Grab a Battlezone 98 Redux Steam Key on G2A for much less than Steam... https://www.g2a.com/r/98redux - Join me for some Battlezone 98 Redux Gameplay, Steam Multiplayer style.... Not to be confused with the original 1980 Battlezone by Atari, Battlezone is a classic re-imagining of the '80s original, released in 1998 as an FPS RTS game by Activision. It's an absolutely amazing multiplayer game which has just been remastered and relaunched as Battlezone 98 Redux. Including all new textures and high resolution modes, this is a must have for anyone who remembers, or even doesn't remember, this brilliant game. The premise in this alternative history is that the Space Race was a cover up for the Russians (Soviets) and Americans to create military bases and units on the moon (and in Space in general). In the single player campaign you find artefacts on each planet which leads you to the next, and the battle continues. ☟Subcribe☟ https://www.youtube.com/user/nostalgianerdvideos?sub_confirmation=1 ✊Support Me! ✊ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/nostalgianerd?ty=h Visit my eBay Shop: http://ebay.to/1QQpYyy Buy From Amazon (affiliate): http://amzn.to/1OzCQWR ★Nerd Social★ Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/nostalnerd Face: http://www.facebook.com/nostalnerd Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/nostalgianerd Web: http://www.nostalgianerd.com ★Equipment★ Corel Video Studio Ultimate X7 Blue Snowball Microphone ♜Resources♜ Battlezone 98 Redux is available at https://www.g2a.com/r/98redux or directly from Steam at http://store.steampowered.com/app/301650/

St John Simpson, Curator for Ancient Arabia and Ancient Iran, talks about the impact that the destruction of Yemeni cultural heritage will have on humanity. He also looks at what international museums can do to assist authorities in limiting the looting and trafficking of portable antiquities in a post-conflict Yemen. UNESCO is working with the British Museum and nine other museums across the world as part of an international campaign to raise awareness of the destruction of Yemeni cultural heritage. From 24 to 30 April 2016 'Yemeni Heritage Week – Museums United for Yemen' will shine a spotlight on the current destruction and encourage people to explore and understand the region's cultural heritage. Yemeni Heritage Week – Museums United for Yemen is organised by the UNESCO Office in Doha under UNESCO’s global campaign of #Unite4Heritage. No country in Europe has been hit harder by the 2008 global economic crisis and subsequent downturn than Greece. After years of polarising austerity measures and fears of a Greek exit from the Eurozone, the country is slowly emerging from an extended period of economic instability. The Greek recovery, however, is far from over. Yanis Varoufakis served as Greek finance minister from January through July 2015 and opposed the EU’s third and final bailout agreement for Greece. He will discuss how the Greek economy is faring today and how the Eurozone crisis affected the rest of the global economy. What lessons have been learned about the risks and benefits of a shared economic system? How can we protect those most vulnerable to economic shocks from another economic crisis? Links to everything in the Video and more http://www.sethsbikehacks.com/camera-gear/ I would estimate that more than half of all mountain bikers own some sort of action camera, with which they hope to share their experiences with. These cameras can be used not only for first person footage, but also for filming others. Since action cameras are small, durable, and have wide angle lenses, they’re ideal for capturing anything in your immediate vicinity. It’s widely known that mounting an action camera on your helmet will give you the most stable footage. Your head acts as a stabilizer and makes the footage more watchable. With the right angle, you can get part of your front wheel and handlebars in the picture as a frame of reference. Action cameras like GoPro can feel super heavy on your head though, so I recommend using one of these frames paired with a lens protector. While the helmet is probably the easiest and most stable mounting spot, the chest is the most immersive. By putting the viewer behind the handlebars, the video becomes a little more captivating. The problem with chest mounts though is that they’re ridiculously uncomfortable and make you sweat profusely. Mess up the angle, and you'll get a nice shot of your top tube for the duration of your ride. So a chest mount is something I would only use temporarily, but not all day long. Mounting an action camera to your bike is the most comfortable option, and works great as a secondary angle. Although mounting a forward facing camera to your handlebars looks terrible, I find that it actually works great facing backwards. I wouldn’t want to watch a whole video like this, but it’s an interesting angle for short clips. Get one of these seat rail