In een schriftelijke reactie laat de politicus weten dat hij het woord omvolken nooit 'in publieke uitingen' heeft gebruikt en noemt hij het 'een destructief woord'.

Ajax heeft vanmiddag weer een nieuw dieptepunt bereikt. Door gelijk te spelen tegen Heerenveen moet de ploeg van García de play-offs in om Europees voetbal te halen. Dat betekent dat dit horrorseizoen voor Ajax dus nog niet afgelopen Vanmiddag moesten de Amsterdammers het waarmaken. Hoewel Ajax ook afhankelijk was van de resultaten op de andere velden, stond er veel op het spel. García was duidelijk niet tevreden over de nederlaag tegen FC Utrecht, waarin Ajax dure punten verspeelde. De trainer koos daarom voor opvallend veel nieuwe namen in zijn basiselftal. Ko Itakura verving de niet fitte Josip Šutalo centraal achterin. Op het middenveld kreeg Sean Steur de voorkeur boven Youri Regeer en begon Davy Klaassen in plaats van Oscar Gloukh. In de spits startte Wout Weghorst in plaat van Kasper Dolberg. Niet goed genoeg  Heerenveen begon sterk aan de wedstrijd en kreeg direct een paar grote kansen. De Friezen waren duidelijk niet van plan de rode loper uit te rollen voor de Amsterdammers. Toch liet Ajax bij vlagen ook goed spel zien, vooral via Mika Godts. Later in de eerste helft kwam Ajax wat beter in de wedstrijd, onder meer via een goede kopkans van Wout Weghorst. Toch leek het erop alsof Ajax in het eerste deel van de wedstrijd niet volledig besefte hoe belangrijk het was om te winnen. Wel kreeg Ajax tegen het einde van de tweede helft nog een paar grote kansen. Eerst was er een grote kans via Gaaei, die met een keiharde knal de lat raakte en ook Steur had een lekker schot dat net misging. Maar het was niet goed genoeg. Met een 0-0 ging Ajax naar de kleedkamers. Ajax begon slecht aan de tweede helft. Heerenveen kreeg kans op kans, maar de Amsterdammers kropen steeds door het oog van de naald. Inmiddels kwam de regen ook met bakken uit de hemel, wat goed paste bij het seizoen van Ajax. Twente stond rond de 70ste minuut dik achter tegen PSV, dus Ajax had maar een goaltje nodig om de play-offs te ontlopen.  Waterballet In de 78ste minuut had García genoeg gezien en bracht Dolberg als extra spits in het veld. Maar het veld hielp ook niet meer mee. De bal rolde amper nog door vanwege de harde regen. Maar toen was daar Carrizo, als een duiveltje uit een doosje. Door een goede steekpass kwam hij een-op-een met de keeper, maar de Argentijn kreeg de bal er niet in. Dat was wat geweest voor de Argentijn, die dit seizoen nieuw bij Ajax is gekomen. Maar hoe hard Ajax het ook probeerde, door de regen was het nog amper mogelijk om te voetballen op het veld. Niet dat de regen de schuldige was, maar het hielp zeker niet mee in de slotfase van de wedstrijd. Uiteindelijk wist Ajax niet te scoren en gaan de Amsterdammers de play-offs in. In Antwerpen zijn er rellen uitgebroken na een actie van de Nederlandse YouTuber ISAE. De politie heeft 7 relschoppers, onder wie 6 minderjarigen, gearresteerd. Er vielen geen gewonden. De Nederlandse YouTuber ISAE organiseerde zaterdagavond een actie in een restaurant in de Pothoekstraat in Antwerpen. De influencer wilde geld inzamelen voor een kankerpatiënt. Op die actie kwamen enkele honderden jongeren af. Rond 21 uur kreeg de Antwerpse politie een verwittiging dat er een grote groep jongeren verzamelde aan het Operaplein. "Al snel groeide de groep aan tot zeker 300 personen", klinkt het bij de politie. "Om een nog onbekende reden ontstonden er rellen. Relschoppers gooiden met eieren, steps, stenen en vuurwerk naar gebouwen en de politie." Steeds meer jongeren kwamen op het spektakel af. Bemiddelingsteams van de politie waren aanwezig, net als tal van agenten. In totaal werden 7 relschoppers opgepakt, onder wie 6 minderjarigen. De politie bleef de hele nacht patrouilles uitvoeren en controleerde jongeren op straat. Rond 1 uur afgelopen nacht was de rust teruggekeerd. Er vielen geen gewonden. "Schandalig" Tijdens de rellen probeerde de YouTuber de relschoppers tot bedaren te brengen. "Antwerpen, gedraag jullie alstublieft. Dan kan ik lang blijven", riep hij op via Instagram. Uiteindelijk verliet hij de stad