The patch can be found here: http://community.axoloti.com/t/ax-101-sequencer/786 A simple standalone midi sequencer inspired by the SH-101. The volume slider on the midi keyboard (hosted via USB by the Axoloti) puts the sequencer in record or playback mode. In record mode it memorizes notes input by the keyboard. Once put back into playback mode it will cycle through the notes, triggered by incoming midi notes; In this case a silent drum track on the Korg ER-1. The outgoing midi notes are sent to the Mutable Instruments Shruthi. I have a newer version of the sequencer in the pipeline with 8 memories. Eventually i'll make a version that can easily be combined with onboard synths made on the Axoloti.

*Update* I have links to the new apps and everything below. I've been happily using this gimbal for every shoot I do now. http://www.sethsbikehacks.com/product/z1-rider-m-camera-stabilizer/ Some of you have been asking about how I'm getting such smooth videography all of the sudden. The answer is, I'm using a gimbal. This battery powered device uses a computer chip and a gyroscope to keep itself level with the horizon. It holds your GoPro and gives you really steady video, even if you’re running or jumping around with it. The super sweet shots we got in the commuter video were filmed on Domingo’s camera, which has a gimbal built in. In today’s video, we’ll take a look at my new gimbal, which was sent to me by Zhiyun Tech to use and review. I assume they didn’t send this to me out of the goodness of their hearts, they want a review out of it. So here goes, starting with the downsides. 1. It advertises having an app, but then the instructions tell you to download it from their website. Correct me if I’m wrong, but that would require having a jailbroken iPhone or a rooted android. Most of us are accustomed to getting apps from the app store or Google play store, and there’s no app to be found in either one. Supposedly all of the functions the app offers can be achieved other ways, so I guess I can live without it. 2. Also, the batteries get charged in an external device, so you need to mess with this cover and pop each one out to recharge them. It would be nicer to have a battery pack of some kind, instead of fumbling with these on the mountain bike trails. 3. Lastly, the only way to attach your go pro to this gimbal is without the protective housing. This normally wouldn’t be a big deal, but it’s called the “rider” m which I assume implies you can mount it to a helmet or a bike. In fact, it comes with this adapter that fits go pro brackets. Given the things I do, it might be a better idea to use it handheld. So with those points out of the way, let’s talk about what I like about the Rider M. 1. This freaking thing works great. Here’s me running behind emily at Oleta river state park. She looks like a badass. I’ve noticed that some other gimbals have a tendency to fritz out if you hold or twist them the wrong way, but this thing seems to stay level no matter what I do to it. 2. The unit itself is also really well constructed. It’s completely made of metal, and has a high quality feel to it. 3. It’s simple. You just turn it on and then use this other button to change modes. I haven’t tried calibrating it or using any of the more advanced functions, but honestly I haven’t needed to. 4. Also unlike some other gimbals, the motor is completely silent, so I can great audio without clicking and buzzing noises coming through on the video. This is huge since I like to pick up the sounds from the bike and nature whenever possible. 5. The batteries also last a real long time, and it came with extras just in case. So although they’re slightly annoying to change, I don’t need change them very often, in fact they outlast my GoPro. 6. I also like the fact that it comes with a really well made telescoping handle. I usually mount my phone to it and use the GoPro app to see what’s going on, although I guess their app is supposed to do that too. So taking everything into consideration, I really do love the Rider M, and I promise I’m not just saying that because it was sent to me for free. I had been looking into getting a gimbal, and the rider M is everything I had hoped for. It’s too early to say how to stands up to daily use, but it’s well constructed and hasn’t given me any trouble yet. So if you’re looking for a well built, quiet, reliable gimbal, then you may want to see what Zhiyun Tech has to offer. It was really cool of them to send this to me, and after only a few shoots it’s become an essential piece of camera equipment for me. Visit their site: http://www.zhiyun-tech.com/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=109&id=140 This is it: http://amzn.to/1PdJYJc

