Celebrated as being one of the best naive artists, Henri Rousseau's best-known works are lush jungle scenes, inspired not by any firsthand experiences of such far-away places, but by frequent trips to the Paris gardens and zoo as the artist never actually left France. This live dig centers on a ruined Norman church on a hill in Norfolk. This National Trust site promises to be the richest source of finds that Time Team has yet seen, with previous evidence of human occupation from most periods in antiquity. This requires several trenches, including the longest one that Time Team has ever dug. They start with some fieldwalking and metal detecting, before digging in earnest. Among many finds are a bronze age arrow head, a medieval tiled floor, coins, and several well-preserved skeletons. One skull shows clear evidence of having been brutally slaughtered by a swordsman on horseback. The team is joined by Helen Geake, Neil Holbrook, Andrew Rogerson, pottery expert Paul Blinkhorn, osteoarchaeologist Margaret Cox, and historian John Blair. Celebrities Sandi Toksvig and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall also drop in. Hugh and Victor help Saxon re-enactor Russell Scott to recreate a bronze artifact from scratch. Since sedentism, we have altered the earth so much that more and more scientists say a new name is required for this geological era – the anthropocene, the human epoch. During the course of the millennia, the basis of our nutrition increasingly became agriculture, to the detriment of the soil. Industrialised agriculture and migration of plants caused by humans have led to noticeable changes to nature and are having severe consequences. --- Welcome to the official Get.factual youtube channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature. What's the difference between playing and practicing? If you're playing, you're probably playing a piece of music. You're enjoying being musical. You might play it from start to finish. Many of us play like this all the time and call it practicing. It is not. When we practice, we should be actively seeking to improve. We want to be building new skills and shoring-up weaknesses. We can only play well because we practice. So mindful practice is the best way forward. #GuitarPractice #GuitarPlaying #PlayingVsPractice #CallItLikeItIs #ClassicalGuitar #LearnGuitar #Guitarist #AcousticGuitar #FingerstyleGuitar #GuitarTips #GuitarLife #Focus #Improve #GuitarJourney #LoveYourPlaying #GuitarSkills #GuitarLover #GuitarProgress #GuitarMastery

ClassicalGuitarShed.com can help you on the journey. If you want to rise to new levels in your playing, it just takes time and strategic work. To play classical guitar well, you need to know: * how to hold and touch the guitar - form and positioning * how to move your fingers and hands - efficient, clean, and fluid * how to learn pieces - reading music, understanding what you see, ingraining, polishing * how to craft the music so it is beautiful - swells and fades, rhythm, touch * how to practice so all these skills improve over time and don't go away At the root of beautiful playing is a solid technique (aka “the way your hands move”). You may have beautiful music in your head, but if your hands can't play it, it won't come out of the guitar. But bad technique puts a limit on your playing. Speed, tone quality, and control can suffer. Good technique gets stronger and more instinctive with every practice. It forms the bedrock foundation for your music. And you may want to understand music so you learn it more easily and it makes more sense. This can help you avoid the excess frustration and dismay that comes with shoddy practice and prolonged confusion. But playing the notes is not enough. Like an actor bring words to life, we breathe life into our pieces. And we can do this in an organized way, day in and day out, reliably. Great musicians can play wonderfully in any mood. They do not rely on emotions. Instead, they create music that affects our emotions. This is a trained skill, not an inborn talent. Playing classical guitar is a long-term study. It's something we do in our homes as part of our days. We play for ourselves, for the quality it adds to life. We may enjoy playing guitar for others, but most of the time we are alone with our work. There are methods and formulas for great practice. We can use our time well so that see more progress. We can fix the problems and erase the mistakes. And we can enjoy conquering the plentiful challenges that classical guitar music offers. If you plan to play classical guitar for any length of time, it is worth it to get help. It's not something we can do on our own, like folk music. I have a structured and organized course to help you play classical guitar. If you like, you can learn more here: https://classicalguitarshed.com/membership/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=Benedict_Carnival_of_Venice_Free_Classical_Guitar_Sheet_Music&utm_content=9xeRjiCCZSU If you would like to hear me (Allen Mathews) playing, visit my other youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/allenmathews/

This video responds to a viewer's questions on the history of America from the first migrations approx. 20,000 years ago to the reasons for European settlement, and all the way to the current challenges of redefining America's place in the multipolar world. Thanks to viewer, YourIgnoranceisBliss @Speaktruthordontspeak for these great questions. 1. Who was native to America before colonialism? (The debate is ongoing here) 2.Why did Europeans settle in America? Real reasoning for separating (some countries say religious freedom/ some say extremism) 3. What was the role America played in WW2? How was it settled? Did America glorify themselves? Or… something naughty?.. 4. Is America the bully? 5. Is an one world organization reasonable? Nato? WEF? 6. How can we open the minds of Americans to the multi-polar world? 7. Is western culture appropriate to other cultures/civilizations? 8. Would America be considered racist? Biden hasn’t had the best speeches. Why do we worry when we think we've fallen behind in our guitar practice? We don't fall behind in our reading. We read a book when we want to. So don't beat yourself up when you haven't practiced one day. You're moving forward every time you play. Learning guitar takes as long as it takes. There's no such thing as "behind." #NoSuchThingAsBehind #DontFret #NoWorries #GuitarLife #GuitarJourney #GuitarLover #GuitarGoals #LearnGuitar #ClassicalGuitar #GuitarTips #AsLongAsItTakes #GuitarInspiration #GuitarProgress #GuitarTeacher

It's natural for some nerves to kick in when you perform on your guitar. To overcome this, replicate the situation. For instance, if you're breathless and sweaty from a work-out, pick up your guitar. Get used to playing with a racing pulse, or shaky fingers. Train yourself to be your best when you're at your worst. Knowing what to expect - and how to manage it - is the key to a relaxed performance. #StevenKotler #BeYourBest #OvercomeNerves #ClassicalGuitar #GuitarTips #MusicEducation #GuitarSkills #GuitarExercises #PerformancePractice #GuitarGoals #GuitarMastery #ShakyFingers #RacingPulse #GuitarPerspiration

Most people see fish like they do vegetables, a readily available food source. But fish are so much more. They’re builders, athletes, mountaineers, even role-model fathers. They have endless energy to fight for life and race for future generations. They feed the planet. Not just the human population, but entire ecosystems. Following their scaly trail for a year, this is their story. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual youtube channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature.
