"Hammer-On's from Nothing" are one of those techniques that Bret Garsed uses to fly around the neck! One of the big challenges with this technique is in developing the index finger strength and control needed to make this work. This is a simple Pentatonic pattern specifically focuses on strengthening your index finger, and can easily be incorporated in triplet runs. Musicians Hasan Salih Nour and Ebrahim Disco demonstrate that this ancient musical tradition is very much alive within today’s Sudanese community with their special performance in the Sainsbury African galleries.

Threaded Co2 cartridges are available at most bike shops, or even for real cheap on Amazon. Some inflators work with non threaded cartridges, but the threaded ones are more popular, and a lot more reliable in my opinion. This attachment just screws on to the end and punctures the cartridge. How you fix your flat is your business, but I usually use patches when I’m out on the trails. Road bike tubes are pretty small, but mountain bike tubes are just too bulky for me to carry everywhere. Once you’ve made your repair, just tighten the Co2 cartridge on real tight, and you’re ready to go. When you release the Co2, the cartridge will get super cold due to the decompression. It gets so cold that it could actually burn your skin, so you should hold it with part of your shirt, or grab on to something other than the cartridge itself. Some inflators cover the cartridge to protect you. It’s important to note that Co2 is designed to get you through the day, and you should fill your tire with normal air when you get home. The Co2 molecules can pass through your valve stem and rubber more easily than air, so within 24 hours it will likely be flat again. Check the description for everything you need to get started, and thanks for watching. I’ll see you next time. New album 'Live In The Acoustic Asylum' out today. Pay What You Want song/album and Guitar Tab available here: http://www.jongomm.com/store Album on iTunes here: http://j.mp/iTunGomm This song means a lot to me, so releasing it is terrifying, like a bird pushing her baby out of the nest and hoping it flies. Hope you like it. If you do, please tell somebody else about it. This is the third of nine new videos from the Live In The Acoustic Asylum sessions. CREDITS: I played the song on Wilma, my trusty Lowden guitar, fitted with Newtone Jon Gomm signature strings and Bill Keith banjo tuners, and tuned to A#FCFGC with a G7th Performance capo at the 4th fret. The sound is coming primarily from a Fishman Rare Earth Blend pickup. My vocal mic is a Sontronics STC-80. I used various effects pedals, mostly Boss. Video filmed by Owen Plummer and Danielle Millea, directed and edited by Owen Plummer. Audio engineered and produced by Ed Heaton (The Coal Room, Leeds) and Jon Gomm. Mastered by Tom at Hippocratic Mastering. LYRICS: On a train, the landscape is a rush-a grey, And tears are streaming down the window pain, I contemplate nothing Old man sits down and faces me, He’s got a smile, I think it’s aimed at me, He says “I know your problem,” “If music’s for dancing, And magic’s for the spellbound, And love is for lovers, What’s left for you?” I ask “What the hell’s that supposed to mean?” He says “Listen man, you’re the door now here’s the key, Just open up and you’re free,” “You wonder why you never understand, And everybody seems to have their masterplans, But you don’t know nothing” “If music’s for dancing, And magic’s for the spellbound, And love is for lovers, What’s left for you?” But his words they seemed like mockery, And nobody’s allowed to teach me, nobody can teach me nothing. __________________________________________________ Here's all the awesome gear I use to create music. In this installment of Adam Neely's Bass Lessons we take a look at something called the ever-expanding triplet, looking at ways to perform eighth note triplets, quarter note triplets, and every iteration of a basic triplet on up to quadruple whole note triplets. I originally got this idea from a lab taught by David Clark at Berklee, he's a fantastic teacher if you ever get a chance to study with him. Peace, Adam

Most mountain bike trail systems are marked to let you know the difficulty level of the terrain ahead. This varies from place to place, but today we’ll look at how it’s done in South Florida. Your trails are likely similar. If you’re new to mountain biking, you’ll probably start on the green dot trails, which are novice level. These trails are wide and flat, with very small obstacles only a few inches high at most. Even with a hybrid bike, the green dot is a great place to start. You won’t need any advanced skills to ride these trails, just a bike and a positive attitude. This is also a great place to stay if you’re riding with your family or young children. When you’re ready for more of a challenge, look for the blue square for intermediate difficulty. These trails can be narrow at times, and feature everything from loose gravel, to big roots, to significant elevation changes. Obstacles on these trails can be much bigger, but usually there’s a way around them if you don’t feel comfortable. Here at Oleta River State Park in North Miami Beach, most of the trails are labeled with a blue square. These trails can be super fun, even for advanced riders. When you’re ready for some serious action, try a trail marked with a black diamond. These are designed for advanced riders, and can feature super skinny lines, low branches, and large obstacles with no detours. There will also definitely be some serious climbs and descents. Once you go in, you must go balls out. If the trail is even gnarlier, it’ll be denoted with a double black diamond. I’ve even seen double red diamonds and all sorts of other stuff. As the sport of mountain biking progresses, we’re running out of trail markers, but the name of the game seems to be adding more diamonds and coloring them. Works for me. Always remember to bring plenty of water, and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. Thanks for watching, ride safe, and I’ll see you next time.

In the last week of 2013, I demolished my shoulder. The injury was right at the borderline of requiring surgery, so the orthopedist gave me the option of just letting it heal. So far, so good. The injury is called a separated shoulder, and it leaves a pretty nasty looking hump.
You’ll need a cassette tool, a whip, and a wrench. First, remove the quick release, as it’ll get in the way. Make sure you don’t lose the little springs, even though they don’t really do anything. Here, we can see the cassette tool fits right into the lock ring at the end, but if we try to unscrew it the cassette just turns freely. This is what we need the whip for, but you could also use a spare piece of bike chain and some pliers or a bench vice. Give it a good crank and it should come loose. On many cassettes there will be a few loose gears at the end, so make sure you keep these together. When you install the cassette on the new wheel, notice that the spline isn’t the same all the way around. This part right here has a smaller ridge on it, so you’ll need to line up the cassette for it to slide on. When you find the right spot it should go on with very little effort. Screw the lock ring back on with your fingers, and then give it a good crank with the wrench. You don’t need to make it crazy tight, but be firm. Put your quick release skewer back on, and you’re all set. Check the description for links to all the tools, and thanks for watching. I’ll see you next time, and ride safe. 'Cause I’ve got a jet black heart And there’s a hurricane underneath it Trying to keep us apart I write with a poison pen But these chemicals moving between us Are the reason to start again Now I’m holding on for dear life There’s no way that we could rewind Maybe there’s nothing after midnight That could make you stay But now that I’m broken And now that you know it Caught up in a moment Can you see inside? 'Cause I’ve got a jet black heart And there’s a hurricane underneath it Trying to keep us apart I write with a poison pen But these chemicals moving between us Are the reason to start again The blood in my veins Is made up of mistakes Let’s forget who we are And dive into the dark As we burst into color Returning to life 'Cause I’ve got a jet black heart And there’s a hurricane underneath it Trying to keep us apart I write with a poison pen But these chemicals moving between us Are the reason to start again To start again ignore 5 seconds of summer 5sos guitar cover how to play strumming pattern easy acoustic cover

Crosscutting plywood with a combination blade almost always results in tear out and I find the easiest way to prevent that is just cover the plywood with painters tape. The tear out tends to happen more so on the top side but I like to play it safe and cover both sides before running it through the saw.
