These cars are so advanced they’re practically spaceships. Here's how they work. If you're curious about more, watch my full video: https://youtu.be/SSdsncLXLYs Think of an F1 car like an airplane upside down. Both built to move as quickly through the air as possible. But where a plane’s wings work to lift it up, these car’s wings work to keep it down. This video looks at the how Western plans for an American led uniploar rules--based order collpased after 1989. Dreams of a single world order have been the ambitions of world conquerors, but have never succeeded. This is the true history set out in John Darwin, After Tamerlane that geopolitical strategists of the West did not comprehend. There are many big ideas about Civilization - Oswald Spengler and the Decline of the West, Arnold Toynbee and the Study of History, Kenneth Clark and Civilization, and Simon Schama's recent reworking of the TV series. They often refer to the cradle of civilization in ancient Mesopotamia. But there are many more cradles of civilization than you might first think - including in the ice and tundra of Northern Eurasia. This video is one in a playlist that sets out the innovative idea of civilizations as a relationship between human societies to their diverse environments. It is drawn from Felipe Fernàndez-Armesto's Civilizations - which you can buy here https://amzn.to/3UxqAj9. Please subscribe to my channel for more videos on history, culture and geopolitics. Here's a way to triple the power of your slur practice. Triplets. If you already practice classical guitar hammer-ons and pull-offs, try this extra trick. Combine the two to make three-note slurs. It will quickly supercharge your technique. Just remember to keep your form good and your rhythm super-steady. #classicalguitarshed #guitar #classicalguitar #music #guitartips #practicetip #technique #idealpractice #slurs #triplets #hammer-ons #pull-offs #powerslurs
Have you ever wondered what it's like to live in Greenland? The largest island in the world - and yet with so few inhabitants. Isolated from the rest of the world with a controversial connection to Europe, that is Greenland. Three young Greenlanders told us about their connection to their home country and the still closely interwoven Denmark. Take a look! *Additional info: Greenland’s education system is one of its main ties to Denmark today. All levels of education are offered in Greenland, but it’s common that Greenlanders take 10th grade in Denmark at residential boarding schools, called efterskole. There is only one university in Greenland’s capital, Ilisimatusarfik, whose fields of study are humanities-focused. Studying medicine, engineering, art, or pursuing practical vocations still require leaving the country. Goddelijk. Hydraulic fracturing - "fracking" - has made it possible to get and burn much more oil and gas. And that has a cost that we’re more and more aware of. Now, engineers are using the technologies developed and perfected for fracking to get much more CLEAN energy out of the ground... This is enhanced geothermal. However, Linear cities have been around for more than a hundred years, yet they are rarely built. Why not? Why are lines not considered great shapes for cities? From poor access to public transportation to a lack of social cohesion, linear cities can suffer from a number of issues that make them less livable than more traditional, compact urban forms. Former German MP and MEP Fabio de Masi who helped us take the ECB to court over #TheGreekFiles, explains why their attempt to intimidate us with a charge of close to €20,000 in “legal fees” matters. Help us fight back by donating and signing our petition below: Sign this petition: https://internal.diem25.org/en/petitions/86 Donate: https://i.diem25.org/en/donations/to/petition86 MORE INFORMATION In 2015, the European Central Bank (ECB) forced Greece’s banks to close as part of the Troika’s attempt to intimidate the newly-elected Greek government into abandoning what it had been voted in to do: renegotiate the country’s public debt, fiscal policy and reform agenda. We know the ECB commissioned a legal opinion on the legality of those actions. And we want to see that opinion, but the ECB refuses to make it public. The ECB has the exorbitant power to close down a Eurozone country’s banks. Exercising this power with decisions made behind closed doors by unelected officials is inconsistent with European democracy. The least Europeans can expect is access to legal opinions that they have paid for regarding the exercise of the ECB’s power. In 2017, Yanis Varoufakis (DiEM25 / MeRA25 Greece) – Greece’s finance minister at the time the opinion was commissioned – and then-MEP Fabio de Masi (GUE/NGL), supported by a broad alliance of politicians and academics, filed a mass freedom of information request to the ECB to get this opinion. When they refused to release it on “confidentiality grounds”, we took them to the European courts. To this day, the ECB hasn’t made that legal opinion public. Not only that – it is now demanding over €20.000 in legal fees from us, as a clear warning to