So today we are scanning a variety of surfaces (gage block, mirrors, silicon, mica) to see how they compare in flattness and roughness. The flattest surface is considered "atomically flat", meaning the surface is a single, continuous layer of atoms in the crystal all at the same height. Wild! I mention in the video, but it should be noted that flatness and smoothness/roughness are not quite the same. Flatness is a global property of how planar the surface is, while smoothness/roughness is a measure of smaller deviations from the average or median surface. I freely interchange the terms, partially on accident, but also because at the scan size it becomes a bit meaningless. Raybrig headlights: https://amzn.to/2VSwLWA Full story of the Raybrig NSX: https://japanesenostalgiccar.com/motorsport-honda-nsx-jgtc-supergt-raybrig-blue-livery-last-race/ So today we're doing something we haven't done in a long time and that's to work on the mr2. And what we're doing is installing and reviewing these Raybrig headlights. These are an upgrade from the stock glass lights and are supposed to offer better lighting performance as well as a more modern look. As you can see they fit a very wide variety of vehicles that have pop-up headlights or use the standard rectangular 5x7 headlights. Obviously to install the new headlights we need to remove the old ones, but before we do that I'll take a little drive in the darkness to record the performance of the old headlights for reference and comparison. To remove the old headlights we need to remove both the top metal cover and the black plastic enclosure. On each side of the headlight you will find four bolts. The top two bolts hold the top cover and these two bolts hold the black plastic enclosure. Now we have access to the four bolts which hold the metal surround and the headlight in place. We're only interested in the top two and bottom two bolts. We're not touching the bolts on the sides as these are only for beam angle adjustment. Unfortunately the bolts that hold the headlight are Philips head bolts that have rusted into oblivion and removing them with a screwdriver is impossible. What I usually do in situations like these is to simply get an angle grinder and cut slots into the heads of the bolts. Of course you want to be extra careful with the angle grinder here to prevent damage to any other parts of the car or the headlight surround. Once you have the slots cut you can use a flat screwdriver and remove the bolts. I have only removed the top two bolts as there isn't enough room for the angle grinder to access the bottom two bolts. I then disconeccted the headlight connection and very gently bent the metal surroung to remove the headlight Raybrig is well known Japanese brand in the lighting industry and they are part of the Stanley Electric groUp. However since March of 2021 Stanley electric has discontinued the Raybrig brand name and these lights are no longer manufactured with the Raybrig branding on them. In the future these will be manufactured with the same high quality specs but with Stanley branding instead. I personally really like the look of the raybrig lights as they are an upgrade without looking tacky or too modern. My set is the clear type but you can also get these with a light blue tint which is also looks really nice. I decided to transfer my old bulbs into the new headlights to make the comparison as fair as possible. Once the bulbs are in the install is simply the reverse process of removal. But now for the real test with footage on the same road and on the same night, using the same bulbs, just an hour apart. Top is stock, bottom is raybrig. As you can probably tell there is a lot of difference between the two. At first the raybrigs felt a bit weird to me because they cast a lot of light on the sides and very adjacent to the car, it's hard to describe, but it was something I wasn't used to. I believe this is a consequence of the raised side profile of the light. It But after a few minutes you get used to this effect and it isn't something bad. When it comes to low-beam performance the raybrigs are definitely better. They light up more of the road and they light it up better. You can also see more stuff on the side of the road, so at night these are definitely safer and a better choice than stock. When it comes to high beams I honestly always thought the stock lights were good. So although raybrig might be marginally better here too it's not something very noticeable. Overall the only advantage of the stock lights is that they're made from thick glass so they're virtually indestructible under normal use but other than that they rabyrigs are a really nice upgrade. They improve safety and at least in my opinion look a lot better too. And there you have it I hope you find this little video helpful if you decide to change the headlights on your car too. The intent is for you to get a feel on how MadRasana Workout albums were recorded. It was a unique setup where the artists were at the center of the hall facing each other and the audience were sitting around the artists are very close proximity. The audience also got live feed from the mixing console and they could listen to the mix through their headphones. You can swipe left, right, up and down to get a full 360 view. If you have a VR headset you can look around through that too. The audio was also recorded on a consumer level 360 VR microphone to test the spanning of the sound. But for this video we just used the stereo mix. Chicago was home to a massive elevated walkway dubbed the “pedestrian highway.” It connected buildings just west of the downtown loop -- at the East Campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago -- and created a multilevel network of human activity. It was designed by Walter Netsch, the architect of the Air Force Academy Campus and famous chapel in Colorado Springs. The walkway was giganitc and monumental. It was even featured in the horror film Candyman from the early 1990s. But, over time, the walkway fell into disrepair and the decision was made to demolish this piece of iconic urban infrastructure. SEC Charges Stable Road SPAC and Space Startup Momentus with Misleading Claims. The SEC announced on Tuesday that it charged blank-check company Stable Road Acquisition Corp (SRAC.O), its sponsor SRC-NI, space exploration company Momentus Inc and two executives for misleading claims over their planned merger. The SEC said the companies and Stable Road Acquisition Company Chief Executive Brian Kabot agreed to pay $8 million to resolve allegations they misled investors about Momentus Inc.'s technology and national security risks associated with its former CEO Mikhail Kokorich. The entities, settled with the SEC without admitting or denying the allegations. An attorney for Kokorich, who is fighting the SEC's charges in court, said his client "looks forward to a resolution of this matter which is favorable to him." This marks the latest escalation in the SEC's crackdown on Wall Street's special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, frenzy, which has reached a record over $100 billion this year. The SEC's action is the first targeting all sides of a SPAC transaction as well as executives in an investigation that took under a year, an SEC official said. According to the SEC, Kokorich and Momentus, an early-stage space transportation company, repeatedly told investors that it had "successfully tested" its propulsion technology in space, when its only in-space test had failed to achieve its primary objectives or demonstrate the technology's commercial viability. The regulator also alleged that Momentus and Kokorich misrepresented the extent to which national security concerns involving Kokorich undermined Momentus' ability to secure governmental licenses essential to its operations. The SEC accused Stable Road, its sponsor and Kabot of negligence-based fraud. Today I'm going to be showing you the classic barking dog experiment that I did a while ago on my main channel. To do this, I just have to fill a tall cylinder with nitrous oxide gas and add a few drops of a solvent called carbon disulfide. Now I just need to cover the top, and shake it around a bit. I should now have a mixture of the nitrous and the carbon disulfide, and all I have to do is light it on fire. #shorts

A few weeks ago I built a robot with ball-shaped omni-directional wheels. I've been looking another 'weird wheels' idea to build. I came across Fordson Rotaped tracks in various YouTube videos which seemed interesting. To add an extra challenge to it though I decided to make my robot balance on the two track sprockets rather than use leading or trailing wheels.
