Neutron Stars are some of the strangest things in the Universe. Not quite massive enough to become black holes they are basically atoms as big as mountains with properties so extreme it's mind-blowing. Number 7 in the series of opening a parcel containing a retro product. I tend to order various parcels at the same time, or see bargains and just click "Buy". Then packages loiter in my house for a while, so I genuinely don't know what is in this package. I do know it's a vintage item, it's likely to be technology related and it's likely to be nostalgic. For the curious of you who can't be bothered to watch the video, this item is a 1980's computer, or more precisely a laptop. It's bloody heavy and it's a little bit grubby. But hey, anything almost 30 years old is, right?

It involves plastic, the use of wheels and the brand name has connotations to wooden sticks that can burst into flames

This week I was focusing on a simple descending Sextuplet Pentatonic pattern. This turned out to be tougher that I'd expected as you'll see in the clip! This is the end of my third week on these kind of Pentatonic Runs (Here are the other two videos). http://youtu.be/5nzkIF78Lio http://youtu.be/oskT_br3pzo Just to be critical with myself, I need to slow it down again and go for accuracy, but I fancied pushing myself to see how I cope! Generally though, I know that I'm moving much more freely over these shapes now, and I am applying them to the music that I'm playing, which is really the point of this, so I'm feeling upbeat about it. Next week I feel like I need to take another break from all this technique stuff so I'm going to do some improvisation instead. See you then! Guitar Tips, Tricks, Lessons. New Content Every Week! This Video explains how to find the Distance To Fault in or DTF, using a Time Domain Reflectometer or "TDR." Use this to locate problems with your coax cable.

This is a simple avalanche type, TDR ( Time domain reflectometer ) which allows you to analyze many different issues with coaxial cable. This is the first video in a small series. I will also cover DTF, or "Distance To Fault," how to determine Impedance, using this TDR to check an oscilloscope graticule, looking for hidden barrel connectors, or "a splice," and so on....

Bill nominates, perhaps only provocatively, James Bosnack's cigarette machine as the invention with the greatest economic impact on the 20th century. Cigarettes, as compared to pipes and cigars, are and the most direct way to deliver nicotine to the brain. Bosnack's machine made the mass production of cigarettes possible. The use of cigarettes, of course, has taken a tremendous human and economic toll. (The quotations are from Tastes of Paradise by Wolfgang Shivelbusch published by Pantheon, New York, 1992.)
Part 8 of my Iron Man Hulkbuster build - starting the forearms including space for pop-out weapon pods. I'm using 3D printing as well as sheet materials in this episode. In this series, I build a complete Iron Man Hulkbuster cosplay with animatronics and mechatronics with a step-by-step guide to cover everything you’ll need to build your very own suit. From 3D printing the parts to installing the mechanics that make this whole suit wearable and actually able to walk around. ① GENIUS No MacArthur grant yet. Bill explains how the rise of home air conditioning had to battle the open air movements in public school: They regarded it as only for factories where it was first introduced. Only when movie theatres added air conditioning in the 1930 and 1940s did it become popular for the home.

Alex from ThisWoodwork and Steve from Woodworking for Mere Mortals challenged their viewers to make something that represents their town, state or country. This is the shape of Ohio made from the numbers 4-1-9. 4-1-9 is the telephone area code of Toledo. Toledo is also known as the Glass City because of it’s long history of making glass and innovation in the glass industry. I wanted to represent that glass heritage in this piece as the background.
