizer: https://www.sethsbikehacks.com/product/z1-rider-m-camera-stabilizer/
