I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be When we were younger and free I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet There's such a difference between us And a million miles Hello from the other side I must've called a thousand times To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done But when I call you never seem to be home Hello from the outside At least I can say that I've tried To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart Anymore Hello, how are you? It's so typical of me to talk about myself, I'm sorry I hope that you're well Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happened? It's no secret that the both of us Are running out of time So hello from the other side I must've called a thousand times To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done But when I call you never seem to be home Hello from the outside At least I can say that I've tried To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart Anymore, ooooohh Anymore, ooooohh Anymore, ooooohh Anymore, anymore Hello from the other side I must've called a thousand times To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done But when I call you never seem to be home Hello from the outside At least I can say that I've tried To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart Anymore

There’s nothing like a fun game that you can play on a bicycle, especially when it can help sharpen your skills. Today, we’ll be playing a really fun game called footdown. To play footdown, you’ll need an arena. If you only have a few people, make it small, like this rectangle here. The rules are flexible, but my only rule is no weapons. Start by circling the arena, and then let the battle ensue. The object of the game is to be the last rider standing. If you leave the arena, you’re out. If you put your foot down, you’re out. To make things more interesting, you can leave your bike in the ring as an obstacle for the remaining players. Footdown can be played on any bike, but your best bet is something that can take a beating. Fixed gear bikes are great because they maneuver nicely and don’t have any derailleurs or cables to worry about. Even so, if you’re worried about fucking your bike up then footdown may not be for you. With some track standing skills, you can block your opponent’s path and force them to steer out of the arena or fall down. This doesn’t do me much good against Elmo and Victor. Both are seasoned riders that can track stand forever, and ride backwards. Victor gets his skills from bike polo, and as result he’s a really strong opponent. He’ll hop his bike into you, ride backwards into your front wheel, and generally ride like a complete motherfucker. Elmo is skilled and methodical, staying out of trouble while Victor and I crash into each other. I think Elmo actually took the most wins today with this strategy. At the end of the day, we had one final bout to crown a champion. And Victor took that one. Footdown is especially fun when you play against people who are at or above your skill level. The game tests and refines your bike control like none other, and that’s why I love it.

If you haven't seen the previous episode yet, here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8s9LYwec9o Here I show u a cool trick with light, and begin the discussion on polarization In this episode, we are going to get a little serious, to demystify this concept. But first, we have to get some basics right. We NEED TO DO THE MATH. Math is going to help us understand this in greater detail. The math is going to be extremely simple, so don't you worry about that. So sit back, maybe have a pen and paper to Jot down things, and enjoy the episode. The answers will come in the next episode, so please stay tuned, and if you haven't already, SUBSCRIBE! :), and don't forget to leave a comment :) Thank you for reading You can follow me on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/FloatHeadPhysix/ Music: www.bensound.com

In 2015 the British Museum celebrated the Days of the Dead in a four-day festival full of colour, music, storytelling and art. This beautiful documentary introduces the history and evolution of the Mexican Day of the Dead, from its pagan beginnings to the multi-faceted ceremony it is today. Artist Betsabee Romero, curator Laura Osorio Sunnucks and paleobiologist Omar Regalado Fernandez talk about how every year the dead are remembered and summoned by the observances of the living who cook, eat drink, make music and decorate their graves - by 'the spirit of things, and the love of us'. The Days of the Dead festival was at the British Museum from 30th October to 2nd November 2015. Supported by BP In association with the Government of Mexico as part of 2015: Year of Mexico in the UK

Can you guess, why is light acting so funky? We all know what light is, right? Without it, our universe would "look" so different. The word "look" itself will lose its meaning. But we take its properties for granted. We hardly notice that light is one of the most fascinating thing ever. Physicists have been long baffled by various properties of light. Besides the fact, that it is the fastest thing in the universe, its speed is EXACTLY 299792458 meters per second, behaving as waves and particles depending upon situations and many more, the property we are going to discuss is the POLARIZATION. You have all heard of this property somewhere, Polaroid glasses? These glasses are very expensive, but at the same time, pretty damn amazing. What is polarization? What can you do with polarization? Can anything else be polarized? I will answer all these questions in this episode and all the future ones. An english bunny hop is a small hop you can do by jumping up in the air and taking your bike with you. Beginners have a tough time understanding the physics of this, so let’s take a closer look. It’s obvious to most people that the handlebars can be used to get the front wheel off the ground, but how is the back wheel coming up without clips or straps? Well first of all you can’t just lift your bars straight up, you need to apply force forwards too. It’s this forward force you put on your handlebars that holds your bike to your feet. Try angling your toes forwards for a “scooping” action on the rear of the bike. Now when you jump, your bike will come with you. In learning an English bunny hop, I find it useful to practice the hopping motion gradually. Keep experimenting with this, and you should start getting the bike higher and higher off the ground. If you can only get the front wheel up and not the back wheel, try shifting more of your body weight forwards to lighten up the rear of your bike. Once you nail the english bunny hop, you can stop calling it that. For the purpose of MTB trials, we’re just going to call it a hop, because going forwards we’re going to be doing so many different types of hops that trying to come up with a name for all of them would be pointless. Start practicing hops in all different directions, and you’ll be sore as fuck when you wake up tomorrow. It’ll make you stronger. With a little practice you can pivot, hop sideways, and even hop forwards. Actually, do you remember the stairs video? You have everything you need now to hop up the steps one by one. Position yourself into a track stand, and bunny hop up each step. If you find yourself in the wrong position, you can just stand there and shift your bike into place. Now we’re starting to put these techniques together. So now that you’ve learned to track stand and hop, you have two of the most important skills to know in trials. You could probably go out right now and apply some of these techniques without going any further, but we’re not stopping here. Next time, we’ll be learning how to get up really big stuff with advanced hopping techniques.

Yes, it's kind of a weird concept, but in practice it works really well to get a specific sort of acoustic bass guitar sound in a recording environment. This definitely isn't something that you'd do on a gig, but when you don't have an acoustic bass guitar handy, this works well! Try it out, and let me know how it goes! Peace, Adam
