Begin by peeling the prawns and keeping the shells for the stock. 2. In a large heavy-based pot, add the oil and place over high heat. Once up to temperature, add the prawn shells and fry for 4-5 minutes before adding the chicken stock. Simmer for 30-40 minutes before straining and discarding the prawn shells. 3. While the stock is simmering, make the paste. In a mortar and pestle, combine the shallots, ginger, garlic, lemongrass, turmeric, and chillies, and grind into a smooth paste. 4. Place the stock pot back on the heat with some more oil and add the paste you just made. Sauté it, stirring constantly. Next, add the laksa paste and cook for another 7 minutes, stirring the whole time. 5. Add your prawn and chicken stock and bring to a simmer. Then add your palm sugar and coconut milk, being careful not to let the soup boil rapidly after adding the coconut milk. 6. Now add the chicken and gently poach; after 10 minutes, add the prawns and 1 minute later, the tofu puffs. 7. Check for seasoning and add fish sauce and lime juice to taste. 8. Pour the curry laksa over the noodles, ensuring you get chicken, tofu, and prawns in each bowl. 9. Garnish with bean sprouts, fresh coriander, crispy shallots, and a lime wedge.

The ultimate result was this article, published in the 2023 symposium issue of the Yale Journal of Law and the Humanities. It places the current fears over misinformation, disinformation, and conspiracy theories into historical context, by means of a comparison with the nineteenth century, and with the panics over conspiratorial and technological threats to "democracy" in the ante-bellum era. Specifically, it traces the dramatic career of the man that many saw as the pre-eminent American of his age -- the artist, inventor, and conspiracist, Samuel F. B. Morse -- who brought the abstract notion of "democracy" to life not only through his art, but more powerfully, through dire prophesies of foreign subversion. Sop Buntut Goreng (Fried Oxtail Soup) Ingredients - 1 oxtail, cut at all the joints - 6 cloves garlic - 1 brown onion, quartered - 8-12 cloves - 1 tbsp cinnamon powder - 2 tbsp sea salt, divided - 1 yellow capsicum, sliced - 300g (10.5 oz) snow peas, trimmed - 1 brown onion, sliced - 1 punnet cherry tomatoes - 300g (10.5 oz) flour - 1 tbsp garlic powder - 1 tbsp ground coriander - oil or tallow for frying Method 1. Begin by placing the oxtail into a pressure cooker along with the quartered onion, garlic, cloves, 1 tablespoon of salt, and cinnamon powder. Cover with water, secure the lid, and turn the heat to high. Once it reaches pressure, reduce the heat to medium and cook under high pressure for 40 minutes. 2. While the tails are cooking, prepare the flour mixture. In a bowl, mix together the flour, 1 tablespoon of salt, garlic powder, and ground coriander. 3. Once the tail has finished cooking, carefully release the pressure from the pressure cooker. Then, remove the oxtail from the pot and place it onto a rack to dry slightly. 4. Bring the stock in the pot back to a simmer and reduce by 1/4. Once reduced, add the capsicum, snow peas, cherry tomatoes, and sliced onions, and simmer for 5 minutes. 5. Dust the oxtail in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Fry the oxtail in tallow at 350°F (180°C) for 4-5 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. 6.
