The Amiga 1200 or A1200 was Commodore's thired generation Amiga computer, and was aimed at the home market. It's really considered the true successor to the the Amiga 500, with the 600 stuck somewhere in the middle, not really doing much other than being smaller than it's predecessor. The A1200 sported 2MB of RAM and the spectacular AGA chipset. This video just has a brief look at the machine along with my personal thoughts rambling over the top. ☟Share☟ Please consider sharing this video on forums, websites, social media, etc,. No. Bet you think that I'm all alone. No. Bet you think I'm missing you and wishing you would call my phone, Hell, no! I went wheels up on a runway And that ticket was a one-way I'm somewhere on a beach Sipping something strong, Got a new girl, she got it going on We drink all day, and party all night I'm way too gone to have you on my mind She got a body and she's naughty, And she got me like you ain't ever got me. I'm getting sun, getting some, and I ain't slept in a week Yeah, I'm somewhere on a beach. Heard you called my boys, Heard you called my folks They said you drove by my house real slow You can check any spot, roll down every road But, girl, I ain't even close I'm somewhere on a beach Sipping something strong, Got a new girl, she got it going on We drink all day, and party all night I'm way too gone to have you on my mind She got a body and she's naughty, And she got me like you ain't ever got me I'm getting sun, getting some, and I ain't slept in a week Yeah, I'm somewhere on a beach. I wish it could've worked out But I'm gettin' over you now, On a beach towel With my shades on My drink's up And the sun's out Huh! I'm somewhere on a beach! I'm somewhere on a beach Sipping something strong, Got a new girl, she got it going on We drink all day, and party all night I'm way too gone to have you on my mind She got a body and she's naughty, And she got me like you ain't never got me I'm getting sun, getting some, and I ain't slept in a week Yeah, I'm somewhere on a beach. Yeah, I'm somewhere on a beach.
This is the detail video for my Electroshock Catan project. The Catan board that shocks people taking slow turns! I give detail about the board construction, the control circuit, and the math behind the timing/calculation of "excessively long turns". I do not give information about the high voltage supply because you should NOT try this at home! This Settlers of Catan board shocks you when you take a slow turn! Gently encourage those you are playing with to play efficiently with the threat of electricity! This is a hilarious project that actually works as intended - I've played four games with it now and it very effectively speeds up gameplay. I made the Electroshock tile to add on to my existing custom Catan board that I lasercut and painted a couple ears ago. In the quest for pure video editing quality I bought a budget microphone to use for Youtube and narration purposes. I don't know if it's the best budget microphone, or if there are much better for the money (please let me know in the comments if you do).. It's a FiFine USB Core Condenser Mic, obtained from Amazon (link - http://amzn.to/29gFJF9), I thought I'd do a review with my amateur microphone recording knowledge, but to make it more interesting and indeed add a hint of nostalgia, I'm pitting it against my trusty Quickshot internet microphone from the 90s. God knows what I used it for.. probably recording sounds from Independence Day to add to my Windows themes. The Wire Recorder was expected to take over the world but disappeared almost overnight. In this video I take a look at this now largely forgotten technology from the past..and piece together its history. PLEASE CLICK 'SHOW MORE' TO READ ALL THE TEXT This channel can be supported through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/techmoan You can subscribe to this channel by clicking here - http://www.youtube.com/user/Techmoan?sub_confirmation=1 If you want to know why I didn't record via the line-in....here's the answer 'Recording via line in requires connecting the input device to the 'mic socket' via a Jones connector. I imported some Cinch Jones connectors from the US, and wired them up to RCA sockets but the sound recorded on the wire was clearer when recorded through the mic. I didn't include this section in the video because it was as dull as this explanation about it' ...and if you wanted to know why I didn't record the audio out of the headphone output....well the levels were very low and the sound had an audible whistle. So now you know, you can go back to having a lovely worry-free day. I know it's an outrageous notion to pose. A spill chilling, shudder inducing one. But if Amiga didn't exist, what could have happened? Imagine a past where Jack Tramiel didn't exit Commodore to go and setup Tramel Technology, nor did he purchase the remnants of Atari from Warner Communications, and therefore, nor did he put up funding for Amiga to continue with their work. Instead he perused a system he'd been contemplating for a while, but of course, we're no longer talking about the ATARI ST, oh no... No Commodore Amiga, No Atari ST, just a strange combination of the two, along with some other unexpected consequences. Let's stroll, together, down this mysterious path of technology and business that