It means cutting out distractions and going into self-isolation to become more productive. It’s supposedly based on science and particularly concerned with avoiding social media, because that’s addictive. But can social media really be addictive? Does the monk mode work? And what’s the science behind it? In this video, we'll sort it out. 👉 Transcript and References on Patreon ➜ https://www.patreon.com/Sabine 📩 Sign up for my weekly science newsletter. Does power dissipated in a resistor increases or decreases with resistance? There are two formula for power dissipated. P = V^2/R and P = I^2 R. One says power dissipated is directly proportional to resistance while the other says it's inversely proportional to resistance. So, if the resistance of the circuit increases, what happens to the power dissipated? ================================================ Follow me at Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/maheshshenoyteaches/ ================================================ Support me and learn more physics at the same time by enrolling in my Udemy course https://www.udemy.com/course/become1dkinematicsmaster/ https://www.udemy.com/course/becomeakinematics2dmaster/ ================================================

Bank collapses in America and Europe may be a sign of financial and political crises to come. Or they may just be the result of a bank run by idiots. Will the recent collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and Credit Suisse Bank lead to a replay of the 2008 financial crisis? Will our leaders learn the lessons of history from the series of financial crises since 1998? Will they stay calm in the crisis, or will bad money spread like a contagion into failing democracies? This episode discusses: - the significance of the recent bank collapses in Europe and America, and what exactly happened? - the lessons of history for how governments respond to financial crises and how they spread into political crises - the best historian to follow if you want to understand financial crises and their links to the crisis of the multipolar world, Adam Tooze Full details about the material referred to during this show can be obtained from my free weekly newsletter that you can subscribe to at jeffrich.substack.com.

Cézanne associated with the Impressionists, but always had other aims. He said that his ambition was to 'make of Impressionism something solid and durable like the art of museums'. Cézanne's work was discovered by the Paris avant-garde during the 1890s. It had a significant influence on Picasso and the development of 20th-century art, but it wasn't until his final years did Cézanne's art reach the "promised land". 🚢 The Future of Superships & China’s Grip on Global Trade! 🚢 Ships transport 90% of the world’s goods, making global trade entirely dependent on these giants of the sea. Just how deep are China’s ties to global shipping? 🌎 This documentary takes you on an exclusive journey from a shipyard in China, where massive cargo vessels are built, to Rotterdam’s high-tech automated terminal, and even aboard the ALP Striker, the most powerful oceangoing tug in the world. Along the way, we explore the future of shipping, from wind-powered cargo ships to cutting-edge designs using hydrogen and LNG (liquefied natural gas). As international trade faces political tensions, environmental challenges, and groundbreaking innovation, where will these superships take us next? In the 12th century, many towns were designed and laid out on regular lines. The people of Plympton believe there is enough evidence to plot the layout of the medieval town which surrounds the ruins of their castle, which was formerly owned by the immensely powerful and wealthy de Redvers family. As usual, Time Team have three days to find it. Back gardens and interiors will provide the clues, rather than frontages which have probably been altered many times in the last 800 years. So they will need plenty of help from local householders. They are joined by Plymouth city archaeologist Keith Ray and dendrochronologist Robert Howard. When you play your guitar fast, the speed creates the illusion of perfection. You think you're playing brilliantly because you're playing fast. But the speed glosses over the imperfections. Your playing is not perfect, but you think it is. You don't hear the buzzes, the clicks, or the timing's wrong. You've been tricked. Instead, it's much better to practice slowly. Take it slower, and you can be sure of the rhythm, the notes, and the placement of your fingers. Then when you're up to speed, your playing will be precise. So don't be drawn in by the illusion. #classicalguitarshed #guitar #classicalguitar #music #guitartips #guitarlife #guitarlove #learnguitar #guitarplayer #dontfret #guitarmastery #easyguitar #guitarenjoyment #adultbeginner #guitarmindset #speedtrick #illusionofperfection #practiceslowly

South of Hannover, along the Leine valley and below a true fairy-tale castle, the Marienburg, stretches a mosaic of fields, meadows, ponds and forests. A place for many animal and plant species that are becoming increasingly rare in northern Germany. Wildlife filmmakers Svenja and Ralph Schieke followed wild boar through the forest, watched fire salamanders giving birth and common kestrels hunting. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual youtube channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature.
