De zoon van Tattoo Peter - de eigenaar van de oudste tattooshop van Nederland - kan het nog steeds niet geloven. Tijdens een inbraak in de nacht van dinsdag op woensdag in zijn studiootje in De Rijp is de vitrinekast met oude tatoeagemachines van zijn vader gestolen. De machines - sommigen uit begin jaren 60 - waren bestemd voor een museum dat hij ooit dolgraag zou openen. "Ik vind het verschrikkelijk." Een houten vitrinekast met een achtergrond van groen vilt bevat vintage tattoomachines en verschillende metalen onderdelen die op twee planken staan, zichtbaar door de glazen deur. Eddy Wertwijn geeft zijn dochter een dikke knuffel. Ze huilen allebei. "Godskanonne, wie doet zoiets?", vraagt hij zich af. Toen Wertwijn gisterochtend naar zijn studio in De Rijp kwam, was het raam ingeslagen en lag de vloer bezaaid met glas. Het enige wat was meegenomen, was de vitrinekast met oude tattoomachines. "Ik kan niet begrijpen dat mensen onrespectvol zijn tegen de oudste tattooshop van Nederland. En voor wat? Om het door te verkopen? Het is van mij. Ik wil het doorgeven aan de volgende generaties. Dat is het allerbelangrijkst." Want dat is de droom van Wertwijn: een museum openen over de geschiedenis van zijn vader. "Dus wil ik graag zeggen tegen degene die het heeft meegenomen: geef het alsjeblieft terug. Van mijn part leg je het in een kluis en stuur je de sleutel naar me toe per post. De zoon van Tattoo Peter - de eigenaar van de oudste tattooshop van Nederland - kan het nog steeds niet geloven. Tijdens een inbraak in de nacht van dinsdag op woensdag in zijn studiootje in De Rijp is de vitrinekast met oude tatoeagemachines van zijn vader gestolen. De machines - sommigen uit begin jaren 60 - waren bestemd voor een museum dat hij ooit dolgraag zou openen. "Ik vind het verschrikkelijk." Een houten vitrinekast met een achtergrond van groen vilt bevat vintage tattoomachines en verschillende metalen onderdelen die op twee planken staan, zichtbaar door de glazen deur. Foto: Eddy Wertwijn Eddy Wertwijn geeft zijn dochter een dikke knuffel. Ze huilen allebei. "Godskanonne, wie doet zoiets?", vraagt hij zich af. Toen Wertwijn gisterochtend naar zijn studio in De Rijp kwam, was het raam ingeslagen en lag de vloer bezaaid met glas. Het enige wat was meegenomen, was de vitrinekast met oude tattoomachines. Op bewakingsbeelden zag hij hoe twee mensen in bivakmutsen in een auto stappen. Tattoo Peter opende in 1955 in de St. Olofsteeg de eerste tattooshop van Amsterdam en was daarmee de grondlegger van de tattoocultuur in de stad. Verschrikkelijk "Ik vind het verschrikkelijk", vertelt Wertwijn. "Ik kan niet begrijpen dat mensen onrespectvol zijn tegen de oudste tattooshop van Nederland. En voor wat? Om het door te verkopen? Het is van mij. Ik wil het doorgeven aan de volgende generaties. Dat is het allerbelangrijkst." Want dat is de droom van Wertwijn: een museum openen over de geschiedenis van zijn vader. "Dus wil ik graag zeggen tegen degene die het heeft meegenomen: geef het alsjeblieft terug. Van mijn part leg je het in een kluis en stuur je de sleutel naar me toe per post.