Next video https://youtu.be/NZ1qeVe8-yM In the last BMX tutorial, we learned how to 180, and get going forwards again. Today, we’ll learn how to do a full 360. A 360 can be done on a ramp, off of something, or flat. Wherever you decide to learn, the best way to start is with 360 tail taps. To do this, start like you’re doing a 180, but jump higher and stay in position, finishing the spin on your rear wheel. There’s no magic trick to this, except for incrementally spinning more than a 180. You’re gonna beat up your rear wheel real good practicing these, but it’ll get you 90% of the way to doing 360’s. Make sure you don’t have any loose spokes, and that your wheel is on real good. From here, you can actually learn to flat 3…or do a 360 right off the ground. Just make like you’re doing a tail tap but suck your rear wheel up right at the end. This takes a lot of force, so practice these when you’re fresh and full of energy. Still, it’s much easier to 360 when you have a jump or a drop to give you more airtime. I think it’s best to learn on a fly out, or a ramp with a flat top like a box jump or a quarter pipe. Occasionally you can find street spots similar to a flyout, like this ditch I rode on my mountain bike. Just get comfortable with the launch and then try throwing your body into a 360 like you would on a tail tap. Since fly outs kill your speed and send you straight upwards, you don’t need to land perfectly straight while learning. Once you learn 360’s, you can refine your technique. When landing down a ramp, you can learn to dip your front end to match the transition. Here’s another fun one; try approaching a quarter pipe or steep bank at a comfortable speed, and push yourself away from the transition while doing a 360. This is a 360 to fakie. If you’re still new to skate ramps, just hang on until the next tutorial. We’ll be learning some basic skatepark skills for new BMXers. Thanks for riding with me today, and I’ll see you next time.

This is my fleet, the squad, whatever you want to call it. These are all the bikes that live at my house, and actually they all fit in this impossibly small closet. So if you live in a city like I do, and have a tiny place, you can still have a shitload of bikes with a little creativity. It’s a huge pain to get them in and out, but it’s worth it. So let’s start with the road bike which you haven’t seen much of yet. It’s a 2003 Litespeed Antares, which is aluminum with a carbon chainstay and fork. Litespeed is known for titanium, so an aluminum litespeed is not so common. This bike has a Campagnolo Centaur groupset, which I guess you could compare to Shimano 105 parts. People who love Campi say that it’s better, and that “while shimano is wearing out, campi is wearing in”. I don’t know if this 100% true, but the drivetrain on this bike is remarkably smooth. I used to be way more into road biking, but it’s too structured for me. Maybe I’ll find some fun things to do on this bike and make a video in 2016. The mountain bike is my Trek 4 series, which has all sorts of upgrades. I get comments all the time asking me why I don’t have a better mountain bike. Usually it’s not in an insulting way, it’s more like, they genuinely feel sorry for me, and that I deserve a better bike. I don’t want a new bike. I’m 100% satisfied with this bike right now. It runs smooth, it’s lightweight, and most importantly it survives the things I do with it. I even like the way it looks. I have a dropper seat post which lets you adjust your saddle height on the fly. So I can be at full ride height, hauling ass and then decide to drop it down and get real aggressive. It’s a game changer. A lot of people also ask me if I clip in, and on this bike I generally do not. In the rare event that I enter a local race, I do switch to SPD pedals and clip in because it’s better for going fast and maintaining a good spin. The rest of the time, I just keep it gangster and run these platform pedals. Speaking of riding like a straight G, this Inspired Fourplay is awesome for that. This is considered a street trials bike, so it’s designed for mountain bike trials with a little bit of BMX thrown into the mix. You know…going off jumps, doing wallrides, more fluid riding than traditional mountain bike trials. Make no mistake though, this is NOT a bmx, it does not feel anything like a dirt jump bike, and it’s pretty far removed from a mountain bike. The trials geometry really lends itself to balancing, hopping, and getting up on the rear wheel. It feels like nothing else. The thing that sucks about this bike is that you can’t really ride it anywhere, the gearing is just too low. So, I don’t ride my inspired fourplay as much as I’d like. This is my newest bike, the SE Everyday, which is a BMX I got for around $300. That puts it at the very entry level of BMX bikes. It’s much better than what you’d find at a department store or walmart, but it’s