vroegtijdig. "Jammer dat het vandaag zo is gegaan. Later gaan jullie beseffen dat het echt schandalig is dat ik een restaurant run voor een jongen met kanker en jullie het verpesten", schrijft hij nadien op Instagram. Wie is YouTuber ISAE? Yasser Ghermaoui (28), beter bekend als ISAE, begon in 2020 met het maken van video's, vlogs en livestreams op YouTube, waarin hij zijn dagelijkse leven toont. De Marokkaans-Nederlandse vlogger heeft vooral een jonge fanbase in Nederland en Vlaanderen. ISAE is ook een omstreden figuur. Zo raakte hij verwikkeld in een gerechtelijk onderzoek naar verzekeringsfraude. Hij zou zijn eigen Mercedes in brand hebben laten steken door 2 Antwerpenaren in een ondergrondse parkeergarage van een appartementsgebouw in Hasselt. De schade was enorm. Het appartementsgebouw werd tijdelijk onbewoonbaar verklaard en een twintigtal bewoners moest tijdelijk een andere verblijfplaats zoeken. ISAE werd enkele maanden in voorlopige hechtenis gehouden. In afwachting van het onderzoek mocht hij in maart de gevangenis verlaten. Hij ontkent de feiten. Deze maand trekt hij op tour door België om zijn fans te ontmoeten. UPDATE 17 mei 18.00u: De bestuurder is niet langer in levensgevaar. In Brasschaat is afgelopen weekend een 16-jarige jongen overleden bij een verkeersongeval. In een flauwe bocht reed de bestuurder van de wagen tegen een boom. Volgens de eerste vaststellingen reed hij 100 kilometer per uur in een zone 50. Alle inzittenden van het voertuig (4 jongens en 1 meisje) zijn tussen 16 en 17 jaar oud, de bestuurder had geen rijbewijs. De bestuurder (17) is buiten levensgevaar na het zware ongeval in Brasschaat. Een van zijn passagiers, een jongen van 14, vecht wel nog voor zijn leven. Dat meldt het parket van Antwerpen. In de gemeente wordt intussen verslagen gereageerd op het nieuws: "Dit raakt ons allemaal", klinkt het in de hockeyclub en de school. De tol van het ongeval in Brasschaat was loodzwaar. De auto raakte vrijdagavond kort voor middernacht van de weg, schampte met de rechterflank een boom en kwam dan frontaal tegen een andere boom tot stilstand. Een jongen van 16 overleefde de klap niet. Drie andere passagiers, een meisje en een jongen van 16 en een jongen van 14, raakten zwaargewond. De jongen van 14 vecht zondagavond nog voor zijn leven. Ook de bestuurder van 17 verkeerde een tijdlang in levensgevaar, maar dat is intussen geweken. Foto De omstandigheden van het ongeval worden nog volop onderzocht. We weten al dat de bestuurder geen rijbewijs had en tegen 100 km/u in een zone 50 reed. Of de inzittenden hun gordel droegen, wordt nog bekeken. Bij de bestuurder is ook een bloedstaal afgenomen om na te gaan of hij onder invloed was. Die resultaten zullen in de loop van volgende week bekend zijn. Het is ook nog niet duidelijk van wie de auto was. Nieuws komt hard binnen in Brasschaat: "5 jongeren speelden hockey bij ons" Alle slachtoffers speelden hockey bij KHC Dragons in Brasschaat. Scholen van jongeren voorzien opvang De overleden jongen ging naar de hotelschool Ter Duinen in Koksijde. Ook daar wordt verslagen gereageerd. Normaal gezien beginnen alle leerlingen met hun stage morgen, de school gaat alle stageplekken dan ook verwittigen. "Het nieuws is hard binnengekomen. We kijken morgen samen hoe we de leerlingen het best kunnen ondersteunen", zegt directeur Peter Verbeke aan VRT NWS. Het grijpt iedereen aan Patrick De Bruyn - directeur Sint-Michielscollege Tot het 2e middelbaar ging de overleden jongen naar het Sint-Michielscollege in Brasschaat, en 2 van de gewonde slachtoffers lopen daar nog altijd school. Ook daar niets dan verslagenheid, vertelt directeur Patrick De Bruyn. "Het grijpt iedereen aan, ik krijg reacties van alle kanten, van medeleerlingen, van ouders, van collega's. Ik ben zelf ouder, heb nog lesgegeven aan de ouders van een van de slachtoffers, dit grijpt je aan." "Toen het nieuws gisterenochtend binnenkwam, hebben we met het rouwteam vergaderd en afspraken gemaakt rond communicatie en opvang", vertelt hij. "De klassen waar de getroffen leerlingen zitten, gaan we morgen apart opvangen. Ook het CLB en de politie van Brasschaat zal aanwezig zijn. We