adapters, and you can get a rear view or capture your friends. The video is surprisingly stable and watchable, especially on a full suspension bike, so lately I’ve been getting a second angle this way with my Hero 3 Silver. These are angles that you can get with any action camera, but if you want to take things a step further you can add a stabilizer. These will usually be referred to as wearable gimbals. Typically wearable gimbals come in single, double, and triple axis variations, with each axis improving the video and increasing the cost. Here’s my Feiyu WG-Lite, which is a single axis gimbal that costs well below $100. It’s very well built, and actually has an awesome carrying case which I use for all my other stuff. The problem is that a single axis gimbal doesn’t make that big of a difference when worn on the rider. On the helmet it provides a slight improvement, but on the chest I don’t think it improves anything at all. On the seat rails, the results are noticeably better, so I’ll be using this method in future videos. If you’re okay with dropping about $300, you can get a triple axis wearable gimbal. You’ll need to be okay with also putting this investment at risk out on the trails. I can tell you from experience though that this is a risk with fruitful rewards. Just look at how the footage looks mounted to your helmet. Of course, it’s insanely uncomfortable to ride like this for long periods of time. Mounting the gimbal on your chest is a little more tolerable, and gives an awesome point of view. I think one of the greatest benefits of a triple axis gimbal is the footage you can get of other riders. Following someone with helmet-mounted gimbal can make your footage look like it was shot with a drone. You can also just hold it and use it like a normal camera. My Z1 Rider-M comes with a really useful handle that I use for almost every video. With a little practice you can get epic shots, even on foot. Combined with a high end GoPro, you’ll be spending around $700, but the results speak for themselves. I also want to show you one other option, just because it’s so cool. Domingo has a handheld gimbal camera made by DJI called the OSMO. It uses a built in 4K camera, and a really solid smartphone mount. Here’s Domingo running behind me with his. At a hair over $500, this is a great option for a compact camera to film action sports with. The only downsides are poor battery life and terrible sound quality. Here’s what it sounds like with the built in mic. Of course, you can get extra batteries, and connect an external mic to solve these issues, and even after buying those extras you just can’t get footage like this for any cheaper. Skidmarks for the Amiga was a revolutionary game, both in terms of it's isometric view point and the fact it was written in Blitz BASIC. It offered unique graphics with seemingly 3D vehicles on a carefully textured track (which just happened to retain the skidmarks you made on it, even after exiting the course). The game was playable single player, with a split screen in 2 player and networkable for 4 player gaming. It's sequel, Super Skidmarks would go on to improve on most areas of this initial landmark title, released in 1993 by Acid Software. ☟Subcribe☟ https://www.youtube.com/user/nostalgianerdvideos?sub_confirmation=1 ✊Support Me! ✊ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/nostalgianerd?ty=h Visit my eBay Shop: http://ebay.to/1QQpYyy Buy From Amazon (affiliate): http://amzn.to/1OzCQWR ★Nerd Social★ Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/nostalnerd Face: http://www.facebook.com/nostalnerd Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/nostalgianerd Web: http://www.nostalgianerd.com ★Equipment★ Lumix G6 with Vario 14-42mm Lens Corel Video Studio Ultimate X7 Corel Paint Shop Pro X6 Blue Snowball Microphone ♜Resources♜ Intro music is Dub Hub from the Youtube audio library. About 90% of my audience is old enough to drive, and the rest of you will be driving soon enough. Even though I’d like less cars on the road, they’re a big part of living in America—besides, many of us use our cars to get to the mountain bike trails. If you just started cycling, chances are you got caught off guard the first time you needed to transport your bike somewhere. In an SUV or hatchback you can usually fit a bike easy enough, but if you can’t fold the seats down you’re stuck taking at least one wheel off. I need to take off both wheels to fit my hardtail in the back of my Mazda, that is if I leave the seats up. If you’re doing this, watch out for the dreaded pedal to the rear window, which could ruin your week big time. It’s no wonder that the vast majority of cyclists choose to transport their bikes with a rack. I moved down to Florida in a mini Cooper with a Saris Bones rack on it. This is one of the most common trunk racks, and it’s arguably the best one on the market, but it’s still a trunk rack. At the end of the day the only benefits of a trunk