Twee trainers ontslaan in één jaar tijd: het is de nieuwe realiteit bij Ajax. Na de buitengewone algemene vergadering van de aandeelhouders, ging het vandaag dan ook vooral over het pijnlijke ontslag van interim-trainer Fred Grim. Onder de Ajax-leden die we spreken is er begrip voor het ontslag, maar tegelijkertijd voelt het helemaal niet lekker dat er twee trainers in een seizoen zijn ontslagen. "Ja, het is pijnlijk. Het is niet waar Ajax voor staat. Maar bij Heitinga had ik al geen vertrouwen. Bij Grim begon het goed, maar het was gewoon niet meer te handhaven", vertelt een Ajax-lid. "Grim is iemand die altijd iets goed heeft gedaan bij Ajax en dat doet hij nu nog steeds", vertelt iemand anders.  Fred Grim blijft wel in dienst bij Ajax, hij keert terug naar zijn rol als hoofd coaching. Hij wist uiteindelijk slechts acht van de zeventien wedstrijden te winnen als hoofdtrainer. "Ik ben een voorstander van het ontslag. Er zat gewoon geen verbetering in", vertelt iemand anders na de vergadering.   In ieder geval tot het einde van het seizoen zal Jong Ajax-trainer Oscar García zijn taken overnemen. García werkte als trainer onder meer bij Brighton & Hove Albion, Red Bull Salzburg en Maccabi Tel Aviv. Opmerkelijk is wel dat hij in zijn loopbaan maar liefst zes keer vroegtijdig is ontslagen. "We doen nu net alsof we de messias hebben binnengehaald, omdat hij een paar goede wedstrijden heeft gehad bij Jong Ajax. Maar Ajax 1 is anders dan Jong Ajax", vertelt de kritische fan.  Bij de Buitengewone Algemene Vergadering van Aandeelhouders (BAVA) zijn voorzitter Lesley Bamberger, Anita Coronel, Marry de Gaay Fortman, Edo Ophof en Duncan Stutterheim aangesteld als nieuwe rvc-leden. Ook is Jordi Cruijff officieel benoemd als technisch directeur. Cruijff trad eerder al in dienst als titulair directeur, maar moest nog even officieel wachten tot hij benoemd kon worden tot statutair directeur van de club. Dat weerhield hem niet om al snel meerdere harde keuzes te maken. Cruijff ontsloeg namelijk een paar weken na zijn aanstelling de trainer van Jong Ajax en nu dus ook Fred Grim. Het is te hopen dat Garcia zo snel mogelijk punten gaat pakken. While Jewish neighborhoods are "well protected" by bomb shelters, shelters are much rarer in Palestinian neighborhoods within the highly segregated country, explains Israeli journalist Orly Noy. "This is the meaning of a supremacist, racist regime," she says. Noy, whose Iranian Jewish family immigrated to Israel during the 1979 Islamic Revolution, also points out that public focus on Iran has allowed the "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank to continue with minimal international outcry. This settler and soldier-led violence, coupled with Israel's ongoing restrictions and humanitarian aid, are "part of the continuing genocide, the infliction of measures and policies meant to bring about the physical destruction of Palestinians," says Amnesty International's Agnès Callamard. Bij voetbalclub Taba in Oost werd vanmiddag de 22-jarige Maxime Chervet herdacht. Hij overleed na een ski-ongeluk in Zwitserland. Maxime voetbalde iedere zondag bij Taba. Vandaag was de eerste wedstrijd zonder hem, die begon met een minuut stilte. Vanmiddag speelde het team van Maxime voor het eerst zonder hem, in een wedstrijd tegen Zeeburgia. Het was dan ook een beladen middag. Taba speelde met rouwbanden en er werd een minuut stilte gehouden. Ook werd stilgestaan bij wie Maxime was. ''Hij was echt een levensgenieter'', vertelt teamgenoot Ole. ''En dat proberen we nog steeds met z'n allen te doen. Van het leven genieten." "The war changed everything," says Iranian American political analyst Hooman Majd, who adds that Iran's leadership sees the conflict as "existential" and is therefore carrying out retaliatory attacks throughout the region to "make it painful economically and in many other ways for the United States and for Israel to continue the war." Meanwhile, preliminary investigations by _The New York Times_, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International indicate that the U.S. military carried out the strike on an elementary school in Minab, Iran, that killed over 100 young girls. "It is a war against people," says Amnesty International Secretary General Agnès Callamard, who is calling for the school massacre to be investigated as a war crime. "Iran is going to be changed forever," says Majd, rejecting claims from U.S. leaders that military intervention has created the conditions for a civilian uprising. "For them to be able to rise up and take control of the government is just a pipe dream. I mean, how are they supposed to do that when they're being killed or are running away from missiles almost on a daily basis?" As they grow, they must repeatedly shed their protective exoskeletons—a risky and often fatal process. Those that survive face continual threats, including predators and environmental hazards. Eventually, they reach adulthood and seek to reproduce, but even this instinct-driven quest involves danger, such as disorienting journeys over land. Zo is er een Feminist March en een door burgemeester Halsema georganiseerde vrouwenconferentie in Carré. De mars begint vanmiddag om 13.00 uur op de Dam. Daar wordt een podium neergezet voor de verschillende sprekers die daar op het programma staan. Vervolgens lopen alle demonstranten via het Rokin, de Vijzelstraat en de Weteringschans naar het Museumplein. De Feminist March duurt tot 16.00 uur. De mars is door verschillende non-profitorganisaties op poten gezet. Onder andere de Dolle Mina's, vakbond FNV en Amnesty International doen mee. "Deze dag is nog altijd hard nodig", is op de website van Amnesty te lezen. "Ook in Nederland valt nog een boel te winnen. Abortus staat hier nog in het wetboek van strafrecht en jaarlijks vermoorden tientallen mannen hun partner of ex. Dat accepteren we niet." Women Unite In Carré is er een door burgemeester Halsema mede-georganiseerde conferentie, genaamd 'Women Unite.' Ze doet dat samen met Madeleine van der Zwaan, algemeen directeur van Carré. Kaartjes voor de conferentie zijn inmiddels uitverkocht. "Deze conferentie onderzoekt de uitdagingen waar vrouwen vandaag de dag mee te maken hebben", staat er in de aankondigingstekst. "Tegelijkertijd vieren we de kracht en invloed van vrouwen die barrières doorbreken en verandering teweegbrengen." De conferentie begint om 11.45 uur en eindigt rond 17.00 uur. I scrape off most of the old paint then immerse the cover in Cellulose Thinners and clean the part thoroughly before giving it a coat of Etch Primer using my improvised table top spray booth. 24 hours later I paint the part using HMG C71 Satin Black. In een wooncomplex daar zijn verhoogde concentraties formaldehyde gemeten; in de portiek zelfs 2400 microgram per kubieke meter - twintig keer de norm. Isolatiebedrijf Takkenkamp denkt dat andere factoren een rol hebben gespeeld bij de metingen, en stelt dat de uitstoot bij juiste toepassing onder de norm blijft. Zij stellen dat alleen bij hun project in Dalfsen bewoners gezondheidsklachten hebben gekregen na isolatie. Maar ook in Capelle aan den IJssel, waar in 2019 UF-schuim is gebruikt door Takkenkamp, kregen bewoners gezondheidsklachten.
