It starts with music and the orchestra playing as attendants move towards the ring. The ringmaster (probably the famous George Lockhart) ensures everything is in order, and the first night begins with an Indian bareback rider escorted by clowns. The rider, known as the great white Chief Running Water, demonstrates his horsemanship, followed by a performance from the famous three Austin clowns. The conductor cues the next act, a hand balancer, who performs impressive balancing tricks. The Shetland ponies, with their lady trainer, respond to orders and perform well. The trapeze artists, including the flying twins, perform daring stunts, such as the human pendulum. The famous Adagio dancers, Bol and Merin, perform, with the girl jumping from a high platform and being caught safely by her partner. The clowns return with comedic stunts, followed by a knife thrower, the merry muttons Mavis and Mmadu, a strongman act, a wire walker, and a juggler performing with rings. The Oxfords then perform a basketball game on bikes, which continues with fast-paced action. The audience rises as the first night ends with the playing of the king. The first Belle Vue Circus (so named because it took place at the eponymous Belle Vue Gardens) took place in 1922, and again in 1929. After that year it became a regular Christmas-time event held in the Kings Hall. Ringmaster George Lockhart became synonymous with the Belle Vue Circus, and his face was used on many advertising posters. Belle Vue Zoo superintendent Gerald Iles included some of the zoo's animals in the circus, in a feature called Noah's Ark. Another of the circus stalwarts was resident band leader and Belle Vue's musical director Fred Bonelli, who led various Belle Vue circus bands for 40 years, and Jacko the Clown and his partner "Little Billy" Merchant, who performed for three decades. The last circus to take place in the Kings Hall before its sale was in 1981. 00:00: Music plays. 0:13-0:21: The musical beginning as the orchestra plays and attendants move towards the ring. 0:21-0:45: The ringmaster ensures everything is in order and the first night begins. 1:10-1:15: The first act features an Indian bareback rider escorted by clowns. 1:15-1:29: The rider, known as the great white Chief Running Water, demonstrates his horsemanship. 1:29-1:52: The famous three Austin clowns perform. 2:11-2:22: The conductor cues the next act, a hand balancer. 2:22-2:51: The hand balancer performs impressive balancing tricks. 3:05-3:22: The hand balancer continues with more balancing feats. 3:38-3:54: The Shetland ponies perform with their lady trainer. 4:10-4:33: The ponies respond to orders and perform well. 4:33-5:01: The trapeze artists, known for their daring acts, perform next. 5:01-5:14: The flying twins perform on the trapeze. 5:14-5:53: The trapeze artists perform various stunts, including the human pendulum. 5:53-6:08: The famous Adagio dancers, Bol and Merin, perform. 6:08-6:46: The girl climbs to a high platform and jumps, caught safely by her partner. 7:05-7:21: The clowns return with their act. 7:21-7:37: The clowns perform various comedic stunts. 7:37-7:51: The knife thrower performs his act. 8:00-8:13: The merry muttons, Mavis and Mmadu, perform. 8:13-8:31: The strongman act follows. 8:31-8:42: The wire walker performs. 8:42-9:01: The juggler performs with rings. 9:01-9:26: The juggler continues his act. 9:26-9:38: The juggler performs more tricks. 9:38-10:12: The Oxfords perform a basketball game on bikes. 10:12-10:48: The basketball game continues with fast-paced action. 10:48-11:02: The audience rises as the first night ends with the playing of the king. The UK has sanctioned Israeli settlers accused of violence against Palestinians, triggering a fierce backlash from some of Israel’s strongest supporters, including US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. Huckabee has accused the British government of “Jew hate” while acknowledging that Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband is Jewish. Britain’s Chief Rabbi has also described the sanctions as a “dark day for British Jews.” The controversy has reignited debate over the distinction between criticism of the Israeli government and antisemitism, with critics warning against conflating the actions of the Israeli state with Jewish people worldwide. The UK government has condemned what it describes as violence and “ethnic cleansing” by extremist settlers, while Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank are considered illegal under international law. With settlement expansion continuing under Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, the sanctions have intensified questions over Britain’s response to settler violence - and whether opposition to Israeli government policy is being unfairly portrayed as hostility towards Jews. Piers Morgan is joined by spokesman for the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Doron Spielman, former Israeli ambassador to Canada, Ambassador Alan Baker, US-Israeli journalist Emily Schrader, author & host of the Owen Jones podcast, Owen Jones, and Palestinian-American journalist, Omar Baddar. 00:47 Introduction 04:36 Doron Spielman on Mike Huckabee settler sanction comments 07:43 Piers: "You’ve collectively punished Gaza for the acts of Hamas" 18:30 Was Netanyahu warned about Hamas attacks? 22:08 Panel join the show to discuss Israeli settlers 23:45 Owen Jones: "The endgame is for the West Bank to be rid of Palestinians" 27:04 Alan Baker: "Your claims about international law are wrong" 32:17 Omar: "We are dealing with people who are effectively ISIS" 39:21 Owen Jones accuses Alan of being the legal advisor to the Israeli Government 47:37 Claims Netanyahu was warned about October 7th Subscribe to stay up-to-date on all Uncensored content.

"Ja, we gaan weg. Niets daarvan was zwart, alles was gedocumenteerd. Journalist Rozina Ali discusses a largely forgotten episode of post-9/11 Islamophobia, when hundreds of Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim were mass-arrested and detained in the United States. Later, the Bush administration instituted a registry for foreign nationals from Muslim-majority countries, leading to thousands of unjust deportations. "There has been no apology about that," says Ali.

🇳🇱 Last Tuesday, a group of more than 30 armed men took part in a shootout in the Dutch town of Overasselt. Allegedly, they were trying to recover more than a ton of stolen cocaine. They ended up killing a 51-year-old security guard and injuring two police officers. As of right now, 35 suspects have been arrested, including two French minors, but details surrounding the incident remain scarce. The shootout has sparked a debate in the Netherlands over drug-related violence and the illicit economy that hides behind it. In addition to vigilante attacks targeting Muslims or those perceived to be Muslim, there was also state repression including police roundups, community surveillance, prosecutions on often flimsy terrorism charges and mass deportations. Meanwhile, the wars launched by the United States in the aftermath of 9/11 have killed close to 1 million people in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen and elsewhere, according to the Costs of War Project at Brown University. Some of the papers indicate that officials lied about the hazardous toxins that burned and remained near ground zero for months afterward, even as the government assured New Yorkers the air was safe to breathe and rushed to reopen Lower Manhattan for business. In addition to the nearly 3,000 people killed on 9/11, thousands more are believed to have died from illnesses related to the attacks, including from cancer, heart disease and respiratory conditions. Osama Bin Laden: https://youtu.be/z9-ozwn03jE The vicious tyrant Francois ‘Papa Doc” Duvalier ruthlessly dominated Haiti using violence and Voodoo. Rising from a humble country doctor, he made himself into a figure so terrifying to his people that many believed he had links with the Voodoo deity Baron Samedi, guardian of the graveyard. So complete was his control that people feared even to think about resisting him. He claimed to have caused the death of President John F Kennedy, and even that he could speak to the dead. His private militia, the notorious Ton Ton Macoutes, became a byword for brutality, torturing and killing thousands of Haitians. To maintain his power he made school children watch public executions, and massacred the families of anyone he suspected of challenging his power. He looted his country, stealing millions from some of the poorest people on earth. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual youtube channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature.
