Bart De Wever bepleit in HJ Schoo-lezing nauwere Benelux-samenwerking De Benelux-landen moeten veel nauwer samenwerken. Deze oproep deed de Belgische premier Bart De Wever donderdagavond in de zeventiende HJ Schoo-lezing. Die samenwerking is ‘geen romantische droom of nostalgische gedachte, maar een politieke doelstelling die noodzakelijk is voor onze toekomst’, zei De Wever in de Rode Hoed in Amsterdam. De intieme samenwerking is volgens De Wever hard nodig. ‘Om de welvaart van onze Lage Landen te beschermen. Om onze macht en onze invloed binnen Europa te vergroten. En om deze macht en invloed aan te wenden voor het versterken van de krachten van vrede en vrijheid in de wereld.’ De Wever wil Benelux tot kloppend EU-hart maken Om dat doel te bereiken, wil hij artikel 350 van het EU-Werkingsverdrag inzetten. Dat geeft de Benelux de mogelijkheid om ‘sneller en dieper te integreren dan de Europese Unie zelf’. Volgens De Wever moet de Benelux van artikel 350 zijn slogan maken. ‘Op vlak van migratie, interne markt en strategische autonomie zijn onze belangen zo innig met elkaar verbonden, dat het eigenlijk een nalatigheid zou zijn om dat niet te doen.’ Zo kan de Benelux het ‘kloppende hart’ worden van de Europese Unie als handelsplaats van de wereld. De Wever pleit voor streng Europees asielbeleid Ook wil De Wever een nieuw asielsysteem op basis van vier uitgangspunten. Het belangrijkste punt is dat migranten die zonder toestemming Europese grond betreden, het recht verspillen om ooit nog Europees burger te worden. ‘Zij die erin slagen de EU zonder toelating fysiek te betreden, mogen nooit burgerschap verkrijgen. Ze mogen van Europa nooit hun thuis maken.’ Voor de omgang met migranten moeten in heel de Europese Unie gelijke toegangs- en terugkeerprocedures komen. Ook is betere samenwerking nodig tussen de EU-lidstaten op het gebied van justitie, veiligheid en sociale fraude. Daarnaast pleit De Wever voor een solidariteitsmechanisme om de asiellasten gelijk te verdelen. In deze Spots duiken we met de geboren en getogen Justin Amsterdam de avond én nacht in 🕺. We beginnen bij Justins favoriete café: café Marcella aan het Amstelveld. Hier is Justin overdag veel te vinden voor koffietjes en lunch, en in ‘t weekend voor een borrel (een "sterk Russisch water met veel verse limoen en een vleugje Sprite voor de smaak” om precies te zijn). 🍸 Na het ‘gieten en genieten’ gaan we via de sprookjesachtige Amsterdamse grachten richting ‘t Rembrandtplein, een plek waar Justin al van jongs af aan komt. Bijvoorbeeld bij Tante Roosje, waar ‘t eigenlijk altijd feest is. Daarna gaan we kroeghoppen: van café Los, via de Korte Reguliersdwarsstraat waar Justin ook graag bij Keetje Tippel en Bolle Jan komt, maar dit keer ff gaat buurten bij Bloemen Beppie. Daarna gaan we door naar de Reguliersdwarsstraat, een plek waar ‘t altijd gezellig is en Justin vaak in de SoHo te vinden is. We sluiten de avond volwaardig af en dat kan volgens Justin maar op één plek: de FEBO. ----------------------------------------------------- Wij zijn FC Centrum, een FanClub voor onze oude binnenstad.
