China has significantly expanded its bailout lending as its Belt and Road Initiative blows up following a series of debt write-offs, scandal-ridden projects and allegations of corruption according to a new paper "China as an International Lender of Last Resort" by Sebastian Horn of the World Bank; Brad Parks, a research professor at William & Mary University; Harvard’s Carmen Reinhart; and Christoph Trebesch, a director at the Kiel Institute. The researchers found 128 bailout loans worth $240 billion dollars to 20 countries between 2000 and 2021. The vast majority were extended over the last five years, and almost half happened in 2019-2021. Moreover, the researchers found that People’s Bank of China swap lines are far more meaningful than direct loans. Hesitation is the sound of fear. So take this tip. When you're playing your guitar - in practice or in concert - go for it. Don't hesitate as you reach that big shift. A cautious approach creates tension. But if you trust in yourself, and make that leap without hesitating, you're more likely to get it right. Turn fear into a leap of faith. #GoForItAnyway #ClassicalGuitar #Faith #LeapOfFaith #LearnGuitar #GuitarInspiration #GuitarJourney #DontHesitate #GuitarSkills #OwnTheShift #GuitarProgress #GuitarMastery #GuitarGoals #ClassicalGuitarLife

Does glueing yourself to the street help achieve climate goals? The types of protest used by the group "Last Generation" are controversial and often trigger heated debates. The two sides are usually clear: "Politicians" vs "Climate activists" but is that really the case? What happens when two people who are or were involved in #climateprotests talk? Is it a clash of two world views? In the Moodring, two people who would probably not have met in real life sit down to talk. They are confronted with statements to which they react on the spot. Their reaction determines the lighting: red when they agree and blue when they disagree. #Entr #DW #ClimateProtest Guests: Aimée from Berlin, Germany Cedric from Bonn, Germany CHAPTERS: 00:00 Intro 00:23 Aimée & Cedric - who are you? 00:56 Glueing oneself to the streets distracts from the real climate goals. 03:39: Initiatives like glueing oneself to the streets affect the wrong people. 07:48: Politicians aren’t doing enough to stop the climate crisis 09:36 Conclusion CREDITS: Author: Nele Schmidt Editing Lead: Lukas Hansen Camera: Lars Bäßler, Neven Hillebrands Editing: Mathias Wolff Voices: Kimberley Gill, Madeleine Pitt, Paul Jäger Set Design: Neven Hillebrands Format Development: Alina Fichter, Lukas Hansen, Robin Marx, A.K. ClassicalGuitarShed.com can help you on the journey. If you want to rise to new levels in your playing, it just takes time and strategic work. To play classical guitar well, you need to know: * how to hold and touch the guitar - form and positioning * how to move your fingers and hands - efficient, clean, and fluid * how to learn pieces - reading music, understanding what you see, ingraining, polishing * how to craft the music so it is beautiful - swells and fades, rhythm, touch * how to practice so all these skills improve over time and don't go away At the root of beautiful playing is a solid technique (aka “the way your hands move”). You may have beautiful music in your head, but if your hands can't play it, it won't come out of the guitar. But bad technique puts a limit on your playing. Speed, tone quality, and control can suffer. Good technique gets stronger and more instinctive with every practice. It forms the bedrock foundation for your music. And you may want to understand music so you learn it more easily and it makes more sense. This can help you avoid the excess frustration and dismay that comes with shoddy practice and prolonged confusion. But playing the notes is not enough. Like an actor bring words to life, we breathe life into our pieces. And we can do this in an organized way, day in and day out, reliably. Great musicians can play wonderfully in any mood. They do not rely on emotions. Instead, they create music that affects our emotions. This is a trained skill, not an inborn talent. Playing classical guitar is a long-term study. It's something we do in our homes as part of our days. We play for ourselves, for the quality it adds to life. We may enjoy playing guitar for others, but most of the time we are alone with our work. There are methods and formulas for great practice. We can use our time well so that see more progress. We can fix the problems and erase the mistakes. And we can enjoy conquering the plentiful challenges that classical guitar music offers. If you plan to play classical guitar for any length of time, it is worth it to get help. It's not something we can do on our own, like folk music. I have a structured and organized course to help you play classical guitar. If you like, you can learn more here: https://classicalguitarshed.com/membership/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=Maurice_Ravel_Bolero_free_sheet_music&utm_content=RhoaHOOiqOM If you would like to hear me (Allen Mathews) playing, visit my other youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/allenmathews/

Produced by the Wolverine Toy Company of Pittsburgh in the 1950s and marketed as a children's toy, this is a very basic mechanical calculator based on a simple stepped gear mechanism, and is capable only of addition. Nonetheless, it is a good introduction to the design of mechanical calculators, which became very sophisticated before the advent of electronics.

