De politie heeft naar aanleiding van het nieuws over de aanhouding van Joannes B. nog meer meldingen binnengekregen over de invalkracht op kinderdagverblijven. Het gaat om ongeveer 20 meldingen. Dat zegt de officier van justitie vandaag op een eerste pro forma zitting. B. werd in november 2025 aangehouden voor een poging tot verkrachting van een 2-jarig meisje op een locatie van kinderopvang Partou in Amsterdam. De 66-jarige Joannes B. wordt op dit moment verdacht van zes feiten, waaronder het misbruiken van kinderen en het vervaardigen van kinderporno van een 3-jarig jongetje en een baby. Vandaag gaat het om vier kinderen. Daarnaast zijn er nog negen kinderen betrokken. Voor het merendeel geldt dat van hen naaktfoto’s zijn gemaakt waarop geen seksuele handelingen te zien zijn. De verdenkingen gaan over een periode van 7 januari 2024 en november 2025. Het Openbaar Ministerie laat vandaag weten dat er na berichtgeving in de media nog meer meldingen binnen zijn gekomen. De meldingen worden nu nagelopen. Joannes B. aanwezig Joannes B. was vandaag aanwezig bij een eerste zitting en kwam de zaal binnen in een lichtblauwe jas met zijn capuchon op. Op vragen van de rechtbank over de verdenking zegt hij: "Ik hoor het aan en het verrast mij hier en daar. De feiten zijn voor mij niet herkenbaar. Hoe dan ook wil ik over alle feiten met mijn advocaat van gedachten wisselen om te kijken wat daar de meest verstandige en eerlijke beantwoording op is." B. is aangehouden nadat een vader van een meisje van twee jaar aangifte had gedaan. Zijn dochtertje zat op 20 november vorig jaar bij de invalkracht op schoot, waarna hij haar zou hebben betast. Het gebeurde op de eerste dag dat de man als invalkracht werkzaam was bij het kinderdagverblijf in de stad. De rechtervleugel in de Tweede Kamer reageerde deze week woedend, toen een meerderheid in het parlement instemde met een korte onderbreking van een integratiedebat voor de iftar van Dogukan Ergin. Aanleiding was een verzoek van Ergin dat op vrijwel iedere werkvloer anno 2026 volstrekt normaal is: het Kamerlid van Denk vroeg maandagavond na zonsondergang om een korte schorsing van het debat om het vasten te breken. Een meerderheid van de aanwezigen in de commissievergadering stemde in met het verzoek. Van de aanwezige partijen waren alleen de PVV en JA21 tegen. Later schaarden onder meer de SGP, BBB, FvD en het lid Mona Keijzer — geen van allen aanwezig in de vergadering — zich in het kamp van de tegenstanders. ‘De SGP wil in beginsel respectvol zijn’, schrijft de partij in een reactie op X, ‘maar dit gaat te ver’. De onwil van het rechterdeel van de Tweede Kamer om het vergaderschema aan te passen aan de ramadan toont: ook in Nederland wordt de ruimte voor diversiteit steeds verder ingeperkt. Dat orthodoxe christenen zich steeds onverdraagzamer tonen, staat niet op zichzelf. Het was ook de week waarin voormalig BBB-minister Gouke Moes een rechtszaak tegen de staat aan omdat hij zich als ‘inheemse’ Nederlander bedreigde voelt door massa-immigratie. Ondertussen omschreef de Amerikaanse minister van Oorlog Pete Hegseth de oorlog tegen Iran omschreef als ‘een kruistocht’. Gelukkig is er ook hoop: in Den Haag kun je volgende week stemmen op de pro-multiculturele partij Drerrie! Met een onverbloemd positieve boodschap vieren de oprichters de diverse samenleving. This film was photographed by Bob Murray and Bob Grasso, with a script by Paul Burton, narrated by Matthew Warren, and features a song by the Sugar Bears. The Turbotrain was a concept tilting train that was developed on aerodynamic principles and powered by aircraft-type gas turbine engines that would allow it to achieve high speeds. The trains, which featured articulated cars and cabs on either end of the train, operated in Canada between 1968 and 1982 and in the USA between 1968 and 1976. The TurboTrain concept wasn't a complete failure, but it wasn't an enormous success either. The rise in oil prices during the 1973 oil embargo made the gas turbine expensive to operate, and the trains were complex and needed a great deal of maintenance. Notably, the trains also did not operate at anywhere near their anticipated speeds, were noisy and not altogether comfortable for passengers. Amtrak disposed of the trains in 1980, and Canada ceased operations in 1982. The tour ended on time, having traveled over 12,000 miles, visited 134 cities in 28 states and DC. 18:52: Hundreds of thousands of Americans saw the train. Ze lacht er verlegen bij als ze vertelt dat ze niet gaat stemmen. "Ik kan je niet zeggen waarom niet." Na wat doorvragen blijkt dat Verginia vroeger wel stemde, maar ermee is gestopt sinds ze met pensioen is. "Ook al stem je, alles blijft hetzelfde. " In het programma Waldy Hoort Stemmen bezoekt verslaggever Waldy van Geenen met een stembus verschillende buurten in de stad, om te peilen wat Amsterdammers deze gemeenteraadsverkiezingen gaan stemmen. In het buurtje in Bijlmer-Centrum tussen de Gooiseweg en Ganzenhoef wonen veel ouderen met hier en daar een jong gezin. Verginia (72) werkte vroeger als ondersteunend verpleegkundige in de zorg. Een erg rooskleurige kijk op haar persoonlijke situatie heeft ze niet bepaald. "Ik heb hard gewerkt in mijn tijd. Maar als ik erop terugkijk, had ik liever niet gewerkt en steungeld ontvangen." Volgens haar komt ze financieel wel rond, maar heeft ze het niet breed. "Ik heb zo lang gewerkt voor zo weinig." Bijlmer-Centrum heeft door de jaren heen van alle wijken in de stad altijd de laagste opkomst bij verkiezingen. De laatste gemeenteraadsverkiezingen in 2022 spande de kroon, toen ging maar 22% van de stemgerechtigden naar het stembureau. Van de mensen die wel gingen stemmen, deed een vijfde dat op BIJ1. De Bijlmer is bij uitstek het deel van de stad waar de partij goed scoort. Een paar maanden terug echter, zakte BIJ1 bij de Tweede Kamerverkiezingen weer terug naar 9%. GroenLinks-PvdA was toen veruit de grootste in Bijlmer-Centrum, met een kwart van alle stemmen. Iets meer richting de Bijlmerdreef doet Daphne Olivieira haar deur open om het gesprek aan te gaan. Zij hoeft niet meer na te denken over waarop zij gaat stemmen. "Ik stem op BIJ1. Zij hebben een programma dat vooral gericht is op mensen uit de Bijlmer en mensen van kleur. Ze richten zich op mensen die buiten de grote groep vallen." Zelf, als zwarte vrouw, zegt Olivieira zich niet onderdeel te voelen van de Nederlandse bevolking. "Mijn witte man heeft genoeg keuze qua partijen. Hij wordt goed vertegenwoordigd. BIJ1 is er voor mijn belangen." Verder noemt ze de wooncrisis als een van de belangrijke punten om te stemmen voor de partij met Tofik Dibi als lijsttrekker. "Ik heb volwassen kinderen, en die kunnen geen huis vinden in Zuidoost.