willen iedereen de ruimte laten, zodat iedereen zichzelf kan zijn in al zijn verdriet." Luca overmeesterde bestuurder die inreed op voetgangers in Italiaanse stad Modena en kreeg zelf twee messteken: “Held die zichzelf opofferde” Een van de helden van de aanrijding in de Noord-Italiaanse stad Modena zaterdag, is zonder twijfel omstaander Luca Signorelli. De man slaagde erin de bestuurder te overmeesteren toen die wilde vluchten en kreeg daarbij zelf messteken. Bij het incident vielen in totaal acht gewonden. Twee personen zijn hun benen verloren. De dader, een 31-jarige Italiaanse man van Marokkaanse afkomst, wordt momenteel verhoord door de politie. Er is ook een huiszoeking aan de gang. Er is nog geen duidelijk motief, maar Italiaanse media schrijven dat er geen aanwijzingen zijn dat de man geradicaliseerd is of linken heeft met terroristische groeperingen. Hij zou ook niet onder invloed geweest zijn. Er zouden wel tekenen zijn van "ernstige psychische instabiliteit". "Wat er vandaag in Modena is gebeurd, is uiterst ernstig", reageert de Italiaanse premier Giorgia Meloni. "Ik betuig mijn medeleven aan de gewonden en hun families. Bulgarije heeft voor het eerst het Eurovisiesongfestival gewonnen. Tijdens een bijzonder spannende 70e editie in Wenen haalde het land uiteindelijk 516 punten, ruim voldoende om achtervolger Israël achter zich te laten. België strandt op de 21e plek. De spanning bleef hoog tot de allerlaatste seconden, in een editie die al maanden onder hoogspanning stond door protesten, boycots en discussies over de deelname van Israël. De puntentelling begon zoals altijd met de vakjury, maar die gaf dit jaar geen enkele duidelijke richting aan de finale. Geen enkele inzending wist zich echt los te maken, waardoor de top 6 voortdurend in beweging bleef. In het voorjaar van 1982 valt er een brief van een Amerikaanse legerarts op de mat van de GGD. Een heel legerpeloton uit de VS blijkt besmet met hepatitis. Het is het startsein om de hygiëne in de Amsterdamse tattooshops eens nauwkeurig onder de loep te nemen. Want daar hebben de tattookunstenaars weinig benul van. "In de hitte sterilisator werden ook de saucijzenbroodjes opgewarmd." Vandaag inspecteert Suzanne Blom van de GGD de tattooshop van Henk Schiffmacher aan de Ceintuurbaan. Nauwkeurig controleert ze of er hygiënisch wordt gewerkt. "Een uitglijer en je kunt je tent sluiten", weet Schiffmacher. De 74-jarige tattookunstenaar was als eerste aan de beurt toen in de jaren 80 de GGD zag dat hygiëne in het vak niet erg serieus genomen werd. Emmertje bloed met spons Tattoo Peter was de eerste Amsterdammer die in 1955 een shop opende in de Sint Olofssteeg om de hoek van de Zeedijk. Schiffmacher: "De naald ging van de ene arm in de andere en naast hem stond een emmertje met wat waterig bloed en een spons. "Wat nog wel eens voorkwam, was dat er een enorme korst met pus ontstond op een tatoeage. Die moest er dan 'uitzweren'." Onbekend virus "Toen Leen Stoutjesdijk van de GGD op een dag bij mij op de stoep stond, bedacht ik me dat we het beste konden meewerken", vertelt Schiffmacher. "Wij hadden er niet voor gestudeerd en er moest echt iets gebeuren. Zeker toen er onder onze homoseksuele klanten doden vielen door een nog onbekend virus." In gesprek met een demonstrant in Loosdrecht zegt Kamerlid Gidi Markuszower dat “we worden omvolkt”. Dat is te zien en te horen op beelden van Nieuwsuur. Markuszower liep op 6 mei in Loosdrecht mee in een symbolische rouwstoet voor het verlies van de democratie. Een deel van het gesprek vindt plaats buiten beeld. Als de camera van Nieuwsuur draait naar Markuszower zegt hij duidelijk: “Maar ja, we worden omvolkt. Het is gewoon zo.” Nieuwsuur legde de uitspraak voor aan de oud-PVV’er. In een reactie zegt hij het woord ‘omvolking’ nooit “in publieke uitingen” te hebben gebruikt en noemt hij het “een destructief woord”. De omvolkingstheorie draait om het idee dat door een bewuste strategie van een elite, immigranten en vooral mensen van kleur de "blanke" westerse cultuur verdringen. De AIVD noemt dit een "feitelijk onjuiste complottheorie" en waarschuwde in 2017 voor de opkomst van aanhangers ervan.