wasn't. ☟Share☟ Please consider sharing this video on forums, websites, social media, etc,. Super Mario Bros (it should really be called Super Frustration Bros), is a demo for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum based on Nintendo's favourite video game character... MARIO. This is a short game consisting of a few levels created for the "Your Game 2002" competition. It came 3rd, and it's clear to see why. It's an amazing effort on the Spectrum 128k hardware, featuring smooth scrolling, music, jumping, running, and all the usual gimmicks you expect from Super Mario Bros. This video is quite long, but that's mainly because I'm absolutely grade A turd at playing it, hence the title. I WILL NOT BE BEATEN! All in all, it's a very addictive little game of Super Mario Bros for the Spectrum, and I have to say, hats off to the developers. The collision detection is spot on the money, which I think helps with play-ability immensely, and was undoubtedly one of the reasons I became addicted so quickly. At the end of the video - 35:12 - I demonstrate the game in "Turbo" 7MHz mode, which really does improve it a great deal. Now, if only I'd have gone for that from the start.... ☟Share☟ Please consider sharing this video on forums, websites, social media, etc,. The advantages of doing this as opposed to buying ready made aftermarket polyurethane engine mounts are that this method is much cheaper (25 USD for 4 mounts vs. 160 USD for 2 mounts in the case of my car). The advantages of polyurethane engine (especially torque mounts) are improved responsiveness, no need to replace the mounts ever again, reduced wheel hop and preventing horsepower lost on moving the engine back and forth. The video shows a detailed procedure, from removing the old mount inserts, burning out the rubber, and pouring in new liquid polyurethane. The product I used is reoflex 60 from smooth-on. There are many others out there however, this is just what was available to me and in the right shore hardness. The additional benefit of DIY mounts is the fact that you can customize the shore hardness of the mounts to make it best suited to your particular application. I have selected 60A shore hardness which is a nice compromise between the 80A shore hardness stuff which is more suited to track day cars and the 40A shore hardness stock rubber. The important thing is to ensure the pins inside the mounts are fitted in the same position as stock and they must be positioned to stand flat for the liquid polyurethane to cure properly. Think in advance about where the polyurethane will be drying as this is where the engine mounts will be sitting for anywhere between 16-48 hours depending on the tempereture and liquid polyurethane product/brand. Training film for U.S. soldiers embarking on occupation duty in Japan. Written by Dr. Seuss and formed the basis for his latter 1947 Oscar-winning film, "Design For Death." This film was seen as too sympathetic to the Japanese and MacArthur worked to suppress it.
List of all tools in this video: https://www.sethsbikehacks.com/my-toolbox/ Today we're going to have a look at what's in my toolbox, and I'll be damned if I don't find someplace with a breeze to do it. Now that it’s officially summer, my backyard is totally inhospitable. Although big tools like repair stands, large allen key sets, truing stands, and presses always live right at home, 3/4 of my stuff fits in a portable toolbox. As a city dweller with limited space, it’s perfect. Here you’ll find the usual tools that everyone needs, like allen keys, screwdrivers, and adjustable wrenches just in case. I also keep a few spare multi tools on hand. For BMX repairs I always have two ratchets with a 15mm, 17mm, and extension ready to go. These sockets fill in the voids when I need other sizes. Here’s something that most of you should have, actual Torx bits! I know it’s tempting to jam an Allen key in, but these are much easier. Since I do bring this box with me on certain occasions, I keep a hand pump in here for emergencies. There’s always a floor pump in my car so I rarely need this. I also have some very useful tools in here which most riders are missing. For instance, a utility scissor, which is great for unpacking new bikes, installing grip tape, and cutting valve stems out of inner tubes—you know, for ghetto tubeless installations. Somehow I end up using the scissor a lot. This rag is also really nice to have, and works much better than a paper towel. As you’ve seen, I have this scale which is actually designed for weighing fish. Until I started this channel I didn’t have a need to weigh anything, but I use it all the time now to compare the weight of bikes and components. Best $13 I ever spent. Here’s a pipe cutter, which can be used on steel and aluminum tubes. It seems like the last thing we want to do these days is cut down our bars, but I have an obsessive compulsive tendency to cut fork and seat tubes. This is way smaller and easier than a hack saw. Some tools are only useful on older bikes, or Walmart bikes. I keep stuff like headset wrenches, spanners, and other such oddities on hand since I do end up using them more often than you’d think. Although most pedals these days can be fastened with allen keys, a pedal wrench is a must have for BMX, kids bikes, and older mountain bikes. Usually a standard