anyone who dares request information that should be accessible to all Europeans in the first place. We won’t be intimidated: our response is to renew our call for the ECB to release #TheGreekFiles! By signing our petition, you are helping us put a simple question to the ECB: if you acted legally, why don’t you release the legal opinion regarding your actions? Most of them are gimmicks, but it doesn’t feel like a huge leap to imagine people going from N95s to a higher tech personal air purifier. This is "my favorite weird tech". This video looks at Samuel Huntington's 1994 classic Clashes of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order. How does it fit into how historians have told the stories of civilizations and the Rise of the West. Disorders of stomach secretion were revolutionized at the discovery of proton pump inhibitor therapy. For example, treatment of peptic ulcer disease before 1989 sometimes would be surgery. On a less severe scale, heartburn sometimes happen spontaneously, but is there something we could just change without any other intervention if it appears often? Maybe. PPI's profoundly increase stomach acid levels, so evidence for limiting proton pump activity as a way to control stomach acid is plausible, but we likely cannot and should not completely eliminate dietary potassium intake. However limiting it for a time may be help. What is the the best translator device on the market or the best language Translator when you need to speak to someone in a foreign language? In today's video I'm giving you a full translator device review of the Timekettle Translator Earbuds. As the pioneer of AI translator earbuds, Timekettle has transformed the world of cross-language communication since its existence in 2016. HybridComm™ is what makes Timekettle competitive on the market. It subverts the shackles of conventional translation products such as translation apps and hand-held AI translators by adopting an entirely different technical structure to advance our product in speech processing, simultaneous interpretation, and AI translation. Our HybridComm™ system consists of THREE technological advancements: 1. BoostClean Speech Technology (TWO PARTS) Our VNR (Vector Noise Reduction) technology secures the sound source to be recognized only from the direction of your mouth, and we artificially fix the recording distance of the sound source. Hence, our product can record the user’s voices clearly in their complete form, while eliminating the noise and interference affecting the conversation. Our RNNVAD voice recognition algorithm automatically segments any sentences to ensure they are translated logically. In addition, after a substantial amount of AI training (length of product usage), the product will pick up only human voices to ensure the segmentation of sentences and the translation (as results) are more accurate over time. 2. TurboFast SI Technology We are the first and only company that successfully made receiving and sending of signals via Bluetooth possible. This technological breakthrough laid the foundation for our simultaneous interpretation experience in which our products can record, translate, and playback, all at the same time. Data has shown our Simultaneous Interpretation Technology increased communication efficiency by up to 200% faster (more fluent). 3. UniSmart AITP (AI Translation Platform) Our exclusive translation solution is built on a global low-latency adaptive cloud platform with multiple servers and accelerators. We integrated the world’s top translation engines that allow our products to support more than 110 languages in over 40 countries. It is one of the most accurate and stable solutions in the world. -------------------------- Grab your own Timekettle Translation Earpods today and save 15% off using the code "CYRUSJAN15" ✅ Amazon: https://amz.run/6IOc ✅ Official Website: https://bityl.co/GagO -------------------------- Join this channel to get access to perks: ✅ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxEQsjgRRfGWiJJu_PDygxw/join -------------------------- If you'd like to support the channel / 如果你想支持我的频道: 🅿️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/cyrusjanssen ☕ Buy me a Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/cyrusjanssen 🧧 WeChat / 微信: https://prnt.sc/u3inr6 ➡️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=8VB8979JHJ97W ₿ Bitcoin: 32go3tLiu88jibJhWgK3RstmXsW2FFELJ8 -------------------------- ✅ Subscribe to my newsletter: http://cyrusjanssen.substack.com ✅ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/cyrusjanssen?sub_confirmation=1 ✅ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cyrustalkschina ✅ Twitter: https://twitter.com/thecyrusjanssen ✅ 西瓜视频:https://www.ixigua.com/home/4468069057169668 ✅ B站视频:https://space.bilibili.com/1052709457 ✅ 抖音:@温哥华老外 -------------------------- Interested in Stock Trading? As we learn the classical guitar, do our fingertips ever stop hurting? The good news is 'Yes'. Keep playing, and those callouses will toughen up. That said, if you press down too hard on those strings, you'll make your fingertips sore again. Over time, we get better at using the appropriate amount of pressure. And our fingers stop hurting. #classicalguitarshed #guitar #classicalguitar #music #guitartips #fingertips #fingerpain #callouses #pressure #guitartips #relief

