Video by Sgt. Maj. James Denton 1st Battalion, 158th Infantry M240B From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M240_machine_gun The M240, officially Machine Gun, 7.62mm, M240, is the US military designation for the FN MAG (Mitrailleuse d'Appui Général, meaning General Purpose Machine Gun), a family of belt-fed, gas-operated medium machine guns firing the 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge. The M240 has been used by the United States Armed Forces since the late-1970s. It is used extensively by infantry, most often rifle companies; as well as ground vehicles; watercraft; and aircraft. Despite not being the lightest medium machine gun in service, it is highly regarded for reliability, and its standardization among NATO members is also seen as a major advantage. All variants are fed from disintegrating belts, and are capable of firing most types of 7.62 mm (.308) NATO ammunition. M240 variants can use non-disintegrating belts (following replacement of a few easily swappable parts). There are significant differences in weight and some features among some versions which restrict interchangeability of parts. The M240s used by the US military are currently manufactured by FN Manufacturing, a US-based branch of FN Herstal. The M240B and M240G (see Variants section) are usually fired from an integrated bipod, a vehicular mount, an M192 tripod that is mostly used by the U.S. Army; and the M122 tripod (a slightly updated M2 tripod) that is mostly used by the U.S. Marine Corps.

Video by Sgt. Maj. James Denton 1st Battalion, 158th Infantry From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Beretta M9, officially the Pistol, Semiautomatic, 9mm, M9, is a 9×19mm Parabellum pistol adopted by the United States Armed Forces in 1985. It is essentially a military specification Beretta 92F, later known as the 92FS. The M9 won a competition in the 1980s to replace the M1911A1 as the primary sidearm of the U.S. military, beating many other contenders, and only narrowly defeating the SIG P226 for cost reasons. It officially entered service in 1990. Some other models have been adopted to a lesser extent, namely the M11 pistol, and other models remain in use in certain niches. The M9 was scheduled to be replaced under a United States Army program, the Future Handgun System (FHS), which was merged with the SOF Combat Pistol program to create the Joint Combat Pistol (JCP). The JCP was renamed Combat Pistol (CP), and the number of pistols to be bought was drastically cut back. The joint U.S. Army/Air Force Modular Handgun System could select a commercial off-the-shelf handgun to replace the M9 pistol in Fiscal Year 2013--2014 if budget funds allow the implementation of the study.

My name is Peter and yes, I... have an addiction to nostalgia. I admit to having an addiction to seeking out, buying, playing or just researching computers, games & software from the 70′s, 80′s & 90′s. This addiction is probably unhealthy left untapped, & it's hard to justify keeping & expanding upon a collection of retro goods just for the purposing of basking in a room full of pure nostalgia, therefore, this channel, is my outlet to share these things with you. It is essentially a fraught justification for me continuing to buy, hoard & just waste endless days on this stuff. Still we all have our vices don’t we? I just like sitting amongst old junk.

The dynamic art of discus throwing inspired a number of ancient Greek sculptors. The method of throwing was then very different. Athletes seem to have used only a three-quarter turn, unlike the two and a half spins of modern throwers.

The 1980's were an epic decade for micro computing, this is a fine example of the quality that came out of that decade... It's an Oric-1 Micro Computer. Full review to follow.
The current crisis in Iraq explained in under 5 minutes. There is war in Iraq? Again? And the US and Iran are talking about working together? And who is this ISIS Terrorist group that is all over the news? And Religion? Oh dear... When exactly has the world gone mad again? It is not possible to explain a complicated topic like this without simplification. We are very aware that this video is not painting a full picture of the situation. But we hope that it may lay the foundation on which you can try to do your own research and understand how horribly Fu**ed up the whole situation is. We did have to produce the video super fast -- thanks a lot to our friends Martin Wackerbauer and Magnus Schlüter for helping us out -- we would not have been able to make this video in time without you guys! Kurzgesagt loves all people as long as they don't hurt others and don't hinder mankind on its quest to the stars. So it was very sad to read so much terrible stuff about the situation in Iraq. Hopefully it will get better.