wrench will not be narrow enough for pedals. I also like the fact that it can turn a 15mm bolt in a pinch. Here’s something I rarely use anymore, a set of tire levers. In my opinion, these Pedro’s levers are some of the best you can get. For stubborn road tires they’re a lifesaver, but all my mountain bikes can be serviced by hand now. Speaking of Pedro’s, this is the best crank puller I’ve ever owned. I bought this one when I got fed up with my cheap crank puller, and I’ve been quite satisfied with it. Another company I really like is Park Tool. Besides the fact that they make every bike tool in existence, they have a Tech Tuesday series starring Calvin Jones. [Show clip] For anyone who wants to learn about bike repair, this the most informative and entertaining way to do it. This suspension pump is a must have for anyone with air suspension. A floor or hand pump will rarely, if ever, fit the valve on a shock, nor will it be capable or accurate enough to be used effectively. These pumps usually go well above 200psi, in tiny increments. This cutter will help you avoid fraying your cables and mashing your housings. When I was a kid, I was quite guilty of using random tools for cutting brake and gear cables, but this makes life so much easier. While performing these repairs, a cable puller, or third hand, will let you adjust the tension with one hand, leaving you free to operate a wrench with the other. Although this is common in bike shops, I haven’t met many home mechanics who keep this around. When working at a shop as a teenager, I grew to really like this tool. If you ever need to replace or service a cassette, good luck getting it off without these. A whip helps you keep things in place, while this cassette tool makes turning the cap possible. I’ve seen hacks for this on the Internet, but these don’t cost enough to justify the risk in my opinion. I have other tools in here like spoke wrenches, a brush, chain tool, master link tool, and even a cup remover, but let’s stop for a second and pay homage to my absolute favorite tool in the world; The 3-way hex wrench. Anyone who owns one of these knows how ergonomic and awesome it is. Park Tool introduced this design before I was even born, and since then it has become a staple tool in every bike shop.

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Coin-op, otherwise known as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 in other parts of the world is an arcade adaption of the popular 2 or 4 player cabinet for the Amstrad CPC. Featuring colourful graphics, selectable characters, 2 players and all the things we associate with the TMNT arcade game, this is a treat to behold. Strange as it may seem, Lotus 1-2-3 was actually partly responsible for a big DOS shakeup. That shakeup involved expanding the memory we had available, and thereby allowing for a raft of further software which could take advantage of it. This video charts the story of Lotus 123, and how a revision called on an urgent need to exceed the DOS conventional memory limits and introduce a method of paging memory from an additional card, known as an Above Card, holding EMS, Expanded or LIM Memory. ☟Share☟ Please consider sharing this video on forums, websites, social media, etc,. This companion to the YouTube series contains supplemental material to help readers appreciate Faraday’s key insight that “there is no more open door by which you can enter into the study of science than by considering the physical phenomena of a candle.” Through a careful examination of a burning candle, Faraday’s lectures introduce readers to the concepts of mass, density, heat conduction, capillary action, and convection currents. They demonstrate the difference between chemical and physical processes, such as melting, vaporization, incandescence, and all types of combustion. And the lectures reveal the properties of hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, including their relative masses and the makeup of the atmosphere. The lectures wrap up with a grand, and startling, analogy: by understanding the chemical behavior of a candle the reader can grasp the basics of respiration. To help readers understand Faraday’s key points this book has an “Essential Background” section that explains in modern terms how a candle works, introductory guides for each lecture written in contemporary language, and seven student activities with teaching guides. Details on all versions are at http://www.engineerguy.com/faraday Michael Faraday’s The Chemical History of a Candle with Guides to the Lectures, Teaching Guides & Student Activities Bill Hammack & Don DeCoste 190 pages | 5 x 8 | 14 illustrations Hardcover (Casebound) | ISBN 978-0-9838661-8-0 | $24.95 Paper| ISBN 978-1-945441-00-4| $11.99 eBook | ISBN 978-0-9839661-9-7 | $3.99 Audience: 01 — General Trade Subjects SCI013000 SCIENCE / Chemistry / General SCI028000 SCIENCE / Experiments & Projects SCI000000 SCIENCE / General EDU029030 EDUCATION / Teaching Methods & Materials / Science & Technology This book introduces modern readers to Michael Faraday’s great nineteenth-century lectures on The Chemical History of a Candle. Author Bios Bill Hammack is a Professor of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Illinois—Urbana, where he focuses on educating the public about engineering and science.
