The Mongol Conquests marked one of the most pivotal periods in medieval history, with one man at the center. Emperor Genghis Khan famously united the Mongol tribes and led them on a path of bloodthirsty conquest that spanned a century. He is known as a monster who massacred millions. The true legacy of Genghis Khan is much more complex. His strategic prowess, psychological warfare, and unique battlefield tactics enabled the Mongols to conquest much of 13th-century Asia with ease. The Mongol Empire's vast expansion was fueled by Genghis Khan's brilliant leadership. Welcome to Chronicle; your home for all things medieval history! Ingredients - 600ml cream (you want a high fat % one) - 0.5 tablespoon smoked sea salt (or any salt of your choice) Method 1. Pour the cream into a stand mixer and, with the whisk attached, whisk until you have very thick whipped cream, this will take about 8-10 minutes. 2. Remove the whisk attachment and add the paddle attachment and mix again for about 8-10 minutes or until the mixture separates into butter and buttermilk. 3. Press together the butter (and keep the buttermilk for weekend pancakes). Rinse the butter in ice-cold water 3 times before you season it with salt. 4. Then wrap it in paper and keep it in the fridge until you need it. It will last a week no problem!

Are people allowed to burn the #Quran? Quran burnings in Sweden are currently making headlines, and have been for months. The controversy has had major political consequences. Diplomatic relations between Sweden and countries with large Muslim populations are tense. The terrorist threat in Sweden has been elevated to level four, and Muslim people around the world are demonstrating against Quran burnings. Now Al Qaida has called for attacks on Swedish embassies around the around. But what’s even going on there? How did the situation escalate so much, and why are Quran being burned in Sweden of all places? Is this still a part of freedom of expression or is a ban necessary? Because a ban is exactly what’s being proposed in Denmark: burning a holy text could land you in jail for up to two years if the bill becomes law. In our explanation series “Done Differently” we look at how current events that are important to you are discussed in other places. This time we look at what the consequences of the Quran burnings will have and what young people in Europe think about the topic. Chapters: 00:00 Book burnings and Quran burnings 00:44 What’s going on in Sweden right now? 01:59 How it all started 05:09 Should Quran burnings be banned? 06:02 How things will go in the future? ------------------ ENTR. ClassicalGuitarShed.com can help you on the journey. If you want to rise to new levels in your playing, it just takes time and strategic work. To play classical guitar well, you need to know: * how to hold and touch the guitar - form and positioning * how to move your fingers and hands - efficient, clean, and fluid * how to learn pieces - reading music, understanding what you see, ingraining, polishing * how to craft the music so it is beautiful - swells and fades, rhythm, touch * how to practice so all these skills improve over time and don't go away At the root of beautiful playing is a solid technique (aka “the way your hands move”). You may have beautiful music in your head, but if your hands can't play it, it won't come out of the guitar. But bad technique puts a limit on your playing. Speed, tone quality, and control can suffer. Good technique gets stronger and more instinctive with every practice. It forms the bedrock foundation for your music. And you may want to understand music so you learn it more easily and it makes more sense. This can help you avoid the excess frustration and dismay that comes with shoddy practice and prolonged confusion. But playing the notes is not enough. Like an actor bring words to life, we breathe life into our pieces. And we can do this in an organized way, day in and day out, reliably. Great musicians can play wonderfully in any mood. They do not rely on emotions. Instead, they create music that affects our emotions. This is a trained skill, not an inborn talent. Playing classical guitar is a long-term study. It's something we do in our homes as part of our days. We play for ourselves, for the quality it adds to life. We may enjoy playing guitar for others, but most of the time we are alone with our work. There are methods and formulas for great practice. We can use our time well so that see more progress. We can fix the problems and erase the mistakes. And we can enjoy conquering the plentiful challenges that classical guitar music offers. If you plan to play classical guitar for any length of time, it is worth it to get help. It's not something we can do on our own, like folk music. I have a structured and organized course to help you play classical guitar. The event was triggered by an earthquake a year earlier in San Francisco and a failed short squeeze in United Copper stock by Fritz Augustus Heinze and Charles W Morse. J. Pierpont Morgan famously took action to bring the business community together to save the US economy from collapse. The panic of 1907 was the crisis led to the creation of the Federal Reserve System. It's a time when it's believed that restless ghosts roam the earth. During this festival, people pay homage to these deceased ancestors and other wandering spirits, seeking to appease them. Families often prepare offerings of food and drink, and make ritualized items such as joss paper (hell money) and incense to honor the departed souls. These offerings are meant to satisfy the 'hungry ghosts,' preventing them from bringing misfortune to the living. Performances, including opera and puppet shows, are held to entertain both the living and the spiritual guests. Bibliography: Stephen Teiser, "The Ghost Festival in Medieval China," 1988.
