New album 'Miss Anthropocene' out now: https://grimes.ffm.to/missanthropocene since this is no longer gonna be on the album, I’m releasing it as a special thank you to everyone in Singapore, KL, Manila, Jakarta, HK, Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei, Seoul, Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo who came out to the shows! It was an honor to play with a bunch of amazing bands and travel to places I would never otherwise be able to go This song was never finished. its a demo from ~ the lost album ~, recorded early 2013. i lost the ableton file, so its not mixed or mastered. i tried to doctor the mp3 into a listenable state, but it was poorly recorded in the first place and never meant to be heard by anyone, so its a bit of a mess haha. One of the things I always liked about Hendrix's guitar style, was the way he approached his rhythm playing. In Part 2 of our look at Augustine of Hippo, we dive into the profound theological legacy that shaped the Western intellectual world and the Christian church. Moving beyond his biography, we break down Augustine's most famous doctrines and the historical controversies that forged them. We explore his fierce debates with Pelagius over original sin, grace, and predestination; his response to the Donatist controversy and what it means for the Church and sacraments; and his enduring ideas on how Christians should interact with the political world, including his groundbreaking Just War theory and reflections in The City of God. This spline jig is a real simple and easy to make jig that rides along your table saw fence and allows you to cut splines in picture frames and boxes. Just using glue on mitered corners may seem good enough but over time as the width of the wood expands and contracts with the seasons the joints will eventually break. And that’s why you need splines. Unlike a lot of spline jigs, this rides along the fence and not in the miter slot which means you can place the spline anywhere you want and even cut wider splines by moving the fence and making multiple passes. Setting the blade height is easy since the corner sits just a hair above the table and the two guides easily clear the blade. Wait! There's an improved version: https://youtu.be/mvmuCPvRoWQ Also, for the calculus-savvy, you'll prefer this one: https://youtu.be/v0YEaeIClKY Home page: https://www.3blue1brown.com/ The enigmatic equation e^{pi i} = -1 is usually explained using Taylor's formula during a calculus class. This video offers a different perspective, which involves thinking about numbers as actions, and about e^x as something which turns one action into another. Did Martin Luther really reject biblical law and embrace Antinomianism? Many believe Luther came close to Antinomian views, at least, since his view of justification by faith was opposed to works of the Law. From a hedonistic student in Carthage to the most influential theologian in Western history, the journey of Saint Augustine of Hippo is nothing short of legendary. In this first installment of our series, we trace Augustine’s early life and the intellectual "odyssey" that led him from the Manichaean sect to the heights of Neoplatonism, and finally, to that famous moment in a Milanese garden. We explore how his early struggles with desire, doubt, and the search for truth laid the groundwork for a theology that would define the Western world for over a thousand years.
