How to Make a Magnetic Bangle Bracelet. It’s a pretty simple process that starts by gluing up some contrasting wood and ripping 2” pieces on the tablesaw. I will then cut a groove on one piece and a tongue on the mating piece. After that I’ll drill a quarter inch hole with a forstner bit on each end a then glue in a rare earth magnet. Next I’ll take my printed template and attach it using spray adhesive and cut out the bracelets on the bandsaw and do some final shaping with the disc and spindle sanders. This is a quick project that can be done in a couple of hours. A beginner guitarist friend of mine asked me what he should do next now that he had worked out the first Pentatonic Scale shape. I said it was time he started to make music! This lesson outlines how to play the Pentatonic shape against Minor, Major and Blues shapes, then finishes with an alternative way of lining this same shape up against Major chords to create new colors. Learning to improvise on the guitar is one of the most creative and rewarding things that you can do. The big challenge for a beginner though, is to bridge the gap between just playing scales and playing the music that is actually inside of you. Making music with the pentatonic scale is a great way to start because it is one of the fundamental building blocks of pretty much any musical style and can be used as a stepping stone to develop a full musical vocabulary.

This surprisingly flexible lick gives you a different way of playing arpeggios on the guitar. Once you get it under your fingers, start experimenting with playing other notes around the pedal note... - Other chord and scale tones, - 3 note and 4 note patterns, - Playing notes above the pedal note as well as below it - Try coming up with your own "Eruption" style string of arpeggios. etc. Have fun with it!
