More Pentatonic scales with long fast 16th note passages, everything finger-picked. Lets develop these ideas and move them all around the neck. Come back in a week to see how I have got on! Practice for the week this week is ascending and descending 16th note patterns. I thought I'd play around with the slow-mo this time too! Unfortunately there's no escaping that, but it was fun to hear how accurate I really was! These kind of patterns are a great way of learning a scale, building finger dexterity and smoothness in your playing. They can also be used as phrases in improvisations. This week I'm finger-picking every note to give both hands a workout, then I talk about the best way of approaching this kind of practice. Guitar Tips, Tricks, Lessons. New Content Every Week! Bill tells the story of how George Eastman invented film. Its use in the Brownie camera revolutionized photography; that it changed the way American families think of themselves and recall their own histories.

Iron Man Armour Cosplay, suiting up!: Finishing off the electronics for my Iron Man Armour Cosplay Suit to make it finally fully wearable. Still a few more pieces to go to finish all of it. I hope you enjoy watching my Iron Man Cosplay Armour Suit video! - check out my channel for more Iron Man Suit videos. The biggest challenge making your own Iron Man power suit - that you can actually wear! – is how much detail. Every expects it to look accurate in terms of colour and shaping, and if you’re going to get inside it latches, strapping and so on is a must but… what else? Do you motorise the faceplate? How much lighting and depth do you give the unibeam? What kind of flexibility and motion do the knees, knuckles and neck need? Well, hopefully you’ll agree I went all out on this Iron Man build. Let me know what you think in the comments below. ① GENIUS No MacArthur grant yet. But while I’m still waiting by the phone for that call, maybe you might patronise me with your Patreon-age. A sermon preached at Sawgrass Chapel in Ponte Vedra, Florida.
How to make a serving tray. Making this serving tray is a quick woodworking project that can be finished in a weekend. I’m making my wooden serving tray using padauk and maple woods. The padauk contrasts with the maple nicely and has a brilliant color. You should note that the bright orange of padauk will fade to brown over time. The ends of this tray use a joinery technique called breadboard ends that uses a tongue and groove method to connect. I start out by taking 3/4” maple and 3/4” padauk and resawing them on the bandsaw. The recessed holes for the glass bowls are much bigger than my biggest drill bit so I undercut them and rough them out with a jig saw. I will then take my MDF circle template and use a flush trim bit in my router to complete the nice round circle. The feet I’m using on this project was turned on the lathe but could have easily been cut out on the bandsaw or even made square. The handles on the opposite ends have a finger groove cut out on the router using a cove bit. This isn’t necessary but adds a nice touch and feel to the project. The greatest Olympic runner of all was Leonidas of Rhodes who won all three running events at each of the four successive Olympiads between 164 and 152 BC. Women competed in foot races at Olympia, but these were not part of the Olympic Games. British Museum curator Judith Swaddling describes the runners.
The long jump was the only type of jumping contest in the ancient Olympics. It differed vitally from our long jump in that athletes used pairs of weights or halteres, swung forward on take-off and back just before landing, probably as a handicap. British Museum curator Judith Swaddling describes the amphora.
Chariot-racing was the only Olympic sport in which women could take part, as owners of teams of horses. Kyniska, a princess of Sparta, was the first woman to win the Olympic crown in this sport. British Museum curator Judith Swaddling describes the amphora.
Winners in the ancient Olympics were allowed to set up statues of themselves at Olympia. If they won three times they could set up specially commissioned portrait statues which could cost up to ten times the average yearly wage. British Museum curator Judith Swaddling describes the Daidoumenos