still not considered high end by any means. It’s been holding up great, but I haven’t had any nasty falls on it yet, so time will tell how it holds up. Like any decent BMX bike it has a pretty burly crankset, a steel frame, and a compact drivetrain. The saddle is built into the seatpost, which is common on the cheaper bikes. Like a trials bike, the saddle isn’t designed for sitting, it’s more for stabilizing yourself and keeping the top tube from smashing your taint. More to come on this bike in the new BMX series I’m working on. This here is my fiancé’s bike. It’s an SE Lager, which is a decent single speed bike, great for cruising around town. When you get into single speed bikes, they’re basically unisex. Women’s bikes used to have these lower top tubes which made them easier to ride while wearing a dress, and I guess it made them easier to mount and dismount. This is just not relevant in 2015, in fact most women would be insulted by the prospect of having a special frame that was easier to mount. So, this bike has a ladies saddle and pink grips. Girly enough. Last but not lease we have my Panasonic road bike, which was made in 1989. This bike has by far the smoothest ride of anything I own, and that’s mostly because it’s heavy and made of steel. Steel is known for having great dampening qualities. It flexes a little bit, in a good way. I like this bike for those reasons, and I generally use it for transportation, bar hopping, or going to the beach. The bike turns a lot of heads, and I get a lot of comments on it, think of it like a classic car that you take out on the weekends. So, that’s the squad as of the very end of 2015. I’m always switching things up, so I’ll do another fleet bike check every now and again to keep things up to date. Now I just need to get all these freaking bikes back into my closet here. I’ll give you an abbreviated version of what that entails.

Once you've learnt the 5 Pentatonic Positions, a useful next step is to start to learn how these positions relate to each other when playing over different chords. In this video I talk about the relationship of the Dominant and Subdominant chords to the root, and explore these relationships by walking through the circle of fifths in one position on the neck. Outtakes: https://youtu.be/xL2Al00GB8w Commuting to and from work is an American pastime. For some it's a long drive through traffic, or a series of walks and subway stops, but a very lucky few will ride to work this morning on a mountain bike. Mountain bikes are designed to travel through the rugged terrain found on mountain bike trails, so by definition they are quite durable. Potholes, curbs, and alternate routes are no problem. Strangely enough, the mountain bike might be the ultimate urban commuter vehicle. They're ready for everything. When you commute on a mountain bike there's no such thing as traffic. Come to think of it you can circumvent roads altogether. Roads are no fun on a mountain bike anyway. You should also consider fuel consumption. While cars run on gas, diesel, or electricity, bikes generally run on tacos. We all know how much those cost. Instead of wearing out like a car engine, your body gets faster, leaner, and stronger as it converts tacos into pedal strokes. What does your bike run on? When you have a stressful day dealing with clients or coworkers, the ride home on your mountain bike is a healthy way to channel your rage. You can ride like a maniac without endangering others, and that's something special. If you were to get into a car with a head full of stress it might land you in an accident or a fist fight. Here in Florida It's quite common for motorists to get in gun fights during rush hour. As fun as that sounds, I’ll stick to riding off of stuff on my mountain bike. By far the best thing about commuting by mountain bike is that you’re riding a vehicle that was engineered to have fun on. If you’re an active person who craves excitement, there’s no better way to kick off your morning. If you have some extra time, dicking around on your mountain bike is a guaranteed way to put a smile on your face. So to those who choose to commute on a mountain bike, we salute you. Today, you'll take the road less traveled, and traverse routes with no roads. Because of you, there's one less car on the road, and one more reason to eat tacos. Thanks for riding with me today and I'll see you next time. Directing and Videography: Domingo Olavarria Riding and Editing: Seth's Bike Hacks Camera: http://amzn.to/1ZqWnkt
Is everyone made in the image of God or the imago Dei? And what reflects the image of God in humanity? The Bible teaches that man and woman are God's image, and that the dignity of everyone is a universal truth. This doctrine is vital to understand sin and salvation, so we explain it in 90 seconds.