rack are cost and portability. They block the whole trunk, they’re a pain to take on and off, they mess with your cables, and they don’t work on a good number of bikes. If you don’t mind spending a little money, you can get something way more convenient and secure. Roof racks can fit on pretty much any car, and hitch racks require a receiver, which can be installed on pretty much any car. I prefer upright hitch racks though because they keep the bike close to the ground and don’t make contact with any part of the car’s body. For mountain bikers especially, I think they’re a great option. The day I picked up my Mazda, I had a 2 inch receiver installed for about $175. I don’t plan on towing anything, so it's fine for bike racks. There are tons of great hitch racks out there, but I’ll show you my Saris Superclamp, which I really like, and never remove from my car, ever. This goes against best practices, but I like being able to load my bike up on a moment’s notice. The Superclamp holds your bike in place using only the wheels, so at no point does it make contact with the frame or cables. It even has these cable locks, which aren’t quite sufficient for overnight parking, but do secure the bike during pitstops. The lock also serves other functions. In well under 30 seconds, I can load up two bikes and drive off. No scratches on my car, no setup time, and no pesky straps. I still haven’t tried putting the swing bike on it, but as far as I know it can carry anything but a recumbent. As someone who’s owned roof racks, trunk racks, and hitch racks, I can tell you my personal favorite is the hitch rack, and in the mountain biking community I’m not alone. Sure, roof racks are nice, and they’re especially great for leased cars since they don’t require a hitch, but you usually can’t take them through a carwash. Hitch racks are bolted directly to your car’s chassis, and are the most secure by any measurement. They don't pose a risk to your paint, and they're by far the easiest to use. As long as you don’t get rear ended, your bike will be safe and sound. So whether you're throwing your bike in the trunk, using a hitch rack, or sticking those crazy suction cup things on your window, it's fair to say that you're putting your car to good use. Thanks for riding with me today, and I’ll see you next time. The Superclamp: http://www.saris.com/product/superclamp-2 Support your local bike shop: http://www.saris.com/dealer-locator

As more and more EV's make it onto our roadways, people start to freak out about how we're going to charge all these things. The thing is, they shouldn't. EV's are so much more efficient than their gasoline powered counterparts that they don't consume all that much electricity, in fact the size of the grid only needs to increase about 4.5% to accommodate an entirely electric commuter fleet. But people still worry about charging them. In this video, I explain why this shouldn't worry you in the slightest. With my Chevy Volt, I never charge it with anything other than a standard household outlet, and this provides more than enough electricity to get me through my day. Granted, the Volt only has a 40 mile range, and I've got the gas engine to keep me going should I need it, but in the summer time I routinely make it home from work with 10 miles of range or more left. And it only takes 7 hours on my portable charger to get it full for the next day. A household outlet can provide enough electricity to add 80 miles of range to an EV every day, and if you take a look at how you actually drive, you'll discover that for the vast majority of the time, that's plenty. 1* 120V 16 A charging station: http://www.clippercreek.com/store/product/charging-station-acs-20-level-1-permanent-install/ 2* Cost of parking garages: http://www.carlwalker.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/April-Newsletter-2014.pdf Average commercial electricity cost: https://www.eia.gov/electricity/monthly/epm_table_grapher.cfm?t=epmt_5_3 Just a note: Level 3 charging, such as the Tesla Superchargers, is seen as a necessity by people looking into electric cars. There are many people that feel that having charging stations like these spread across the country is the only thing that will make electric cars feasible. Well, they certainly have their use, as the Superchargers allow Tesla owners to take roadtrips in their EVs. And it is true that DC fast charging is the only way to make an electric road trip possible. But road trips represent a tiny fraction of the miles driven by your typical car. People need access to Supercharger-like infrastructure *only* for road trips, as typical daily driving does not require fast charging. In fact, with a 200 mile EV, the battery can be completely recharged in 10 hours with 30 amp level 2 charging, the kind a dryer outlet can provide. People sleep every night, and when you're asleep your car will be charging for the next day of driving. It really is easier than you think.