Your brain can be fooled into working harder. Here's how. Every time you start to play a new piece of guitar music, tell yourself you're going to memorize it. Pretend you're going to be tested on it later. Even if you never really intend to play it from memory, kid yourself that you will. If your brain thinks you want to memorize a passage, it perks up. It starts looking for connections. It learns faster. So if you start a piece without the intention to memorize it, you're missing a trick. #classicalguitarshed #guitar #classicalguitar #music #guitartips #guitarlife #guitarlove #learnguitar #guitarplayer #dontfret #guitarmastery #easyguitar #guitarenjoyment #adultbeginner #guitarmindset #practice #learnfaster #kidyourbrain #pretendtomemorize #asgoodasmemorizingit

Peter Schiff is a notable economic forecaster and investment advisor who is best known for accurately forecasting the 2008 financial crisis. Peter along with Cyrus Janssen and Alex ( Reporterfy Media) will join together for an excitinig 1 hour Live Stream to speak about the situation. China could potentially play a role in the US economy if they decide to invest in or offer financial assistance to the US government or American companies. China is one of the largest holders of US debt and has significant financial resources that could be used to help support the US economy. However, any decision by China to provide aid to the US would likely be motivated by a variety of factors, including economic considerations, political considerations, and the state of US-China relations. It is also worth noting that any such assistance from China could come with strings attached, such as demands for increased access to the US market or other concessions. Ultimately, the relationship between the US and China is complex, and it is difficult to predict how it will play out in the context of the US economy. It will likely depend on a variety of factors, including the actions of both governments and the broader global economic environment.

Let's imagine two engines made from the same parts. They have the same crankshaft, the same piston, the same wrist pin and the same connecting rod. The only difference between them is that this engine has the cylinder center offset from the crankshaft center whereas in this engine they are perfectly aligned. If you observe these two engines in rotation you can see that they do the same thing. The crankshaft rotates, the piston reciprocates, the rod does it’s own thing. However this is nothing other than a superficial illusion, because this little offset actually changes everything. Despite being made from the same parts these two engines are fundamentally different. The cylinder offset impacts power and efficiency as well as engine size, it dramatically influences engine balance and it disrupts the length and duration of the piston strokes. And in this video we will explain how and why all of this happens and why many recent engines employ an offset cylinder configuration. We will start simple and then gradually increase the level of mind-bogglingness until you get completely sick and disgusted of looking at these two engines and close this video. Let’s see how long you can last. So let’s start easy. Heres’ the first fact: The offset cylinder engine makes more power and is more efficient. Why? Let’s imagine that both pistons are just a bit past the start of the combustion event So we have combustion pressure building inside the chamber resulting in massive forces pushing down on the piston. But the piston is obviously connected to the crankshaft via a wrist pin which means that the piston also pushes down on the rod and then the rod pushes down on the crankshaft. The problem lies in the fact that the rod is inclined at a certain angle. The downward force exerted on the rod is directed at the small end of the rod, meaning that this force is actually trying to spin the rod or flip it over if you will. As the rod tries to flip over it ends up pushing the piston against the cylinder wall which increases friction. The sharper the angle of the rod the harder the rod pushes the piston into the cylinder wall and the greater the friction. As you can see the offset cylinder allows us to noticeably reduce the angle of the rod which reduces friction. Reduced friction means that less of the energy generated by the engine gets wasted on friction which means that there’s more available to be converted into usable work a.k.a power. Next up let’s talk about size. Yamaha on their website claim that an offset cylinder engine is more compact. Now this isn’t a lie per se, but this statement is only true under certain conditions. As you can see in our example both engines are of the same size. In fact the offset actually makes this engine wider overall. So why did Yamaha say this? Well they said it because the only other way to reduce cylinder friction is to make the connecting rod longer. As you can see if we make a zero offset engine with a longer rod the resulting rod angle ends up being noticeably reduced which leads to reduced friction, however the a longer rod obviously leads to a much taller engine. So basically what Yamaha is trying to say is that a zero cylinder offset engine can’t have reduced friction without being taller because of its increased rod length. So the offset cylinder engine is only more compact than when compared against a zero offset engine with a longer rod. Now let’s address something that you have probably already noticed. The offset cylinder engine obviously has a longer stroke. How is this possible if the crankshaft is the same? As we know, an engine’s stroke or the distance the piston travels from top dead center to bottom dead center is determined by the length of the crankshaft throw or the distance between the center of the main journal and the rod journal. This distance is what determines the diameter of the imaginary circle drawn by the crankshaft during rotation and the distance between these two points on the circle ends up being the stroke of the piston. On the offset engine bottom dead center is here. As you can see the line which connects the crankshaft with the piston is obviously longer in the case of the offset engine because this line is at an angle. Now what connects the piston to the crankshaft is obviously the connecting rod which means that in order to retain the same stroke the offset engine would have to employ a longer rod. If you keep the rod length the same it means that this line is forced to become shorter which pulls down the piston an additional distance which increases stroke. 00:00 Power and efficiency 03:31 Stroke length 05:35 Unequal strokes 15:06 Balance A special thank you to my patrons: Daniel Pepe Brian Alvarez Peter Della Flora Dave Westwood Joe C Zwoa Meda Beda Toma Marini Cole Philips #d4a #cylinderoffset #enginebalance
