They are believed to date to 1972 and show tests of the camera system known as "Trixie", takeoffs and landings (including drag parachute assisted landings). The Lockheed U-2, nicknamed "Dragon Lady", is an American single-jet engine, high altitude reconnaissance aircraft operated by the United States Air Force (USAF) and previously flown by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). It provides day and night, high-altitude (70,000 feet, 21,300 meters), all-weather intelligence gathering. Lockheed Corporation originally proposed it in 1953, it was approved in 1954, and its first test flight was in 1955. It was flown during the Cold War over the Soviet Union, China, Vietnam, and Cuba. In 1960, Gary Powers was shot down in a CIA U-2A over the Soviet Union by a surface-to-air missile (SAM). Major Rudolf Anderson Jr. was shot down in a U-2 during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. U-2s have taken part in post-Cold War conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, and supported several multinational NATO operations. The U-2 has also been used for electronic sensor research, satellite calibration, scientific research, and communications purposes. In Concerto gaven rappers van de Amerikaanse Wu-Tang Clan namelijk een signeersessie. Vanavond treden ze op in de Ziggo Dome.  "Wat is dit voor tiktok-rij?" Een nietsvermoedende man loopt dit rondje wel vaker tijdens lunchtijd, maar hoefde nooit ter hoogte van platenzaak Concerto een stukje op de rijbaan te lopen, omdat de stoep afgeladen is. Tientallen fans van de Amerikaanse rapformatie Wu-Tang Clan staan hier te wachten. Het zijn veelal mannen van middelbare leeftijd, TikTok zullen ze waarschijnlijk alleen van naam kennen. Ze waren pubers in de tijd dat Wu-Tang Clan opkwam en nu, zo'n 30 jaar later, is de formatie bezig aan waarschijnlijk de laatste tour: "The Final Chamber". Niet alle Wu-Tang-leden kwamen naar de platenzaak, maar rappers Ghostface Killah en Street Life (die officieel geen lid is van de groep), namen wel de moeite om platen te tekenen. "Wel maximaal twee platen per persoon", sommeert Ghostface als hij achter de signeertafel gaat zitten: "Anders moeten ze betalen." Niemand in de platenzaak die weet of hij een grap maakt of niet. Het tourleven bestaat voor veel artiesten uit niet veel meer dan tourbussen en concerthallen, maar toch hebben Ghostface en Street Life rondom eerdere concerten veel van de stad kunnen zien, vertellen ze in een kort vraaggesprek ("Maximaal drie vragen", zegt de tourmanager). "Nu hebben we nog weinig gezien", zegt Ghostface. "Gisteravond kwamen we aan en tot deze signeersessie zijn we nog niet naar buiten geweest. Maar ik heb Amsterdam al vaker gezien", aldus de rapper, die solo maar liefst 17 albums uitbracht. "Ik heb ook weleens over de Wallen gelopen", dan lachend, "maar ik ben toen niet naar binnen gegaan hoor." "Het voelt echt als een culturele melting pot hier, dat is cool", zegt Ghostface, die daarna ook de andere bekende dingen over Amsterdam ter sprake brengt. "Er zijn veel fietsen hier, veel wandelaars. Dat zie je niet veel in Amerika. Het zorgt er wel voor dat je eerder ergens naar binnen loopt." Bij die laatste zin moet Ghostface gelijk aan de verschillende coffeeshops in de stad denken. "Hoe heette die ene ook alweer?", vraagt Ghostface aan collega Street Life, die vervolgens antwoordt: "De Dampkring, die ene uit Oceans Eleven." Een 66-jarige invalkracht van kinderdagverblijf Partou is aangehouden op verdenking van poging tot verkrachting van een 2-jarig meisje. De man wordt bovendien verdacht van aanranding van een 13-jarige jongen en het vervaardigen van kinderporno van een 3-jarig jongetje en een baby. Uit onderzoek van het Openbaar Ministerie blijkt dat de man nog negen andere slachtoffers heeft gemaakt. De 66-jarige Joannes B. is aangehouden nadat een vader van een meisje van twee jaar aangifte had gedaan. Zijn dochtertje zat op 20 november vorig jaar bij de invalkracht op schoot, waarna hij haar zou hebben betast. Het gebeurde op de eerste dag dat de man als invalkracht werkzaam was bij het kinderdagverblijf in de stad. Een vaste medewerker van het kinderdagverblijf waar de man die dag werkzaam was, merkte het grensoverschrijdend gedrag op, schrijft een woordvoerder van Partou kinderopvang in een reactie. "Er is direct ingegrepen: de uitzendkracht is onmiddellijk van de groep gehaald en niet meer ingezet", schrijft woordvoerder Deirdre Bernard. "De situatie is dezelfde dag intern gemeld en de volgende dag formeel als incident geregistreerd. Op maandag is met de ouders van het betrokken kind gesproken. Zij hebben aangifte gedaan", aldus de woordvoerder. Twee dagen na de aangifte is de man in zijn woning in Almere aangehouden. Meerdere slachtoffers Naast de poging verkrachting van een 2-jarig meisje zou de man een 13-jarige jongen onzedelijk te hebben betast toen hij in januari 2024 aan de zorg van de verdachte was toevertrouwd. Op de tenlastelegging worden behalve deze twee zaken nog twee kinderen vermeld van wie de verdachte naaktfoto’s zou hebben gemaakt, een jongetje van drie jaar oud en een baby, zo schrijft het OM. Bij de doorzoeking van zijn woning zijn gegevensdragers in beslag genomen en werd een kindersekspop aangetroffen. De politie heeft de afgelopen drie maanden het beeldmateriaal bestudeerd en slachtoffers geïdentificeerd. De politie laat weten geen aanwijzingen te hebben dat er nog meer slachtoffers zijn. Volgens het OM zijn er geen aanwijzingen dat de man heeft samengewerkt met anderen. Ook zijn er geen aanwijzingen dat de man kinderporno zou hebben verspreidt. Vierogenprincipe Kinderopvang Partou zegt in een reactie dat op de locatie waar de man werkzaam was, net als op alle andere locaties, werd gewerkt volgens het vierogenprincipe. "Dat betekent dat medewerkers in principe nooit alleen en ongezien met kinderen werken. Er is altijd directe zicht- of hoorverbinding tussen collega’s." Het vierogenprincipe werd in 2013 ingevoerd bij kinderdagverblijven na het zedendelict bij kinderdagverblijf 't Hofnarretje dat in 2010 bekend werd. "Het is belangrijk dat het vierogenprincipe hier gewerkt heeft", zegt Gjalt Jellesma van de Belangenvereniging van Ouders in de Kinderopvang. "Er is direct ingegrepen en de meldcode is in gang gezet." Jellesma heeft lang gepleit voor de invoering van het vierogenprincipe bij kinderdagverblijven. Toch komt het nieuws voor hem ook als een schok. "Wat een verschrikking. Ik hoop dat de schade uiteindelijk zo klein mogelijk is." Burgemeester Femke Halsema laat in een reactie weten mee te leven met de slachtoffers en hun families. "De nachtmerrie van elke ouder. Samen met politie, OM en het Centrum Seksueel Geweld zullen we de komende periode waar gewenst ondersteuning bieden aan de betrokkenen. In het belang van de slachtoffers en hun familie vraag ik iedereen terughoudendheid te betrachten met delen van informatie over deze zaak" De advocaat van verdachte Joannes B. was vandaag nog niet bereikbaar. Volgende week woensdag is een eerste zitting in deze zaak.