Tomy and their Tomytronics brand introduced the world to a lot of small, electronic gaming devices in the 80s, including the Tomytronics 3D series in 1982. This Tomytronics Tennis game is from 1980 and uses a similar LCD style screen, with small images of tennis players and a moving ball. The game allows 1 player operation against the computer, or 2 player gaming using the opposite set of controls. There are 1 Pro modes, and a practice mode. In this video I look at the aesthetics, insert some C batteries, hit it a few times in an attempt to fix it, take it apart, then play a few rounds of tennis on Pro 1, Pro 2 and two player mode - albeit, by my lonesome.. "The 64" is an indiegogo campaign setup by Retro Games Ltd to launch a brand new system, in both portable and desktop form based around the Commodore 64. Aesthetically it has very similar styling, with a trimmed down case. The 64SX is much lighter than the Commdore 64SX original machine and compliments the desktop as a handheld variant. It's claimed the systems will incorporate multiple SID chips and have cartridge functionality, as well as SD and USB connectivity for game images. Looks like it could be pretty interesting if it comes to fruition and doesn't end up like the Coleco Chameleon! I raced some of my much stronger friends to see how I would fair. I vomited from exhaustion. To be fair I was carrying all my camera gear on my back and could have used some water. We came here to Virginia Key today to answer a question that we already know the answer to. When you’re trying to go fast, is power, or technical ability more important? Well, as you could guess speed and endurance are more important on smooth straight trails, and technical ability reigns supreme on rougher sections. This is widely known, but we wanted to try for ourselves anyway. Kevin’s a roady with some mountain biking experience, and Domingo rides everything from XC to Road, to Cyclocross. I’m strictly a technical rider, with almost no endurance whatsoever. Now that I have this YouTube, channel, I film videos every time I ride. Between setting up cameras, repeating shots, and lugging equipment around, I rarely ride for more than a few minutes at a time. The endurance I had a few years ago is totally gone, and I kinda want it back. The problem is that you can’t buy endurance, only rent it. We started off on this mile long XC trail with almost no features. I passed Kevin and Domingo here, but I was vomiting while they weren’t even breaking a sweat. In fact, they were having a casual conversation. Once I stopped vomiting we went to this very short section called Highway to Hell. It has a lot of turns, and a few features that would stop a roady dead in their tracks. Now keep in mind, we’re not even clipped in and Kevin is borrowing one of my very small bikes. So take this experiment for what it’s worth. Domingo went first. He’s never ridden this section before, so it was no surprise that his time improved as he repeated his run, ending with a respectable 1:30 seconds. Kevin ended up being a beast, eventually besting Domingo’s time by 8 seconds, at a 1:22. Although Kevin doesn’t mountain bike often, he has some BMX experience, and rides brazenly. Being that he can sprint close to 40mph on a Road Bike, he’s got no shortage of power. I hope I don’t vomit again trying to beat his time. Here goes. I blew through the turns and made quick work of all the trail features, but it took everything I had. It was worth the effort though, as I beat Kevin’s Time on my first shot with 1:20. On my hardtail, I got down to 1:17. So it seems, a skilled rider can outclass someone much stronger when the terrain gets rough, but what will happen on a longer trail with more varied terrain? We headed over to Warpigs to find out. For someone coming straight from road biking, Warpigs would be pretty scary, but for an experienced trail rider it’s a blast—just some jumps, staircases, and steep features, all packed into a really fun switchback. Domingo got a respectable 1:56, ringing the bell with energy to spare. I started off strong, but the longer flat sections really took their toll, as I basically limped through them to recover my energy. In the end I bested Domingo’s time by a mere 4 seconds, at 1:52. In the end, it was Kevin’s brazen speed and endurance that prevailed, with 1:50. It’s fair to assume that he crushed my times in the flat areas that I limped through. Even though this course was only about 30 seconds longer than Highway to Hell, it was enough to squeeze me for all my energy, so a longer course would likely tip the scale even more in Kevin and Domingo’s favor. So this experiment was fun, and it got me motivated to improve my endurance. As Kevin said, even one endurance ride per week could result in noticeable gains. So, let’s check back with the same experiment later this year. I’d like to try a slightly longer trail with plenty of variation, and see how I fair against these guys, clipped in and geared up properly. If today was any indicator, I might have my work cut out for me. For now, enough with this XC stuff. Frenchie gave us the green light to test out this new berm on a closed segment of trail. Stuff like this is a clear reminder that the most important part of mountain biking is enjoying yourself. Want to see the whole ride where I vomited?
