Hij is blij dat zijn partij in elk geval geen voorstander meer is van het erotisch centrum, dat volgens de initiële plannen bij hem om de hoek zou komen. In het programma Waldy Hoort Stemmen bezoekt verslaggever Waldy van Geenen met een stembus verschillende buurten in de stad, om te peilen wat Amsterdammers deze gemeenteraadsverkiezingen gaan stemmen. In Buitenveldert-Oost is het rustig. Een slaapwijk noemen sommige bewoners het zelfs. Overdag is er bijna niemand op straat te vinden en dat moet zo blijven ook, vinden veel bewoners. De buurt stond een tijd terug op z'n achterste benen toen de gemeente deze wijk had uitverkoren als thuishaven van het zogeheten erotisch centrum. Om de binnenstad te ontlasten zouden sekswerkers, klanten en eventueel toeristen naar deze plek geleid moeten worden. Niet alleen Buitenveldert, maar ook mensen uit aangrenzende buurten kwamen in verweer. De volgende gemeenteraad moet uiteindelijk beslissen of het erotisch centrum er nou komt of niet. Misschien niet helemaal toevallig heeft D66 het centrum uit het verkiezingsprogramma geschrapt, en dat terwijl de partij de afgelopen vier jaar als besturende partij voorstander was. Volgens Davids is de zoektocht naar een plek voor een dergelijk centrum logisch. "We hebben een probleem in de binnenstad qua drukte. Ik snap dat ze alternatieven zoeken." Of hij er vertrouwen in heeft dat zijn partij bij de koerswijziging op dit punt blijft, reageert hij twijfelachtig. "Ik weet niet precies hoe het standpunt tot stand is gekomen, maar nu moeten ze er ook bij blijven. Ze hebben het nu beloofd." In 2022 stemde ruim een vijfde van de stemgerechtigden in Buitenveldert-Oost op de VVD. De vraag is of de partij dat kan herhalen, want bij de Tweede Kamerverkiezingen eind vorig jaar was D66 hier de grootste met 23%. Daarachter kwam de VVD met 20%. Through comparison with the modern television rotation we can see which brands made it out of the 1970’s and which went defunct such as Kal Kan Dog Food; swallowed up by Pedigree). Celebrities make cameos; Jack Nicklaus, OJ Simpson, Charlton Heston, Frank Perdue and the ever popular Aunt Bluebell (Mae Questel) for Scotts Towel. Viewers see fashion of the era; happy ladies wear Kiana Tunics. 00:00 red suited and blonde bobbed babe readying her daily caloric intake with Special K Kellogg cereal paired with skim milk for the light and fit look (:13). Na ruim vijf jaar is de restauratie van het aquarium in Artis bijna afgerond. De aquaria worden langzaam maar zeker gevuld met vissen. Ook deze week kwam er weer een grote lading van nieuwe vissen vanuit een dierentuin in Emmen. Via een speciaal dierentransport werden de gevlekte haai, krabben en zeesterren hun nieuwe verblijf binnengebracht. Vol spanning staat Alex Huiberse te wachten bij de poort van Artis. Er komt weer een bus vol met vissen voor in het gloednieuwe aquarium. Alex is de curator en bepaalt dus welke vissen waar komen. Het komt nauwelijks voor dat je als aquariaan carte blanche krijgt om een nieuw aquarium te ontwerpen. Het monumentale aquarium komt uit 1882 en is het oudste nog functionerende aquarium ter wereld. De renovatie was nodig omdat de oude betonnen aquaria in de grote hal lekten vanwege het zoute water. Het heeft wat mogen kosten: bijna 50 miljoen euro, de grootste en duurste renovatie in de geschiedenis van Artis. Huiberse begint samen met drie andere medewerkers snel de tonnen met vissen uit het busje te laden. Deze specifieke lading komt uit Emmen, ze zaten in het aquarium van dierentuin Wildlands. De kleinere vissen zitten in tonnen, de grote gevlekte haai – ongeveer een meter lang en daarmee een van de grootste dieren in het aquarium – zit in een grote kuip. In deze kuip moet de haai drie weken in quarantaine - Foto: AT5 Van de autoreis hebben de vissen weinig door, zegt Huiberse. "Het is een vrij grote kuip met veel water. Het is er ook donker en dat geeft rust. De haai zwemt rondjes, zoals normaal." Sommigen mogen niet direct de aquaria in, maar moeten eerst in quarantaine vanwege mogelijk virussen. De gevlekte gladde haai moet drie weken in quarantaine en kan dan ook even ontprikkelen van de verhuizing, stelt Huiberse. Daarna mag de haai naar zijn vaste verblijf in de grote hal van het aquarium. De komende weken worden de aquaria steeds verder gevuld met vissen en planten.