ClassicalGuitarShed.com can help you on the journey. If you want to rise to new levels in your playing, it just takes time and strategic work. To play classical guitar well, you need to know: * how to hold and touch the guitar - form and positioning * how to move your fingers and hands - efficient, clean, and fluid * how to learn pieces - reading music, understanding what you see, ingraining, polishing * how to craft the music so it is beautiful - swells and fades, rhythm, touch * how to practice so all these skills improve over time and don't go away At the root of beautiful playing is a solid technique (aka “the way your hands move”). You may have beautiful music in your head, but if your hands can't play it, it won't come out of the guitar. But bad technique puts a limit on your playing. Speed, tone quality, and control can suffer. Good technique gets stronger and more instinctive with every practice. It forms the bedrock foundation for your music. And you may want to understand music so you learn it more easily and it makes more sense. This can help you avoid the excess frustration and dismay that comes with shoddy practice and prolonged confusion. But playing the notes is not enough. Like an actor bring words to life, we breathe life into our pieces. And we can do this in an organized way, day in and day out, reliably. Great musicians can play wonderfully in any mood. They do not rely on emotions. Instead, they create music that affects our emotions. This is a trained skill, not an inborn talent. Playing classical guitar is a long-term study. It's something we do in our homes as part of our days. We play for ourselves, for the quality it adds to life. We may enjoy playing guitar for others, but most of the time we are alone with our work. There are methods and formulas for great practice. We can use our time well so that see more progress. We can fix the problems and erase the mistakes. And we can enjoy conquering the plentiful challenges that classical guitar music offers. If you plan to play classical guitar for any length of time, it is worth it to get help. It's not something we can do on our own, like folk music. I have a structured and organized course to help you play classical guitar. The European Central Bank is demanding from DiEM25 💶20,000 for 'legal fees'. All because we dared to ask for information that should be publicly available. We won't allow powerful institutions like the ECB to intimidate us. Sign the petition and donate to help us fight back! Sign this petition: https://internal.diem25.org/en/petitions/86 Donate: https://i.diem25.org/en/donations/to/petition86 MORE INFORMATION In 2015, the European Central Bank (ECB) forced Greece’s banks to close as part of the Troika’s attempt to intimidate the newly-elected Greek government into abandoning what it had been voted in to do: renegotiate the country’s public debt, fiscal policy and reform agenda. Ad: You and your company can try Onshape for Free at https://Onshape.pro/JamesBruton I found various robots on YouTube that can go upstairs, of course including Boston Dynamics Spot Mini. My openDog project isn’t really ready for that though, even though it can walk over lumps of wood. I also have these bends in my stairs which means there’s limited turning space in two places, so it’s going to need to be something much smaller. I came across a few tracked robots and robots with multiple wheels on pivots so they can just drive up stairs. These look good on test steps, but they’d need upscaling significantly to get up actual stairs which tend to be larger and quite steep. Then I found a stair cleaning robot which splits itself into three vertical sliding sections to lift itself up on each step. The middle section has four wheels to hold it stable, and it also looks like it has omni-wheels so it can slide sideways to clean each step as it goes. This seems like quite a good design, although the stairs it’s climbing are fairly deep so all three sections can fit on one step. My stairs are a lot shallower than that which means the robot would need to be much thinner, and the middle section would be much less stable when it lifts the back or front up. So I’m going to adapt this design with an extending section that will allow it to span three steps at once to keep it stable. Studies show that if we exaggerate our mistakes, it helps us avoid them in the future. With classical guitar, we might have a habitual hand position problem. Or we might have a problem with a particular technical challenge. So exaggerate the mistake. Do it wrong. In fact, do it wildly wrong, just for a moment or two. You won't be able to miss it happening next time. You'll be more aware - and then you can sort it out. #classicalguitarshed #guitar #classicalguitar #music #guitartips #practicetip #idealpractice #mistakes #exaggeratemistakes #awareness #problemsolving
