The Sega Master System is a console dear to my heart. Having acquired one in the early '90s as a Christmas gift, I then spent the next year rooting through game rentals and playing Alex Kidd in Miracle World. This was a machine that did well in the UK and Europe, but really deserved to fare better in the US and Japan, being technically superior to it's Nintendo NES counterpart. It's just a shame that Sega fell behind in the launch and marketing stakes for those areas. Still, you can't win them all. ☟Sharing☟ If you wish to share this video in forums, social media, on your website, *please do so*! Please leave a like if you want to see me play multiplayer of this game with some folks! Necropolis is a soulslike game with procedurally generated levels. It is permadeath, so once you die you start from the beginning. IMO the levels at the beginning are a little too slow. The game seems to maybe be a little dull when you're playing single player, but could be really fun multiplayer. I haven't done it yet. Is it worth $30? MY OPINION, no. It's easily worth $15-20 for a copy though. Expansion Buses that is. PC Expansion buses go back a long way, before they were even called a "BUS", when they were still known as an "Omnibus". From there various incarnations have been bestowed upon us with varying success and speeds. From 8 bit ISA, 16 BIT, EISA, Vesa, various other local buses, AGP and PCI, it's been a rollercoaster of Bus activity. In this video I look back at the Altair machine, along with IBM PC Compatibles, including Compaq's attempts to corner the "bus scene" with their 286 and 386 deskpro lines, and what IBM did in response with their PS/1 and PS/2 MCA architecture. Let's explore this crazy and curious world of expansion cards, bits, buses, clock speeds, data paths and failed attempts of unification. ☟Sharing☟ If you wish to share this video in forums, social media, on your website, *please do so*! In this video, we'll build the ALU for our 8-bit computer! Support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/beneater See https://eater.net/bbcpu8-alu for more. You can get all the components used in this video from any online electronic components distributor for a few dollars. Complete parts list (everything in this video): - 2x 74LS283 (4-bit binary full adder) - 2x 74LS86 (Quad XOR gate) - 1x 74LS245 (Octal bus transceiver) - 8x LED - 22 gauge wire - 5 volt power source (e.g., a USB phone charger) - Clock module and registers from previous videos

In this video we go over the design for the Arithmetic and Logic Unit for our 8-bit computer. Before watching it's helpful to understand: - How a binary adder works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvJc9CZcvBc - How negative numbers are represented in binary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qH4unVtJkE Support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/beneater See https://eater.net/bbcpu8-alu for more.

How can we represent negative numbers in binary? There are several ways. This video compares using a sign bit, ones complement, and twos complement. Twos complement is the most commonly technique because it's relatively easy to implement in hardware and it makes addition and subtraction with negative numbers easy. Today, we will have a 2-pound turkey burger for lunch. Remember for building muscle, the recommendation is to eat 1g protein per pound of bodyweight you weigh. So if you weigh 165 lbs (75kg), eat 165g protein per day. A 2 pound burger like the one shown here (made of 93/7) will provide roughly 160g protein. A beautiful film made by Curator Richard Blurton about the Vrindavani Vastra, a 17th-century silk textile richly woven with images and texts telling stories of the incarnations of the Hindu god Vishnu, and the life of Krishna – one of the most important incarnations of Vishnu. This nine-metre long textile is on display at the British Museum from 21 Jan to 15 Aug 2016 and the film shows how monks on the island of Majuli, in Upper Assam, present annual re-enactments of the stories which are depicted on the cloth. Many of these ancient narratives were transformed into dramas over 400 years ago by the great scholar and saint Shankaradeva (died 1568) and the Majuli monks make masks and wear elaborate make up and costumes, joining other male performers, young and old, to enact the dramas in front of the local people. Computer memory has come a long way, and the IBM PC Compatible has been at the forefront of memory technology since it's conception. Whether it's DIP memory, SIMMs, DIMMs, EDO RAM, Fast Page RAM, EDO Fast Burst RAM, SDRAM, DDR SDRAM, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4 of an other memory type. The PC has seen almost all of them, in an ever ongoing bid to increase speed. More RAM equals a faster system after all, and this was especially true in the 90s.. a period when everything was getting faster, operating systems were getting more bloated, and memory space was crucial for a smooth ride. We're now in an era with lightning fast RAM space which can hold many times the capacity of my first hard disk drive. So let's explore this wonderland of memory modules and find out how the world of PC RAM has evolved from the 1980s up until present day. ☟Share☟ Please consider sharing this video on forums, websites, social media, etc,. No, it's not the Chameleon, nor is it a piece of dentistry equipment. It's the 64 bit Atari Jaguar, released in 1993. The Atari Jaguar is another machine I saw on television, in magazines and in the news, and had deep cravings for. Look at this 64 bit behemoth of a machine. 64 BITS?! How was this even possible. The games looked impressive, the controller was packed to the brim, this was the future. Well, it was for a few months at least. But even after that time, I'll never forget the image of Alien vs. Predator etched on my mind. Being a huge fan of the films, this game seemed to capture exactly what I needed, it even looked better than Doom! It was reassuring to know that after a few decades and finally getting my hands on it, that it played as well as I had imagined. Anyway, let's take a quick look at the Atari Jaguar and it's brief stint in the limelight of 1993 and 1994. ☟Share☟ Please consider sharing this video on forums, websites, social media, etc,.
