Introduced in 1932, the Ciné-Kodak Eight Model 20 was Kodak's first home movie camera designed for use with its brand-new 8mm Standard (also known as Double 8) film format. Horchata Ingredients 260g long grain rice 80g blanched almonds 2 cinnamon sticks (plus extra for garnish) 1 star anise 1 tin (385g) evaporated milk 1 tin (320g) condensed milk 1/2 tbsp vanilla paste 1/2 tsp salt Method Add the rice, almonds, cinnamon and star anise in a large frying pan over medium/high heat. Toast, stirring often for 4-5 minutes until aromatic and lightly golden brown. Transfer to a bowl and fill with cold water until the water line reaches two knuckles from the top of the rice. Transfer the bowl to the fridge overnight to soak. The next day, blend everything (including the spices and water) on high for 2 minutes or until smooth. Pass the mixture through a fine sieve fitted with a cheese cloth. Once passed, add evaporated milk, condensed milk, vanilla and salt. Serve over ice with a cinnamon stick for garnish.

Dat zegt minister van Binnenlandse Zaken Bernard Quintin (MR) in De Afspraak op Vrijdag. "We bevinden ons in een soort van oorlog", zegt hij, al zijn er volgens hem geen concrete aanwijzingen voor een gelijkaardige aanval in ons land. "Bevindingen van onze diensten en partners duiden beiden op een Russische betrokkenheid bij de geplande en uitgevoerde en ook verijdelde hybride acties." Dat zei de Duitse minister van Binnenlandse Zaken eerder deze week, naar aanleiding van een mislukte droneaanval op een Oekraïens vrachtvliegtuig op de luchthaven van Leipzig. Daar vonden speurders onder meer een drone met een zwaar explosief. Door een defect aan de ontsteker ging dat niet af. Als reactie sloot Duitsland een Russisch consulaat en een cultureel centrum. Rusland noemde de beschuldigingen "ongefundeerd en absurd". Onze veiligheidsdiensten volgen de situatie van nabij op. Ze zullen dat blijven doen, in goede samenwerking met de veiligheidsdiensten van onze buren. "Dat neemt niet weg dat we ook hier problemen hebben gehad. Een paar maanden geleden hadden we hier andere drones, maar die waren niet geladen met explosieven." "Dit is geen hybride dreiging, maar een aanval" Volgens Quintin dekt de term "hybride" dreiging de lading niet. "Ik heb een hekel aan dat woord", zegt hij. "Wat in Leipzig gebeurde, was een aanval. Punt aan de lijn. We bevinden ons in een soort van oorlog." "We krijgen elke dag te maken met cyberaanvallen. Er worden kabels doorgesneden in de Finse Zee, en het is duidelijk dat de Russen daarachter zitten. Dat zijn aanvallen. Ze zijn een oorlog aan het voeren tegen ons." Zo beschikken we zeker over de nodige inlichtingen om ons te beschermen." Daarnaast moet er opnieuw meer geïnvesteerd worden in defensie, besluit Quintin. "De voorbije 10 tot 15 jaar is dat onvoldoende gebeurd. Investeringen in het leger versterken ook onze inlichtingencapaciteit. Twenty-five hundred workers lost their jobs with almost no notice when a Tyson Foods beef processing plant in Joslin, Illinois, was abruptly closed on August 14. Workers, most of whom are represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, are demanding Tyson increase their severance pay to at least six months of full compensation with benefits. Dozens of laid-off workers protested at the Illinois state Capitol in Springfield on Thursday, urging Illinois Governor JB Pritzker to reopen the plant under state ownership and provide relief to all affected workers. Tyson also shuttered a facility in Utah, citing “historic cattle shortages” as the reason for the two closures. The 75-year low of the U.S. cattle herd is due in part to drought, the rising cost of fertilizer and diesel due to the U.S. war in Iran, and years of industry consolidation. Tyson CEO and President Donnie King made over $34 million last year, nearly 800 times more than the median Tyson worker and double the average CEO-to-worker pay ratio among S&P 500 companies.

Will the AdF be able to govern in Saxony-Anhalt?

Whether the AfD can actually govern in Saxony-Anhalt depends on whether the party either wins an absolute majority (in which case it could govern alone) or finds a coalition partner. The latter could be difficult, as all parties except the BSW have established a firewall against the AfD and say they will not form a coalition with it under any circumstances. If the AfD does end up governing, it is very likely that it would also provide the Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt. Its candidate is Ulrich Siegmund. He would be the first head of government from a party officially classified as right-wing extremist at either the federal or state level in Germany. Only two other parties can currently be certain of entering the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament: the CDU and The Left (Die Linke). According to current polls, all other parties could fail to clear the 5% threshold. Forming a government without the AfD could therefore prove difficult as well, especially since the CDU and The Left are politically far apart. The CDU rejects cooperation with The Left, while The Left has indicated it would be open to such cooperation if it helped prevent the AfD from entering government. The AfD has put forward several proposals for how it would change Saxony-Anhalt if it were to govern or participate in government. For example, it plans to abolish the current public broadcasting system and replace it with a new model called “Grundfunk” (“basic broadcasting”). It also advocates stricter migration policies.
